This was the cake my grandma always baked me for my birthday. All of the grandkids got to pick what cake they wanted her to bake them. Everybody else chose chocolate with chocolate fudge frosting. But this was my favorite!
@@TammyTorres416RECIPE: Cake: 3/4 cup butter, room temperature 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 3 large eggs, room temperature 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup sour cream, room temperature For the brown sugar swirl: 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tablespoon cinnamon For the Streusel: 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 1 Tablespoon cinnamon 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup butter, room temperature INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a tube pan with parchment paper on the bottom, then grease the sides with butter. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, whisking to combine. Slowly alternate folding in the flour mixture and the low fat sour cream into the wet ingredients until everything is combined. To make the streusel, place the walnuts, cinnamon, flour, salt and sugar in a food processor and pulse until the walnuts look well chopped. Pulse in the butter until just combined. To make the brown sugar swirl mixture, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Stir to combine and set aside. Pour half of the batter into the tube pan, then sprinkle with brown sugar mixture. Pour in the rest of the batter, then top with the streusel. You’ll want to squeeze the streusel into your hands, making it dense like wet sand, then sprinkle it over the batter. Bake for 50 minutes, then allow to cool slightly before removing from pan!
My mom makes these cakes for me.....but she swirls the cinnamon & brown sugar throughout the cake....then cover the top with a cinnamon, brown sugar & pecan mixture. It's literally one of the best cakes I've ever had in my life.😁🤤

I did it today as you show us but the last layer ( crumbs ) it did not stay up it goes in middle 😢 but still very delicious - how can I let the crumbs stay up
Looks soooo good. But would have been awesome to see how you got it out of the pan so perfectly.........AND how they got the streusel more the top? Care to answer that? I won't subscribe to a channel that the author won't answer questions.
I grew up with a carpeted kitchen. Yes it was nearly impossible to keep clean. Yes it was disgusting. No I would not recommend it but hers looks lovely! 😂
i tried it today and usually i don't leave a comment on youtube..but this cake is amazing!! first i tried your brownies they were a BIGGG hit..now this! it's so fancy and delicious and moooist .. i'm in love with your recipes.. i'm waiting your carrot cake recipe i think you still didn't make one right? thank you ❤ i'm making your blondies and pumpkin cake soon 😊 btw i used yogurt instead of sour cream and it was perfect
When I first took it out of the Bundt pan after it cooled for a little I flipped it on a plate and again on another plate where I want to display the coffee cake. Make sure before you do go around the pan with a knife so it won’t stick. Mind didn’t. Good luck.
Is it me or am I missing something 🤔 you didn't add Coffee 😅 I add coffee to my sponge cake and I make a cinnamon whipped cream to top it with it's very light and fluffy 🥳
Cinnamon cake is a wintry cake, rather than an autumn one (pumpkin pie holds the title of most popular fall desert). Brothers Grimm's rather blood-curdling stories and fairytales are populated by characters that enjoy piece of cinnamon cake at winter time and often in the dead of winter, cinnamon as a very strong spice being more palatable during cold weather, you see.
