Absolutely right on, the little compressors dont keep up with hopper guns. You confirmed my thoughts as I suspected the Makita MAC is a monster air compressor that out performs its relatively little size. Thanks so much for your review!

You may have just solved my dilemma on trying to decide on a compressor for shooting texture. I am a DIYer but have been frustrated when shooting texture with my 15 year old (still running strong) pancake compressor. I almost purchased a duel tank Rigid (~4 gallon) or a 15 gallon upright DeWalt, but stopped the purchase process after reading multiple negative reviews when discussing maintaining consistency in pressure. I will definitely research the Mikita compressor! Thanks for sharing!
