Just like Frieren, Delicious in dungeon is a different take on fantasy anime! I it's a fun watch. I wouldn't say it's better then Frieren tho. But it's definitely one of the best anime's this season.

as the story progresses, things will start to get a lot darker and more interesting. watch the last 3 episodes that have been released, it's already starting. btw. thanks for uploading the video, I appreciate it

@@GENKIDAGREAT give me genre and i will give you anime, Preaty old and not know by many is 'Ima Soko ni iru buko' - dark isekai from 90' If you want romance, then the best option is 'Clanad', for Sci fi without mecha try 'lain' and 'ergo proxy', and for mecha only and always 'code geas'

0:41 Agree. This might be about your preferrence tho. For me, as a finished manga reader, Dungeon meshi has the better *world building*, *character design - development* and *story telling* than even Fierren. Fierren is great: simple, touching and eye-pleasing combats (which is relied on the animation) which is easy to aproach large audience. Dunmesh is delicated well braided art work, like a literature need to be studied, so that people tend to get bored and sleep on the true beauty of it as they don't pay a slightest attetion to details. And, is it really a *cooking* anime? Dunmesh is gonna bring "Eating" into a whole new level of concept literally.

@@GENKIDAGREAT since you wanna read the manga, I suggest 2 ways: 1. Read all the way back from the start: you can find some details was cut off in the anime due to it limited time. It’s not a big deal but showing more depth in the worldbuilding. 2. Read from the current episode: ep 19 is chap 42 in manga. You can start at chap 43 to catch up with what would happen in the future. As I said, Dunmesh is well braided, because every event is built to explained the past and foreshadow the incoming events, like a single fine silk thread then weaving with others, slowly reveal the final canvas. And you don't "have to", I just hope people can enjoy the greatness of Dunmesh as it is.

There are two types of people who watch this show. Those that calls it a cooking anime, and those that call it an anime about eating. This is why the original title is Dungeon Meshi, not DnD.

I was also a bit mid about the resurrection but it has an explanation about why in this dungeon but there is also limits to it and the characters still feel the pain. For me, it’s perfect way to add resurrection to this story.
