Bet u catch a lot of crap for the garbage ur company puts out. I'd love to own a dyson but when every big company's back out from dyson Then there's a issue
@@Blind890113 us consumer reviews is a big one that dropped the "recommended" in general for dyson.. I'd love to have one.. just.. one issue... a damn do I hate that
Having my V11 for six months now, I really do like it. I was very skeptical at first, thinking it was a gimmick. I was convinced by the wife to buy it, glad I was persuaded. It is far more powerful than our old corded vac. Well done dyson. To this day, I'm still freaked out how much dust is in our carpets.
@@allertonoff4 Wrong. You want status symbol you get a watch or a car. Nobody cares what vaccum you use in your house. LOL Now, on the corded versus cordless, I also used to not give a danm about cordless and was very happy with my Dyson corded. Have been using it for 10+ years. Until it broke the handle by falling down. I got a V8. Night and day difference in terms of convenience. No longer am I limited by the cord length, nor have to deal with and untangle the cord, which always seem to be on my way. Not to mention the huge wait difference. I find myself vacuuming a lot more often, and I actually enjoy the vacuuming. Before it was a chore.
i never thought a 20 year old young man such as myself would find myself looking at a vacuum review but i must say, now im comtemplating buying this vaccum cuz damn this looks impressive for cleaning.
Dyson need to take your expertise seriously. The video is really informative and the skill you have really got tons of information and useful to improve/understand the product 👍
Nextboy Martin you give better info then the sales person where I got mine., the only two things I don’t like for the price I paid for mine is the battery life in boost mode and your have to have your finger on the tigger all the time and this bother when you planing use it all around the house.
@@evelia1045 I wondered about having to hold that trigger down all the time. Bummer. Maybe I can get a velcro strip and use that to hold it while I vacuum if I purchase this vacuum.
I am 8 month pregnant mom and i got so tired setting up my cord vacuum cleaner, yanking it each time it gets stuck behind furniture, not being able to reach higher surfaces, having to bend down each time i need to adjust the cord. I bought dyson 11. I love it. I must admit i have it for few weeks only, but i enjoy vacuuming with it. It’s fast, efficient, not very loud, easy to clean. I hope it will last me for many many years.
I just bought a v11 torque drive and it is awesome. Cleaned my carpet and hard wood like nothing. Picked up so much hair, lint and ground in dirt. Unreal so easy to use and convenient. It will get used more often because of ease of use compared to my upright. So results are cleaner floor more often. Definitely worth it and its not that loud.
Watched a lot of your reviews now over a period of 1 year. Really good and well summarised reviews and comparisons. You should be really proud of the good work, which you do here. I can imagine that you helped a lot of people with the choice of a vacuum cleaning device, me including :)
My Mom vacuums all the time, it's clear these machines weren't made for the use she puts them through. The Dyson's are very nice and the best for what she does but they just don't last very long if you use them as much as she does. She's had a V6 and a V10 and is about to purchase a V11, but to be fair the batteries and motors are fine, its the plastic connections that wear out quickly. Everything gets loose and the connections aren't made to the beater bars, along with the constant cleaning to the heads to keep them from binding up. Someday Dyson needs to make a professional version made of metal or better components that will last a longer.
Pete Rabotinsky they will likely never make one. There are plenty of great commercial vacuums for people who need a more industrial tool. Their products are mostly for people who use it on a semi regular basis.
Thanks, this showed me I should invest in a good vacuum, been struggling for a year with a crappy one that just popped itself. Just the cost with Dyson is why they keep innovating. We are paying for vacuum and battery technology research.
Thank you for such an informative video... I just purchased the v11 torque drive and am loving it! I'm picking up such tiny fine particles that I've never seen before. Now I understand all the excitement regarding Dyson vacuum cleaners!
I got V11 based on your reviews. No regrets. Its super duper amazing. - I was not aware how much dirt we live in. We have 4 cats and even on medium settings v11 gets the pet hair out of the carpet on a SINGLE push.
One thing to consider is how narrow the fluffy head roller actually is. It will take you forever to vacuum your whole house if it is all hard surface. I've gone back to using a simple dry type mop which is 3 times the width. I'll only use the Dyson once in a while for a deep clean but believe me it takes forever to cover every square inch- does work very well tho...until the battery dies :-(
@@jasonwhitton8106 Try vacuuming a large 24' x 35' space...considering a robot vac instead for convenience. The Dyson is fine for smaller floor areas imo.
If they could incorpotate Mieles configuration change feature, so it could go from stick to stand alone (less strain on your arm as the weight is redistributed closer to the ground, and it can stand upright on its own when needed) and vice versa, and make it so you don't have to constantly keep the power button pressed (it becomes annoying when vacuuming for extended periods of time), this would be head and shoulders above everything else on the market. It's still one of the best cordless vacuums as is, I'm just saying there is still some room for improvement. Great review!
I have the V11 Torque and I must say, this Vacuum is the Honda, Nissan and Toyota of Vacuums!!! "BUILT TO LAST!!" This machine is pricey, YES!! Worth it? YES!! I sucked up a rug soaked in water from a portable AC (didn't know it was wet, its a dark rug) and still working unaffected. If the motor/battery is bigger than previous V series dyson's, I promise it's not enough weight to tire you out. I vacuum this same rug everyday. It's under my dining table we rarely sit at and no traffic and it sucks up hella dust everytime. I promise you won't regret splurging!!
Your videos are so good all-around compared to other content on RU-vid it doesn’t even matter that you only talk about vacuum cleaners. You deserve more subscribers!
Just bought one yesterday. Certainly sucks well and was able to do the house on one charge as we only have carpet in the bedrooms and the rest is polished floorboards. The main downside is when using it on any carpet with more than very small pile the unit is hard to move (push/pull). I am surprised that wasn't addressed in this review. I don't think it would be good for wool carpets which ours aren't. It was worse on a couple of our rugs with a pile length of nearly 1cm. It was close to impossible even on the eco setting (less suction) and the gate switch on the head unit on the - opening the front (also for less suction). I am a reasonable strong male so an elderly or weaker person would find it very difficult.
I just bought the V11 Absolute a week ago and I am so frikkin’ happy with it. I always hated vacuuming, because of the wire that keeps tangling behind furniture and the fact you have to drag the thing behind you. I have never vacuumed my home so many times as since I use the V11. Almost every day (which isn’t time wasted: I got 2 dogs and 1 cat). The first time I used it, I had to empty the dustbin for 3 times... and now it is so much more clean on my floors, that I can do the entire house and only have to empty it once. I also have the V7 animal, but I almost only used that on our fabric couch and on the carpet on the stairs, because of the short battery life. The V11 is expensive, yes, but it is totally worth it. I can vacuum my house for 3 days without having to charge the battery.
Great video. Looks like the V11 is significantly better. It appears as though the low setting on the V11 is comparable with the medium setting on the V10 as far as suction. When considering that in conjunction with the battery life, you can run the V11 on low for 66 minutes with torque drive, where as the V10 would need to run on medium with only 27 minutes of battery time. Thats a vast difference in operating time for comparable suction strength. Therefore the battery on the V11 would go through fewer cycles and have a greater lifetime than the V10. When that is considered along with the LCD screen, higher max suction, lower noise, and the dynamic load sensor, I had no choice but to settle on the V11.
Very good, I found 1 little fault which is where the bin meets the shaft pushing back and forth on thick carpet the pressure on that point made the adaption part split. But other than that it's the best vacuum I have ever used and I will continue to use. And I'm a clean freak
wow outstanding review loaded with so much useful information on components I will not even consider comparing ! The best review I have ever seen on a vacuum cleaner :)
We recently purchased V11 Torque Drive cordless with wall mount and new floor stand/charger. We purchased from QVC because was their special of the day for $499 ! Purchased the V10 and had to return Hope to have better experience with new Dyson
The con about weight is not a minor issue. Go to a local shop and see for yourself, the v11 is slightly larger and definitely heavier. I decided on the v10 because the v11 is quite bulky. I know my wife will be using this and she’s petite so definitely an important consideration. The v10 is already a relatively heavy vacuum in my opinion.
Nice review. I bought my v11 in Switzerland. There are 3 models. V11 animal (cheapest without the automatic torque brush) the absolute and the absolute pro (both with the high torque brush. The display changes as well. For the cheapest model (v11 animal) you get the low/medium/boost screen and for the other two you get the low/auto/boost. Cheers.
Have you ever tested the V11 filter before and after washing it to see how much particulate material is being emitted. The filter might not be as effective after washing it and continue to get worse with each wash
Forget Dysons, they are good, but way OVERPRICED & OVERHYPED! Just go for this Chinese made Proscenic i9 from Amazon for around £134 which is not only around a quarter of the price of the V11,but crucially, it also beats the Dyson hands down in the design stake as well! Here's why: 1)The Proscenic has a standalone upright design that doesn't need to be wall mounted, hence you can leave it anywhere to charge the battery. 2) the dust bin is NOT connected to the hosepipe, hence you don't have to remove it to empty the bin! 3)it has intelligent dust recognition suction power, ie.the coarser the dust/debris, the greater the suction! 4)led lights at the front of the brush head so you can see in dark spots, under the bed, for eg.
AWESOME video as always!!! Love your videos!!! Keep them coming. I am going to pick this up tonight!! Have the V8 and the V10 love them!! Makes vacuuming tons of insidious pet hair from my 2 Jack Russell terriers so easy!!!
Any advice on charging times for the V11? Is it best to discharge as low as possible and recharge to full or just leave it on the charger when finished using each time?
SO glad I waited and didn’t buy the V10!! Great review. It really helps. I wish it wasn’t SO expensive though. Also it’s a bummer they didn’t include the soft roller. I have all hardwood downstairs and I would benefit from that tool. Oh, well! 🤷♀️
I got the animal best hover I ever had im disabled it light and my dog made my red carpet white 0ne pass it was red and it continues to keep it clean way to go dyson worth ever penny
Thank you for these great videos I really enjoy them a lot. I wonder if you would be able to provide information or experience on how much cleaner (%) does the Fluffy soft roller performed over the Torque Drive on the hard surface? I do agree with you that the Torque drive is more convenience and changing over is inconvenience for few small patches of carpet or floor mat.
In the U.S., if you buy from the Dyson website right now, you get a free fluffy for the v11. Just make sure you choose it instead of the Dok as your free add on for auto-registering.
Should also add to the cons that Dyson still will not allow removable batteries on these vacuums. Which is a shame and makes it more difficult than it needs to be to replace if needed.
My house is only hard floors and I just got the absolute version imported and I just realized when he said you could just buy the fluffy head. My worst BRUH moment ever. Edit: I don't lug around the torque head, I just use it first on the rugs and carpets, and also you could just put it in that things that holds attachments. Doesn't stay all that well, but you could.
I purchased a V11 Torque Drive back in August, and after a little over three months of use, I'm convinced that the era of the corded & bagged vacuum cleaner is now in the past. Heck, this thing is actually so much fun to use that I've gotten into a few friendly arguments with the wife on who gets to use it! So to put a stop to the back and forth, I bought a second V11 Torque Drive for myself to use on the lower level.
Odd with the different country specs. Canada has the Absolute version and for $100 less, the version without the fluffy roller. But no 'Animal' version from Dyson Canada.
I bought the v10 absolute for $400 direct from dyson a few weeks ago... I pretty much use the fluffy head 10x as much as the torque head since over half my home is hard flooring. But the torque head works well on the stairs.
Charge time doesn't even matter. More battery life means you get it all in one run. The next time you have to use it, it'll be charged. Unless like an hour later you spill something huge for whatever reason. Even then you'll still have enough battery life.
I’m deciding between the V12 Detect Slim and the V15 Detect. I really want the V12 Detect Slim because it’s smaller size and on/off button (instead of the V15’s trigger) would make it much more suitable for car cleaning. I also wonder if the V15 is significantly more powerful than the V12, or if the V12 has the same power of the V11. I wonder if the V12 is basically a V11 with the V15’s laser head and piezo sensor, but with the same motor and performance numbers as the retired V11.
One thing I can say about that soft power head, is that you can be super lazy and not pick up cords and run right over them with that thing and it just does not get tangled up. I’m okay with lugging around both the attachments for just that reason alone
wow the head measures power to tell the vacuum how hard to run... Such innovation... sheesh as an EE this is painful, but i guess it is the vacuum industry
