Hi there. I have a buddy who works in haulage that does the same when he's checking manifests in the wee early hours. He was pretty chuffed I recommended it. One of the point I probably didn't stress enough here is these things are ridiculously tough as well. Thanks for watching and commenting... Have a great weekend
Very nice piece. I find charging via USB very practical. But it can also be disadvantageous if the power fails for a long time. Thanks for the great video buddy
Very true, however a man of your calibre, I'm sure you could make a make a bushcraft-style solar power cell to get it charged again :D Thanks for watching buddy
How can we replace the battery? Great video! I just ordered one of these and read that the battery can be replaced and potentially changed out "otg" instead of recharging. I wonder if they'll make the steel part out of titanium, add strobe and SOS (somehow without an additional button), laser pointer, and make the translucent part glow-in-the-dark, add a butt magnet and make a head-strap for it.... boy howdy will that be tough to beat.
Never understood the SOS function on many of these flash lights when 6 flashes and a minute pause is generally the accepted thing at least across Europe and the UK and is internationally recognised. SOS via morse is an archaic thing from maritime.
@@lmaoroflcopter I've never heard of 6 flashes for anything, I live in North America where the Ole SOS is very much alive and well. Or a modified version of just three, as in the case of say using a rifle to signal distress
@@bipedalbob It's the standard taught in the UK with 3 signals in response being the rescuers acknowledgement of receipt of the signal. "The recognized mountain distress signals are based on groups of three, *or six in the UK and the European Schwarzwald*. A distress signal can be three fires or piles of rocks in a triangle, three blasts on a whistle, three shots from a firearm, or three flashes of light, in succession followed by a one-minute pause and repeated until a response is received. *Three blasts or flashes is the appropriate response*. In the Schwarzwald, the recommended way to signal distress is the Schwarzwald distress signal: give six signals within a minute, then pause for a minute, repeating this until rescue arrives. A signal may be anything visual (waving clothes or lights, use of a signal mirror) or audible (shouts, whistles, etc.). The rescuers acknowledge with three signals per minute." From: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distress_signal#Schwarzwald
@@lmaoroflcopter interesting, I had no idea there was so much variation, to bad really If you travel you better know what's being used where Yur going as well as the area passing through or over.
Show to open my A5 Aurora Glow in the dark keychain flashlight? I need to replace the main LED without breaking it and sending it to manufacture i kinds want to learn how to do things myself!
The literature with the light says you can replace it. I haven't tried but it's done by unscrewing the metal head from the poly body. This gives you access to replace the battery. I hope that helps 👍
Hi Luciano. I've just tried it and there is a step down.... plus I double checked the Rovyvon website too. On turbo it drops from 1000 to 300 after 90 seconds. I just tried it on my deck and I'd say that's true. 90 seconds is quite a lot of time when you think other flash lights with a similar lumen level step down after less time. I hope this helps buddy, have a great week
Hi, yes, agreed :D I've seen on some of the newer Rovyvon models they've started to add the double reverse style clips so hopefully they'll all be like that moving forward. Thanks for watching
I did a video on mine to when I first got it because I was blown away. Absolutely love the little bugger. Feature packed is right and not to mention it is damn bright for the size! Great review
Thanks buddy. Yeah, it's crazy bright and possibly one of the best value flashlights out there. I just watched your content. It's a great review too fella. Love your Hitch and Timber sleeves. I've been thinking about getting one for my SAK for a while now... and your belt knife is something else. Very nice in deed. Keep up the great work buddy
Hi, cracking question. If memory serves me right, there isn't a quick press to turbo. All of the double and triple click have their own modes and the long press from off goes to moonlight mode. If it helps, I'm currently testing the A23 from Rovyvon with has a long press from off with is straight to turbo. It's a similar size with a full metal body. Should have some content out in the next few weeks 👌
Hi John. I have wondered this too. I think it's the same battery as on the A23 which is a proprietary lipo battery. The end metal led unit screws off and that's where the internals are available. It might be worth a search on here to see if anyone has broken one down 😁 have a great weekend Sir
Cool content. Have seen these around but never looked into them. It seems like a good all round edc light, personally the usb charging is a no go. Prefer olight magnetic system. The difference small light are a great game changer, with UV and red/white
Hi David. I think magnetic charging is the way forward. Having watched the video back, I realised I didn't mention that when I look at things I'd change. Rovyvon have introduced a torch with magnetic charging so hopefully it's something on the horizon. Although... Most mobile phones now are IP68 rated and still have an open USB C port at the bottom. If they could use the same open USB C port and still have and IP68 rating, I think I could get over not having the magnetic charging. The magnet is pure convinience really :D Thanks for commenting and the continued support. Stay safe and well buddy
Hey Pete, to my knowledge the 25 had the GITD body, whereas this is a simple clear resin body. I really did want the GITD one, but ended up ordering the wrong one. Hope this helps buddy
Hey Feedmii, I could definitely see this. The different features on here make it perfect. Think of all the bodily fluids you could find with the UV light 😂 thanks for watching
Yeah, I really don't know what happened that day. It's as though my hands are moving in tempo with my voice. I'll keep this in mind in future 🤣 hope you're well and have a great week buddy 🤜🤛
Hi Amanda. It's feedback I've had in the past and something I try to work on. I definitely have 'fidgety' hands. Thanks for the comment 😊 stay safe and well, and have a great weekend
Hey BB88. I have to agree with you there. It's definitely a shame, although I'm sure it was mainly a cost thing. Now that USB Type C is getting more common and popular, Rovyvon have started to use it across their newer devices. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a A28+ or something like that. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. It's 100% appreciated. Have a great week
