The best part of morrowind for me as a kid using the paper map in the box to find my location and plan ahead kids these days will never have a kinda experience like that
I love that text of yours! Sure the world is created for us to love, see and take care off. And "us" is all of us, humans, animals, vegtebels! We all share this lovely world! Blesses to you all, and peace!
If you immerse yourself within the music and let the feelings and meanings of the instruments wash over you, some of this music can actually bring tears to your eyes.
sometimes the beauty of a place in a picture ist just that you dont know what is behind the things you can see. when i wander around i can see places that look so beautiful an magical from the distance an when you are there it's just nice. I love those pictures like thisone, when you can only imagine whats behind that hill and behind you that makes it so mystic and you can feel that yen to see distance places
No matter how great Skyrim is, and how great the tales you can imagine to it are, it will never lead me so far astray as Morrowind and Oblivion did. They took me to a world unknown, full of magic to be cast, horror to be felt and adventure to be waged. Thanks for taking me back to this world for 9:26... you just made an RPG-veteran happy.
Baldur's Gate.....Neverwinter Nights.......Morrowind........Oblivion.....Guild Wars THEY REMAIN THE BEST RPG GAMES EVER! And this music playlist is fenomenal, epic and GREAT!
the very first song that plays brings back oh so many memories. Loved Icewind dale 2 then and always will. Personal favorite thing of the game is the voiced tales of what your doing told from the perspective of Oswald Fiddlebenders niece at the intro to each chapter
The truth is, is that you live in a much more beautiful place than in that picture! You and I live in a place of pure ravish! Earth is filled with such wonder and all you have to do to see it is to take a look around. Fields of endless gold of barley and wheat, the infinite blue of a cascading ocean, the limitless green of a mighty rainforest, and mountains that reach up and gently brush the sky with it's rocky fingertips - And best of all, this world is created just for us!
Just made it to the Severed Hand. Only took me 10 years and 5 playthoughs. Savoring the moment... my second mage has six Fireballs consigned to memory, and Flint the Barbarian is wielding the Club Of Destruction +3. The time is almost upon us... XD
I think we have all forgotten the gaming time-period Skyrim was released in. As such a big open-world, it was a pioneer to its new genre of fantasy. It's lasting effect to make us compare it to games nowadays only shows how good of a game it really was and STILL is.
A beautiful way of looking at the world, save for the strange hubris of your last sentence. We are a part of this world, and have evolved within it. It does not belong to us; nor was it created for us. The fact that life seems to be so rare in this universe makes being alive much more magical and wondrous than it could be if we, and the rest of nature, had simply been willed into being. Existence is exhilarating. Inserting wishful thinking into one's worldview is in my view tantamount to heresy.
Nice view of the Imperial city there... Morrowind's soundtrack will always be the best in the world, but TES have got it nailed music-wise, it's perfection ♥
I agree with you on that one, though closing the gates did get tedious after a while. I started to take two hundred mile detours to avoid running into those things
Skyrim was not out yet, when this clip was made. But the song definitely was. I remember hearing the song when the game was first announced in December 2010.
Melissan (BG2: Throne of Bhaal - Inon Zur) Kuldahar (Icewind Dale - Jeremy Soule) Heart of the Forest (Neverwinter Nights - Jeremy Soule) Night on the Plains (Baldur's Gate - Michael Hoenig)
Still loving the "Reign of the Septims", very awesome intro. IMHO you missed some epic soundtracks in your tracklist like: Gothic 3, The Witcher and Ego Draconis :) Anyway thanks for sharing!
Ahh, Targos Town. I got so annoyed when I encountered enemies in the beginning because when I did, this song got replaced by the combat music and then didn't come back until I reentered the area.
thats what makes it so much better. more of a challenge. actually following someones directions instead of some dumb ass arrow that magically points to everything.
would just like to point out, the second track isn't called Call of Magic, but is in fact Nerevar Rising. Other than that, awesome selection, hope to see more in a similar vein!
I do believe that first screenshot is from Oblivion. The tower looks like part of the Imperial City :D I was secretly hoping there was Elder Scrolls music and Pictures, but you can never tell XD
I think its a nostalgia thing, but i agree, I loved the mystery and sense of adventure in Morrowind and oblivion. thats not to say Skyrim isn't brilliant! great music!
The pleasure of a fantasy is that is a dream,Facts are what guides our knowledge,Morals are what makes your choices bad or good.Life is about living not to serve some higher power that isn't there. You act as if we there is no gratitude you are wrong about what you have implied through your speech.Philosophy is not you're strong suit I'm glad you felt the need to share it on RU-vid but it is irrelevant.
