I think because Inns are such a key location in any good fantasy story or RPG. They are were your party meets up before an adventure or kicks back at the end of one, they can pick up quests or rumours, start epic barfights or simply challenge dwarves to drinking contests (That will likely also turn into an epic barfight). Simply put, I don't think there has ever been a fantasy book, game or movie that hasn't had a scene in an inn or tavern
You should install a total suroundsound system in your house, and start playing this upon returning home from your daily work. Next life achievement for me, I suppose.
Where's Michael Hoenig now? Need him to magic up some new games. I played Diablo 3 for a few hours theo ther night, listening to the BG2 Soundtrack in the background, and it made the game 999x better.
