I first started playing in WotLK and I set my sights on getting a raptor mount for my main, an Orc. I remember painstakingly hunting down every Troll quest I could find for that sweet, sweet rep. The feeling though, when I finally marched into Sen'jin and bought my violet raptor, which perfectly matched my hunter pet - if was like nothing else.
And now you can just buy one.. Oh how times have changed, rose tinted glasses, nostalgia, and the jaded reality that constantly creeps up. I wish mounts felt this important again.
I saw you in Stormwind the other day and noticed you'd dinged 40. Congrats. I 'm still going and having so much fun. I have a 43 Mage, 34 priest and 30 warrior now. The AH is crazy these days, I have spent countless hours leveling tailoring and enchanting to 300 and making gold. I have only been playing a few weeks and got my mount at 40. I have 1,500g and have bought 8 epics for my warrior alt (picked up Destiny for 15g the other day - madness!). It's not like back in the old days when we had to scrape for every silver. 19 years on, Classic Wow is still the best. Earning my gold the hard way and buying my black stallion from Menethil Harbour was the highlight for me in my journey so far. Keep going dude. See you at endgame!
@@vulgrin9573 Crash Bandicoot 1 was so difficult. I remember playing through it again recently and i id wonder at times how on Earth did I manage to complete this when i was a kid ahahah. Crash 1 2 and 3 had amazing soundtracks. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back is my fav :)
Yeah it's difficult to feel interested when there are people flying around you on the most insane mounts imaginable. Before that, simply getting your first horse felt amazing
