Everytime I watch these Fish and Chips videos I then crave them. The last fish and chips I had were disappointing and I said to myself I'm not going to have any more for a while. Then....I watch these videos.

I have always thought this chippy was average having stayed in Southwold for family hols etc. Stayed in Thornham, Norfolk this year and tried Eric"s chippy in Thornham - what a revelation! fantastic fish cooked in beer batter and chips in beef dripping amazing.

It all looked lovely! Nicely presented, nice surroundings and the nice extras of the mushy peas and home-made tartar sauce! And Prosecco if you want! What's not to like? I had fish and chips and Prosecco on my birthday! One thing I've found that if the fish sits on top of the chips too long, they do get a bit soft! Good review, from both of you.

We stayed in East Street in Southwold last Summer. Had fish and chips queued for about 90 minutes but my friends husband bought us glasses of wine whilst we queued. Fish was amazing

Theres another one which is just as good and its got a great view, nice to sit out and eat at.....if you go to the front and walk down Ferry Road as if your heading towards Walberswick and then turn right onto Southwold Harbour theres a Sole Bay Fish and Chips down there. Also one called Mr T's Fish and Chips which we haven't tried yet... Also just thought of another one....It is in Conwy in Wales and its in the town on Bangor Road called The Archway. Been there a few times and always really nice fish and chips

The best in Southwold is Mrs T's Fish & Chips at the harbour but the best in Suffolk ALDEBURGH FISH & CHIP SHOP. The best where I am now is Welcome Stranger Lanivet, Cornwall or The Old Forge Cafe Bugle.

You need to come to the West Midlands, Black Country museum the fish and chip shop inside there is to die for! Also videos recently are awesome, great content keep it up :)

They serve Prosecco in Henry’s Chippie in Hunstanton. It’s lovely in there. I can’t say about the Peas, as I don’t usually have them.

Lovely to see your wife and bubs again. The fish was way too small but looked good. I guess it's like a fancy restaurant where less is supposed to be more.

Haha, Tim, you will be my granddaughters best friend. Prosecco is her favourite and with fish and chips you will be the tops. My next visit to Southwold will inched this chippy. You eat Mushy Peas and Tartar Sauce as you like . The cost is quite cheap, ours in MK are very expensive.

Very Nice !! Although over at Robin hoods Bay there is a Chip Shop ( just by the Way Foot) as a challenge ! I agree nothing like a cup of tea with Fish n Chips !!! I’ve had a few Luke warm in a Melamine cup and saucer in my time usually pale blue with white inside ! But that fits perfectly ! Luke warm tea with from a stainless steel teapot with Fish and Chips !! Bread and Butter cut in triangles ! And shaker salt pot ! I love tartare sauce but seriously you got have the sachet !! 😂 love this Tim thank you for sharing !!!

Always enjoy the F&C reviews. Personally, I would have to deduct a mark for it being served in a cardboard box and wooden cutlery. Would have lost two marks if the cutlery had been plastic!

Really enjoyed this review, very informative and honest!!!! The best F&C I've ever had was at Beamish Living Museum in County Durham believe it or not!!! There's a coal fired F&C shop in the Colliery area which uses beef dripping to fry in and, oh my word, it's sensational! Not the cheapest and like this shop, gets ridiculously busy (we waited almost an hour and a half when we went a few years ago - not the best with 2 very hungry children in tow!!!!) Would still highly recommend it though! Also had fantastic F&C at a wee place in Ryde on the Isle Of Wight where they double cooked the chips making them really crunchy on the outside but soft and fluffy in the middle! Again, highly recommend if you ever fancy popping over the Solent ;)

Cooking evaporates alcohol and there is little flavour left from the beer... which is only added to add air to the batter and make it more crispy.

I'm loving the fish and chips reviews. I had mushy peas for the first time in September in Edinburgh....they tasted like green peas. I didn't see the appeal. I do love good fish and chips though, which is weird because I don't ordinarily like fries or fish. Adding the salt and vinegar and dunking them in tartar sauce really does it though. I'm addicted.

Luckily I live near the best fish and chip shop in Kent! Came top of a poll of Kent's eateries. Corries Cabin in Cowes IOW is a favourite too of ours. Love Southwold. Was there last November time. Fish and chips are an expensive treat these days though so only have them once in a while! Wait til Casper can munch on some! Bless him...x J x

I stayed for a week in southwold two weeks ago and this fish and chip shop serves the best fish and chips Ngl however only down side is you have to wait a while especially in the evening on holiday time

The best fish and chips I have ever had was from a chippy in Masham, Yorkshire. They fry their fish in beef dripping 🤤 it was unreal.

Tim, OMG you must try Tasty Plaice, it is a chain in one or two locations, we went to the one at Meadowhall Sheffield today and the chips are to die for, they are amazing and must be some of if not the best chips I have ever had and I have had some fantastic chips over the years from Skeggy, Yarmouth, Norwich etc, I did not try the fish so can not comment on that, but had the mushy peas and they were great too, the meal was also great value. If you get chance you must give them a try. This is Douglas signing off.

The best fish and chips in Suffolk is actually The Beach Fish and Chips in Kessingland, about 5 miles up the coast.

I have left a review and we eat there at least twice a month. It's amazing. Also worth checking is MRS T'S on the harbour. May even be better!

I do think the fish n chips you had in Blackpool looked better more of a crunchy batter, it wasn’t that big either was it? Im with Gabi, i like my feet on the floor & a seat back.
