TRANSCRIPT:
If you're just starting out in fly fishing and you're just looking at starting off your fly box, there's just a couple of flies that you can narrow it down to that are going to do the majority of your fly fishing in Tassie.
So for the drys we'd probably go with the royal wolf (www.trouttalestasmania.com.au...) and the possum emerger (www.trouttalestasmania.com.au...) would probably be the two, so those two there.
If you only had to pick two you could cover most trout in Tassie with those two and have some good success. If you're just starting out have a good look at those two.
In the wets, probably the black and red streamer (www.trouttalestasmania.com.au...) and the orange beaded straggle bugger (www.trouttalestasmania.com.au...) there, the two on the end they're going to do the majority of wet fly fishing.
You don't need a large selection of flies if you're just starting out. Just grab a couple that are going to do the job for you, get up and have some fun around here, up around the highlands.
