Stephanie Marie bought the earrings you are wearing and the little locket necklace. Love their jewelry. A lot of the new arrivals were sold out already. Do they bring them back?
My favorite skin like foundation is Chantecaille Future Skin. I also like the Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation which is also very skin-like. I prefer a light to medium coverage with a radiant/dewy finish instead of matte.
The Dior Face and Body is my absolute fav! I wear it all the time and plan on wearing it on my wedding day In August. It's truly amazing. I have dry to normal skin and it works beautifully
Sooooo many people love that foundation still after 2 years. I think I’ll buy that one next. I just bought the shiseido and Missha. I’m sold on the Dior being my next purchase.
@@TracyD2 , I just read someone else here posted that Dior face and body has a lot of alcohol in it which I'm so disappointed about. I wanted to try it myself, but I have normal to dry skin and will not use something like that on my skin.
I love love love the stila hide and chic! Its gorgeous and looks so smooth and natural. The dior is amazing too but I hate how much alcohol it has so I dont wear it all the time.
I got a sample of Makeup Forever Reboot Foundation and was so impressed with it I ordered a bottle. I also bought their Kabuki foundation brush which I love. I have combo skin and can have some breakouts. This is very skin like, easy to apply and last all day and it doesn’t break me out. Loving it!
The Estée Lauder Futurist works best when I use no more than one pump and apply with fingers. It looks so much better applied this way than with a sponge or brush.
Okay, you sealed the deal! After seeing so many reviews on the Dior backstage face and body foundation, I decided to order (though the Sephora foundation color match has been unreliable!) I ordered it and my daughter loaned me two different Dior foundations she really likes and I found they were also lightweight/skinlike. Dior must be the magic sauce! I cannot wait until my comes!
Ordered the Dior last week after you recommended it in another video. Can’t wait to try it! Thx for all the great content- you’re so polished and professional and I really appreciate all your advice! ❤️❤️❤️
Really? Don't you get shiny after a few hours with EL? I want to try the La Mer or the TF because both are longlasting foundations but not matte but satin finish! Which of the two foundations would you choose?
I use the Stila hide and chic foundation. I have dry skin. I combat the drying formula with a hydrating primer. I wear the glossier future dew underneath the foundation. I apply it with my fingers and use a damp sponge to blend it out on my skin. I like a light coverage. I only use one layer.
@@StephanieMarie I am loving it, but it's breaking me out! I didn't even think about checking the ingredient list, and it has an ingredient that I'm allergic to. I am so disappointed! Guess I'll have to see if the Bobbi Brown foundation would work.
Great video. Thanks! I have discovered the Estée Lauder Perfectionist Youth Infusing Serum. It’s so natural looking and wears great on me. Now I am 58 and lucky enough to have nice skin so far - some dryness but mostly normal and a few lines here and there but every time I put it on I am shocked at how nicely it goes on and how very natural and light it is - it is buildable too. I went in to buy the Double Wear but the sales person insisted I try this first and I am glad I did!
Mine is Pat McGrath Skin Fetish. No fragrance is a big plus for me these days. I'm not allergic but I'd rather not set myself up for problems down the road!
Megan Burbage I find that so baffling that ppl are so torn! A lot of ppl were triggered about the price, but then don’t complain about Tom Ford or La Mer looool. I think if you have good skin and you’re not looking to hide but enhance then you’ll love Pat ☺️
I tried all these foundations except IT cosmentics’ one. But I can tell that there is no better skin-like foundation for mature combination skin then Zelens age control foundation. Strongly recomend
@@StephanieMarie I wish you could buy samples online. I've made so many expensive mistakes buying the wrong shade. In the UK, you can't return a foundation if you have tried it. You would think, especially during COVID that makeup companies would consider this when you can't get a sample in a store.
I am 58 yo and still have oily/combo skin. But the aging factor makes finding a good foundation so hard. I adore the Dior backstage. And on your recommendation got the new Bobbi Brown foundation and also love that! Thank you for your great reviews. I usually like everything you like! I live in Florida so I have the same heat and humidity challenges you have. I lived in New Orleans as a child and can attest to it being the hottest most humid place on the planet especially during hurricane season. So friends, Ms. Stephanie is the ultimate foundation wear tester!
It says a LOT that a Florida girl is agreeing that Nola is the hottest, most humid place on the planet! 😂😂🔥It's so hard to try to explain it to people! I'm so glad you enjoy the Dior as well! Thank you Terri!💗
I was wondering about that Bobbi Brown foundation.... well.. I'll have to put it on my list. I just ordered the Charlotte Tilbury light wonder to see if it's a good summer foundation. I'm into the glow lately! Happy Sunday!
The Bobbi Brown foundation is amazing! I just got it from Sephora and tried it for the first time today. It is beautiful! I blended with my fingers. I’m oily in my t-zone as well but it wore beautifully all day long.
How did you get your shade match in the Bobbi Brown? . I've been wearing powder foundation secured with setting spray and I have not had one single bit of transfer onto masks, since I started this regimen. It is just great compared to the liquid foundations, the tinted sunscreens which I also wore, and the way they transfered. Powder foundation plus really good setting spray? NO TRANSFER AT ALL EVEN ON WHITE MASKS!! And I have used healthy dose of powder, at times, several layers in different colors to make my skin look natural.. I don't need anything but a little blush with it since I use it also in a tan color for my bronzer..
For years i use Chanel Lumiere Velvet for my mature oily skin. I'm wondering...have you ever tried this one? But now i would like to try the one from It Cosmetics or the one from Bobby Brown.
Hi Stephanie! I have just started watching your videos and I have learned so much from you. And that's saying alot, I'm 59! So thank you...you are a blessing! 🦋
Theses foundations are right up my alley - thank you! I also love the Pur Hydrafluid Water Serum Foundation (all time fave -sadly discontinued! Wish they'd bring it back) and Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua.
Great video thanks Stephanie. 45 yr old from Australia here. Have been subscribed for quite a while and really enjoy content... and your sweet little pup 💓
I am always suspicious of the claim that a foundation is good for all skin types. Maybe on application that claim might appear to be accurate, but the long term wear need of oily and dry skins are so different that it’s hard to believe how it could be true. My skin is so dry I can’t even imagine what it means for foundation to slide off one’s face. My foundations get mostly absorbed fairly soon. Anyway, I like skin-like foundations and enjoyed hearing your thoughts about these products.
Thanks Stephanie! I also LOVE the Dior face and body. Will you review the Lorac pro soft focus longwear foundation? I've heard great things. Thank you!!
Thank you for doing this video! Great job! Can you please also do a skin-like video for drugstore/Target/Walmart brands? There are a lot of us on a budget, who would appreciate this. Also, many department stores are still closed during Covid 19. This would really help people who are out of their current products and need to replace - during this situation. Here are some of the brands that I feel would be great to compare Revlon Loreal Maybelline - Fit (Oily and Dry Formula) Covergirl Physicians Formula Rimmel Milani Boots #7 I'd appreciate your opinions! I know your fans will appreciate this too!
I’d love to and have tried many drugstore foundations. I have many in my top foundations videos (playlist is linked in the description box). While many look natural and beautiful, I haven’t found any that truly look like skin...like I’m not wearing makeup. I do have some in my cc/bb/tinted moisturizer and natural everyday videos in that playlist though! I’ll be sure to announce when I find one that does!
I wear the EL Futurist Hydramist foundation and really like it but am always open for the recommendation of another lightweight foundation. I have dry, mature skin that chemotherapy has had it’s way with so I have much to overcome. Thank you for such a comprehensive review of these foundations, Stephanie!
I have almost all of these except for the La Mer, at 58 I am going for more skin like foundations and I also have oily skin, most of your shades work on me too. Love your reviews and recommendations! Might have to finally get the La Mer.
It's a great CC cream that I just mentioned in my top Tinted Moisturizer/BB/CC cream video I mentioned and have linked here. It's a very natural looking CC cream when applied with a light hand. 😘
I've loved the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Lines since I watched your last skin like foundations video! I've found that the Maybellline Dream Radiant liquid foundation is very similar on my skin.
Lori Ann, do you mean Maybelline Dream Urban coverage? Because I don't know which one you mean though I don't know much about Maybelline , I'm curious. I do know that Maybelline Dream Urban cover has a lot of alcohol in it. I'm sorry to hear that the Dior face and body has alcohol in it, so guess I will stick to Mac face and body which is one of my personal favorites. I have normal to dry skin so don't like alcohol in anything.
Great video! I absolutely love the detail you go into about the products. I’ve bought several of these necklaces, I didn’t realize you had a code, I’ll just have to order more now!!
Hi Stephanie! I really enjoyed this video as I too truly love a natural foundation. I just bought Estee's Futurist Hydra rescue foundation and I'm loving it!!! I have combination skin. I love that it has everything in it. I don't want to put layers of product on my face. I had been wearing IT cosmetics CC cream but it is so yellow on me. An Estee makeup artist tested my shade and I'm neutral toned. Everyone should have a skin tone/shade test done as it really can make a difference!
I would love to see you review the dermablend foundation (the one that comes in the drops specifically). I just feel like no one really talks about their foundations or concealers.
Yes I would love to see Stephanie Marie review that. (Dermablend flawless drops) It's supposed to be so full coverage which I don't like, (prefer sheer coverage) but something about a product like that is kind of fascinating to me. I've read a lot of reviews on Amazon by the women who use it have a lot of good hints about how to apply it & how to use it.
Hi! Try getting the Haley's beauty BB drops. They are the most skin like foundation I have ever come across. I also love all of the foundations you listed except I didn't try the Bobby brown foundation. I have to try it. I'm 39 and I have fine lines so I can't get away with full coverage like these young girls with flawless skin... Lol... New subscriber !
Stephanie, I told you the wrong shade of what I bought in the Nyx Bare with Me. My skin is light medium neutral and I bought True Beige Buff...I love it.
Yes to beautiful women over 40 💝🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I always have a hard time with foundation not only for my 43 year young fine lines...but dry cheeks, larger nose pores, and oily Tzone.... this was a helpful video thank you! And the details you include such as fragrance 👍 so HAPPY I found your channel on ...#samsquad (Sam March) channel ♡
I haven't tried the Lamer, but I love BB skin long wear weightless and Dior foundations. I also still use MAC Face and Body and Prolongwear Waterproof and Studio Fix. I think I will use the MAC foundations all my life. If you mix them you can find your perfect combination (full coverage, skin like or even dewy). 😁 💜
Oh my God, I might try It, so many skincare properties in it! And just use concealer or powder foundation on top... I'm going to need that Bobbie brown as a primer!
I just came from your La Mer Review and I’m so pleased to see that years later you still love the foundation!!! It’s my favourite foundation (well, that and the Pat McGrath one 😂) xx
Stephanie you are so pretty . You have amazing skin. Thank you for sharing your opinions with us . I am 58 and still consider myself younger looking. I appreciate these skin like recommendations. I bought the Dior based on what you said. . I am always looking for better products. Thank you . I enjoy your channel .
@Stephanie Marie. I just received the new Bobbi Brown foundation based on your recommendation...tried it on today and I must say I really do like how my skin looks!!! Thanks for another great recommendation!!!
I like a natural look in my makeup and prefer a foundation that looks like skin and not makeup. My all time favorite is Prescriptives Virtual Skin. I have gotten tons of compliments on my great skin while wearing this. I also have good luck with Tarte Foundcealer applied with the It cosnetics no 6 buffing brush.
Wow!! U look great for 44!! I'm 46 and feel like I look like a hag! No matter what I use..always highly visible creases under eyes when I use concealer!! And I ha e both dark circles and bags so I feel like it just ends up amplified!
I love! Love having dry-normal skin L’Oréal True Match Lumi foundation. It blends so well and looks so natural. Getting ready with my daughter for a wedding I had applied it and my daughter looked at it close and says it was unnoticeable! And she loves the high end and wears Diors! Yes that good! I west the C3 Cool or N1-2 Neutral (I is a but liter than the Cool actually) shades I’m very pale. It is not like wearing highliters or too much glow it’s just a real nice natural look. I like Maybelline Fit Me 110 porcelain is also very natural. But the L’Oréal is just perfect on my skin.
I appreciate your thorough review Stephanie. Foundations are one of my top makeup items and I like different types & brands. Your makeup and skin looks beautiful. The Dior and the Bobbi Brown looks really nice. First on my list to try is the Ilia tint; it looks beautiful on camera and also looks like skin. Thank you for sharing your top choices. 😘
I miss Urban Decay Naked. They discontinued a brilliant product that worked for about any skin type. My skin (and climate) is drier than yours (still can break out) but I love Bobbi Brown Serum foundation. I’ve said it before but it covers, doesn’t look heavy at all, isn’t greasy (on me, barely need to set) and it lasts.
I loved that UD foundation as well. I had hoped the new Stay Naked foundation would be the same thing, just renamed, but sadly it is not. My other favourite foundation was the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light, which they claimed to have just changed the packaging and improved the formula, but it's an entirely different product now. Not sure why companies mess with a good thing! I did find the Dior Face and Body foundation to be similar to the UD Naked, if you have been on the hunt for something similar.
I have dry skin and I did not like hydra futurist at all! I was so sad because I’ve heard such great reviews for this one, but it didn’t work for me whatsoever.
Great video Stephanie:) I have the Stila Hide & Chic foundation and it’s one of my new favs - I absolutely love it! I have never heard anyone talk about the IT Bye Bye Lines - looks beautiful:) I love the IT CC cream. I’ve also heard great things about the IT concealer. Have a beautiful and safe week! Tammy Roy🇨🇦
I would love to hear your method for blotting/touching up during the day. I have not mastered this skill without lifting the coverage across my nose which requires me to carry the bottle of foundation with me on long days.
I am new & 47 with cluelessness and tons of products! Wrinkles I want to de emphasize- Edward Bess has a nice foundation that has been kind to my sensitive skin-
New subscriber and loving the channel! Might have to try, based on your recommendations, either the Dior backstage or the Sephora matte tinted moisturizer. Both sound right up my alley. Currently using the elf beautifully bare foundation, very light and natural but shades aren't great.
Thanks Stephanie! Love these videos! Would you be able to do one of these videos for drugstore options if possible? For those of us who are on a strict budget (especially these days) and cannot afford to spend alot on foundations. Also, how about one for skin like powders??
Hi Kerry! Unfortunately, I haven't found a drugstore foundation that truly mimics skin. While many look natural, none have looked like skin. I do have some included in my recent tinted moisturizer/BB/CC cream video I have listed and linked. Once I find a drugstore foundation that truly looks like skin and not just natural, I'll for sure share it. :)
GREAT review. Compelled to share your content on FB (you're my first share)...thank you! Also, LOVING the Amorepacific Vintage Essence (purchased on your review).
Hi Stephanie! I was just wondering if you have ever heard of (or tried) Maskcara Beauty makeup. A lot of people with mature skin really like it, so I thought I would ask you about it. 😊
I really like your videos, you do a great job, great content! I’ve been using the Bobbi Brown foundation, the liquid to powder you showed in this video and I love it! I ordered the Chanel Les Beiges water tent (after watching your last video, I can’t wait for it to arrive lol) So just wanted to say thank you 😊
Enjoy your videos very much!!! Always informative... does Estee Lauder shades match in the different foundation formulas? I wear Ivory Beige in the discontinued Doublewear Water formula... wondering if I order the Futurist foundation, will it be the same shade as in the water wear. It's a perfect match. I am more tempted to try the Dior foundation now that I watched until the end!
I don't buy IT COSMETICS because I find their shade selection inexcusably limited. Stephanie I bought the BB fluid powder foundation and found it too sheer. I feel like it is not meant to be built up. I can't seem to make it work. Any suggestions? I actually was more impressed with KOSAS face oil foundation (more coverage). I would love to see you review it. I think you'll enjoy it.
Hi Jackie! It should be listed in the description box below the video. This is an older video, so I don’t recall offhand but list products there for all my videos :)
The Dior and I just don’t get along. I want us to work but we just don’t. I really want to try that Bobbi Brown but I just need to get through the foundations I have before I try new. Thank you for the video and the Luke sighting. 🙂🥰
Amber R I tried so hard to make the Dior work for me, as well. It gave me the tiny spots as it settled into my pores. I don’t use a primer besides sunscreen, so that may make a difference, but I didn’t want to add a product to my routine.
Heather Elzinga I tried Dior with and without primer. I tried different primers-drugstore, high end, mattifying. End results were all the same. I looked super shiny just a few hours in. By midday I had really bad makeup sliding and the settling into my pores was so bad I looked polka dot-ish on chin. Tons of people love this foundation but it just goes to show no product is able to work for everybody. Hope you find one in her recommendations that works for you! I’m going to try the Bobbi Brown next! Sounds perfect for summer.
Another good video🤹🏻♀️, Thank you..🌴 I think I see a theme here even in some of your other videos, that you often seem to like, or do well well with the thinner, almost runny fomulas. I am mostly the same way because I feel those feel best on skin and also they look more natural, but often they seem to cost more too, except the Sephora skin tint one, not sure if I got that name right, but I think you know which one I mean since I saw it in one of your videos.
Stephanie Marie I’m excited for your Reboot review! And yeah, what is up with Stellar? I ordered a couple bottles while it was still in stock (and cheap!) at Sephora.
Happy Sunday Stephanie! I hope you and your family is well. What do think about Dior forever matte foundation? My skin is basically the same type as your skin. I haven’t tried the Dior that you had in this video either. Thank you for the video
Hi miss Stephanie...I like coverage but looking into thinner foundations. I clicked on this super fast! The issue is I want the lasting power. Looking at foundation drops as well.
Eek! It looks like maybe the Stila and IT Cosmetics ones are being discontinued?? Hide&Chic isn't at Sephora anymore and is on sale at ULTA and Bye Bye Lines is on last chance on the IT Cosmetics page (but still available at ULTA). ❤
Between both links I have in the description, all shades of It BBL are available now. And you can still get the Stila one as well. It's only that price at Ulta online and is full price on the Stila site. 👍🏼
Y did dior had to add linolool and lemonene fragrances to it??thank u for mentioning about the fragrance i checked ingredients after that and they give me dermatitis.im so so sad that i cannot try it. It looked lovely on u..❤️
I love a skin like foundation. I own (and enjoy ) the BB Skin Long Wear Weightless foundation. You've really peaked my curiosity about the BB Powder foundation. I am curious about the LA MER, but the price tag is hard to justify. Stephanie have you used the Dior Airspray foundation? You might like the CHANEL les beige foundation (not long wearing, but skin like).
