@@SimoneBellomonte This is an old ass comment, but I thought it'd be funny to add on, the studio that animated Mushoku Tensei also animated a show called Onimai, and that show has Strive gameplay lol
My favorite part about Ultra Fight Da Kyanta 2 is that there is no Ultra Fight Da Kyanta 1, they just slapped a two on it for no fuckin reason and it makes the game just that bit funnier
So Kinoko is literally just "Mushroom" in Japanese and the Kanji looks like this -> 茸. That's why it picks up mushrooms and just straight up is a mushroom.
Harama really feels like the type of guy to be a trio with the maker of Chainsaw man and Takashi aka the guy who screamed SEEEEEEEEEEEGS while almost running faster than a car
@@darkprince2417 she has a move where she plants a mushroom, the more you hold it the bigger the mushroom becomes and iirc u get to pick it up as an item and throw it, now apparently if you have a mushroom you can unlock the mushroom cancel because you can cancel any animation by picking the mushroom BUT it consumes the mushroom. But wait, theres more! Mushroom Land Cancel bypasses this, if you time it JUST enough you can do j.B into j.X (pick it up) and you can cancel any move (except supers) without sacrificing the mushroom leading to some nutty combos and pressure
Thank you for spreading the word on this brilliant fighting game. I may not be the best at it, hell i barely play the game at all, but the kindness from the community is second to none. Again, thank you
it took me a bit to realize who Freud was again and after awhile i was like "OH, isn't that guy sexist?" basically, for @fishpickles or anyone wanting to know, Freud made some theories relating to the subconscious actions of the human mind. how's that exactly bad? you ask as those kinds of thinking technically revolutionized the world of psychology. the guy's theories are said to be outdated due to the little evidence to back up on his claims, not to mention how his psychosexual theory ends up focusing more on males and little light on females (which led to my comment on him being sexist lol) other than those i have no other info so anyone else interested in more, ya gotta research 😔
All the jokes aside, there's really something inspirational about the sheer unbridled, genuine creativity that many japanese creators like Harama Self have. I almost feel bad even using the word "creator" in that sentence because of how loaded it's become in the anglosphere. Maybe we should really just abandon all this influencer bullshit and return to being small internet gremlins posting the weird, wacky and wonderful shit we come up with to hand-written websites.
Hey there Mr. RAD CHAD I just wanted to say how much I’ve been LOVING your longer rant/in depth thoughts on topics they have been my absolute favorite videos of yours and makes your jokes and overall style of narrating/just making content in general really stand out! I just wanted to say keep up the great work! Also this game is amazing
I fucking love this game! You've earned a subscription from me! Also to clarify, Kyanta 1 is a top down fighting game with like 2-3 moves per character and its not horribly important to know about.
One of my friends has mycophobia (a.k.a he is extremely disgusted by mushrooms) and it has kinda become a running gag in our friend group, so this video is just so much funnier than it would be otherwise
If there was a first part, it would probably just be named Kyanta. The game isn't named "Ultra fight da Kyanta 2", it's "Ultra fight da! Kyanta 2" So the game is probably just Kyanta 2 and the appendage is just a subtitle calling the game Kyanta 2 the ultimate fight.
As somebody who absolutely adores fighting games, seeing this game was an absolute TRIP for me. I've subscribed to you and Harama Self after seeing this video, and I immediately started listening to his music straight afterward. Great stuff. Hope you continue making videos like these!!
i had no idea rockfall and kinoko are from his first game thats amazing i love that he references his own creations it really shows that he loves making them
I remember buying this for me and my brother a year ago and to this day I thought it was a fever dream. Rad Chad, thank you (fuck you) for reminding me (triggering war flashbacks) of this masterpiece (nightmare aneurysm)
9:30 The pure energy and power that exudes from this image is overwhelming to speak in more detail is not possible as the feelings from seeing this image are to complicated for me to express
@@jarodworth1082 AHHHH OH GOD Anyways while I have you here, I've been looking for Strive players that just wanna meme around and not worry about competitive stuff. That you?
"who ever heard of this fighting game before?" ALLLLLRIGHTY then chat room... Also, its called ultra fight da kyanta 2 probably because the game was made to resemble Super Street fighter 2
Using Yakuza 0's Hostess Club theme earned the sub almost as much as the fact you made me enjoy a vid about a completely new, free fighting game with very little surface appeal visually ngl. Sick vid, looking forward to watching more
Ah the passion in this Video rly shines through, Hope IT has been a resounding success for your Channels Standard or If Not at least for yourself. Good Job Rad Chad.
Started playing. Messed around a bit with a few characters. Went through arcade mode pretty easy using a team of characters I thought might be fun. Until I got to Gyanta. Honestly, might be my favorite final boss in a fighting game, super freaking hard but each time you do a bit better until suddenly notice you almost won, a few tries later and you actually do it. Whole thing probably took 30 minutes? (Not sure how the timer works). Then I tried again with Kinoko. Barely even had to try against most enemies. Gyanta beat me once, but the 2nd time he could not escape. Everyone was Kinoko in 15 minutes. (Probably could've done it faster, but I kept beating enemies by jumping on their heads, trying to get a "1up" [eventually succeeded in doing so against Masao])
I play Kyanta 2. I've known about this game for at least a year, it's great and I wish more people played this online. I'm gonna go to the wiki and actually look up all the advanced tech now
Nice! I quite like Da! Kyanta 2 but viewed it as sort of a black box from another dimension. Awesome of you to do that deep dive. Edit: Oh cool, he adapted Kinoko's iconic Super from the very first game he made.
I was discussing the topic of strange yet unique videogames and remembered this video, which I showed to the boys. Now I am the coolest kid on campus, even cooler than Johnny Hitler. Thank you Rad Chad.
To add on some stuff...as someone who played too much kinoko in a serious manner on why she is mid/high tier and not bad. It's not just the yolo grab in fact I think there is an argument to play super type with her in many matchups and I used to only play that type for a while with good results. But basically the meter build from mushroom is wayyyy too strong, and between that and EX eat you can just flail at your opponent for trades favorably, while stacking up meter for your final character, making her a very strong #2 slot character in a 3 man roster. But she does have some okay buttons 5[B] held is a very good anti air if you know your opponent is going to jump it's a bit of a read but there are almost no downsides to just going for it even if they don't jump because it just launches you up and now you can abuse j.A and float unfloat, mixed up with air down parries to threaten players from going for a dp. She also has above average anti air damage even midscreen meterless she can stack j.As to melt people off a missed dp without resources, with a KC this can stack up to fairly solid damage and 2 whiffed dps even mid screen she can kill off fairly easily. Ohh and EX throw mushroom is actually eat mushroom which heals you and is invuln so you can use this for a dirty approach into throw/super throw...while also healing. and while she doesn't have like a good reversal without holding a mushroom per say ex dig is fully invuln on startup and can't really be baited, you can mixup doing EX pop out which is safe but opponents can OS a a parry/block to not die, or you just just nothing and throw. Overall she is a fairly strong character with a few frusterating matchups that mostly have good space control and a strong meterless dp. Masked Michelle stands out as particularly rough, but for most "bad matchups" you can instead just focus on being a pure battery and yolo parries in order to score some damage while stacking up for your final character that you can just dump bar with.
I was so glad to hear "this probably wont do well" because I hadn't heard of Harama Self, I'm on the fringe of fighting games and I dont even know this channel but I still got recommend it. This video must be doing great.
I was watching this thinking “hmmm I wonder if any of these characters play even remotely like Faust” and then I got to 15:11 and was pleasantly surprised
