Today I'd like to introduce a free Landing Rating tool available for multiple simulators including Microsoft Flight Simulator which I've only just recently learnt about thanks to a member of this fantastic channel's community!
It's called the Landing Rate Monitor (LRM) and is part of FSHub. In this video, I'll discuss both and also introduce our new community airline - Osprey Airways - which now also works on FSHub too... better still, you can join for FREE as a Pilot too!
What is LRM?
It's freeware! It's a simple program which requires FSUIPC7 and monitors your flight progress and parameters between takeoff and landing. Upon touchdown, it'll tell you (providing you have it ticked in the settings tab!) your touchdown rating displayed directly on the screen as a software tooltip!
FSHub records all of your LRM activity for free too on their website, and you can join virtual airlines and more within it.
How do you get the tooltips to display? Once you've installed it all properly, head to Microsoft Flight Simulator's Options page inside the sim, click Assistance Menu then Notifications - you want to make sure the Software Tooltips icon is ON.
Another tip is the EFB type screen named the 'AeroPad' shown during the video too - you can actually open it up via a tablet or phone too and run it on a second device which is a really cool feature!
Hope you enjoy it - all the links are below, share your thoughts in the comments section and be sure to click both Like, and if you're landing here for the first time then I'd love it if you chose to subscribe too! Thanks for watching
