@@thecreepysilence4290 Agree half with your statement ... Both ways are exciting... I recently bought a pianica...The acoustic sound haunted me much than all my VSTs put together...😂😀😁 . Jokes apart...Am enjoying both hardware music as well as software music...
@@SanjayC I've downloaded so many of the free plugins you've suggested..only problem is I think I've got too many and get lost. I'm sure you've suggested a plug in with chord progression but I can't remember which? Would you be able to tell me one? I've very amateur at all this so a chord progression tool would help me massively. Love your videos by the way. X
here's my top five favorite free plugins (free being that they are entirely free or have a free version with no time restriction, but with minor feature restrictions), in no particular order 1. Panagement by Auburn Sounds 2. Vital by Matt Tytel (personally my favorite synth) 3. All the plugins by Airwindows 4. Tape Cassette 2 by Caelum Audio 5. Odin 2 by TheWaveWarden

Komplete Start is still a Must Have for freebies hunter in 2023 , lots of usable sample and instrument presets you can use for a simple project, and Vital Synth is a great free synth for anyone who is still learning how to use synthesizer, The visual and workflow are so easy to understand Thanks ✌️
My Favorite Free plugin has to be the TAL Chorus - Use it all the Time And all of course all the TDR Stuff TDR Nova - Greatttt free Dynamic EQ TDR Mollotok - Very nice sounding Compressor TDR Kotelnikov - Great Mastering compressor, really one of a kind
Favorite free plugin got to be either: chow tape model, which is a very ajustable tape emulation, that has the ability to sound like multiple different tape effects. Or LABS, which i think everyone who makes music should look into, even those with a bigger budget. Others i swear to are Vital (basically Serum for free) Deelay (your stock deeley but with improvements such as ducking, reverb, and experimental effects.
Sorry Sanjay. I have so many favorites that I can't mention only one. Emergence - Granulator effect. Kilohearts Essentials - Creative Effects Bundle ErosionTT - Ableton Erosion emulator OTT - Multiband Compressor Therapy - Experimental Granulator/multi-effect Vital - Hybrid Synthersizer.
Some of my favorites. Pianos: Claustrophobic by Pianobook and Soft Piano from labs are my most used pianos and they’re free. I own everything from Keyscape to Ivory but those free ones fit into mix better than most. Another sleeper piano is to get the “Meris Pedal” library from piano book and load at the same time as soft piano. It's a really cool idea where they sampled just the wet pedal of the meris pedals so that when it's played with soft piano plugin, it sounds like you're running through pedal. Delay: Vari Speed. Sounds more like hardware than most of my paid delays. Arturias MS20 filter and their emt140 reverb was free but might not be anymore. Reverb: Raum was free my bative instruments but it also might have been temporary ether way, it's worth buying. One of the best creative reverbs and sounds musical for all instruments.
Thank you for this great list! I'm just collecting plugins for the first go at playing with music making. Don't think I'm complaining, but I really wish you slowed down and gave more sound examples to get a feel for what each plugin does. This is alot to fly through in this short time.
You'll usually find a longer review on the maker's website, if not, there's very likely to be one on RU-vid already. Personally, I get the most out of the descriptions/instructions on the websites.
One of the best free effects that I found is the BritPre from Analog Obsession. It has a very warm low-end and I really recommend it. Also, I knew most of this list, I have a 'hoard' folder for plugins 😂 I'll add some more tho after this video.
The free Melda Audio Production stuff is great. Especially their version of auto tune. Don’t get put off by the slightly complicated interfaces, once you learn one, they are basically the same across their line.
I had loved their Piano. It sounds really better than few paid Piano plugins. But its true that the interface is very boring and not at all likeable. Well...anyways. Thanks from Pune city, India
thanks for these insane tips! i use these all the time too: Tripple Cheese (u-he) AmpliTube 5 CS (ikmultimedia) Little Radiator (Soundtoys) Fresh Air (Slate Digital) Guitar Rig 6 (Izotope) khs free effects (kilohearts) KSHMR Essentails Kick (WA) Whole Free Melda FX Bundle (Melda Productions) Saturation Knob (Softube) Tal-Filter-2 (TAL Software) Loudness Meter (Youlean)
8:14 My favorite free plugins are the KiloHearts (kHs) Essentials, hands down. I actually originally paid $600 for them, but at some point kHs just decided to make them free. Still, they really do feel like a $600 value. From basic things like filters and distortion to more exotic effects like resonators, ring modulation, and most recently dual delay, this plugin bundle has it all. In particular, for the kind of music I make, kHs Ensemble is an absolute godsend.
My fav free plugin is Spitfire Labs for sure! It's just too good~ Vital is up there too 🙌🙌 I make lofi so pair it with Cymatics Origin and I'm set~ DAW stock plugin is very usable too.
my all time favorite free synth plug in of all time has got to be, Arminator 2 by Krakli software, if you like Vangelis and the sound of the Yamaha CS-80 this is the free synth you want
@@SanjayC Of course, I let you know ... Instruments: Modo Bass 2 CS IOTA MINI because of the presets Crystal Harp Zebralette I had Synthmaster Player, but had only troubles with it, so I deleted everything again. Effects: Apogee Bassline I have Pitch Drift by Baby Audio already I have the latest version of Supermassive by Valhalla
I am so glad you made this video because I'm getting a new laptop and I really don't want to put a bunch of stuff I'm not going to use on it. It will be nice to have an updated list of freebies to pick from that I know will be good. Thank you so much!
U-he Zebralette and Synthmaster Player Are great sounding instruments. I bought Synthmaster and Zebra both on the strengths of the free versions, but I like the simplicity of the free versions for starting a tune. Sometimes more is just more confusing...
Hello! Love your channel! Thank you for the energy you put out! Just wanted to let you know some of the hyperlinks for your own gear no longer work. Just an fyi. Happy New Year!
Thank you so much for sharing the free plugins, i bought the m32 yesterday and checking so many plugins for kontakt made me so happy Today Love from INDIA 🇮🇳🪷
Labs is one of my absolute favorite Plug ins. The BBC Orchestra is soo Good. Also the meldaProductions are very good. Especially the Waveshaper, just love the distortion
I like your channel, especially the honest hardware reviews. I was curious what you thought of a comparison between the focusrite "air" effect, the UA Volt vintage/76 compressor and the steinberg neve transformers.
