I like that these tips are not the usual ones about paying attention to the senses. They are very practical and varied. I enjoyed the “real time” meal and this style of video. Don’t be shy to do a series on this where you eat different meals! -we all need the reminder 😉. This was extremely helpful.
You’re my favorite social media dietician/ nutritionist ❤ I’m learning so much from you Lucie and I healed my relationship with food after years and years of struggling and dieting.. thank you so much !
Exactly how i feel !! Sometimes eating while studying can help slow me down (take a bit then chew it while studying) and leave your utensils while chewing. But you also need to understand that it's absolutely fine to leave a little bit of time just for eating.. Think of how much you want to improve your Relationship with food and that needs effort and Time. You Got this!!
I realize that part of my eating too fast is liking hot food to be hot! Courses help and also remembering I can heat things up if needed. Thanks to you, I am taking my time, putting the utensils down each bite, and not feeling compelled to clean my plate!
Whenever I watch her videos, I recieve so much unique information about nutrition and healthy lifestyle. It was never easy for me, to live healthy lifestyle, but a big thanks to her, i am gradually changing myself and moving towards a healthy lifestyle. Keep up the good work Lucie God bless you😃
some months ago, i started putting my phone away and stopping the music i'm listening to when i sit down to eat, and it's honestly one of the best habits i've developed. now, i enjoy my food more + my attention span has increased.
I really like your channel, and I am even good with vegetarian, but just honestly speaking, have you read the whole ingredient list in beyond meat? It is appalling. But please keep the content coming ❤
This was incredibly motivating I love your tips very similar to what I have integrated in my style of eating but I like how you mention to pay attention to the first bites and last ones. Very important. Love to see more meal time videos like these with simple tips. Question: what if the last couple bites are even better than the first bite? Sounds like a silly or tricky question but that happens to me regardless of my hunger level sometimes. Thanks.
Thanks. ❤ Getting your tips while eating and hearing and seeing how you do was very inspiring. Especially what you said about the first and last bite and how you taste the food with the first bite to see if anything more is needed.
I really enjoyed this video. I have already incorporated some of these ideas and they are so helpful. I have shared many of your ideas at the dinner table and everyone has started practicing them. We have even stepped up improving our table manners and we love using them to the fullest when we go out. We have started noticing more if others have proper etiquette. No judgment though. It's something fun we do.
This is a really wonderful video Lucie! All the advice you share is so valuable, helpful and appreciated! I really notice a difference when I eat my meals slowly and mindfully, I always feel so physically nourished and emotionally satisfied afterward. I’m going to watch this video again next time I have a meal! I have pre-ordered your cook book and I’m so excited for it to be released. I am vegan but I thought that because you’re vegetarian then you will have included many vegetarian recipes that I can adjust to my own personal preferences. Once again, thank you for sharing positivity, and helpful, intuitive advice! I will always be grateful. 💜💜
That's so awesome to hear Lorien, thank you!! And thanks for buying the cookbook, I'm sure the vegetarian options will be easy to adapt, and there are vegan meals as well ❤
I used to have difficulty listening to my hunger dial and had a tendency to eat more than needed for satisfaction. I quit drinking alcohol and I'm now able to eat more mindfully and often save leftovers for lunch the next day.
Thank you Lucie and very brave of you to eat spaghetti while wearing a white top and no napkin! Try winding the spaghetti completely around the fork while resting it on the spoon, until there are no loose strands at all. The issue I have with the way you've eaten is that surely the spaghetti were lukewarm instead of hot by the time you finished the starter and took so many breaks. I am a fast eater, which I'm working on (and the reason why I eat alone!). But one of the things I really dislike is eating food that is not piping hot. For example, I'm Italian and risotto is supposed to be eaten very hot, not 5-10 minutes later, which is what it would take you to start eating it. Same with cold foods, e.g. an ice-cream dessert, if you ate that slowly it would have half melted by the time you ate half of it. With hot foods I often heat the plate in the microwave. Other than that I'd rather eat a bit fast but at least the food is hot. It's the same with hot drinks, some people drink coffees, etc. so slowly that they're practically cold. I like to drink hot drinks while they're piping hot, I find it comforting. Thank you for reminding us that it's a good idea to start a meal with vegetables (salad, tomatoes, in my case, always oil-free) and if you're thirsty, a glass of water. Also, you don't need to clean your plate.
I’ve noticed that you don’t often do salads as a meal, except as a starter. Is this personal preference, a French thing, or just because we only see a small amount of your meals? Je suis curieuse!
