The Hien coarseness is massively overstated by people. When I first used it, I noticed it was a little rougher than other mousepads, but it didn’t hurt or anything. I don’t even notice it anymore now. Great mousepad.
Glad to see Boardzy do a full 360 actually praising the Artisan pads after the whole Artisan killer saga, speaks to the level of which they have taken pads years ago.
I must say that I am thoroughly disappointed with the Bugha ''exclusive LED'' mousepad not being on this list, it even has exclusive in the name. Unsubscribed.
My go to is the MPC450+superglides... the cordura fixes the issues with the superglides being inconsistent. It also is water resistant and easy to clean
I have a red 500×500 saturn pro, im in love with this pad, sadly i had to pay a total of 140 euros for it cause of shipping and another costly bullpoop we have here in italy. It wasn't the most worthwhile pad for the price i paid, but i saw massive improvements in my gameplay and i got to ascendant 1 in valorant while using it, so for the base price of around 50 euros for this pad is a must at my opinion
@@gdjoskeee2276 still doing great, spilled drink over half of it and got tainted, but still performing, i'll update when i wash it to see if it keeps it's overall performance, also im still in love with the pad
I didnt realize, but I've also owned my Hien for over 2 years now (bought in Oct 2020). I've tried to make sure I took good care of it cuz ain't never paid so much for a mouse pad. But it still holds and is still good.
I have MPC890 STEALTH EDITION, bought it from a while back when you made mousepad tier list i think i bought it, its more than a year old now. Its holding very amazing, when I wash it or clean its like new, best mousepad, maybe its not the best in terms of glide or etc but longevity is fuckin amazing Cordura is good
I use the Dream Machines DM Pad XXL for gaming and work, and I can say that it is very comfortable and has a large area that allows me to move my mouse without restriction.
With the DreamPad XL, sliding around is like sledding on a mountain top! I just spin around in my favorite games! I recommend the DreamPad by Dream machines
hsk/skypad combo is goated, nothing holding you back and shows you how good of a aim you actually have ive been rotating pads and mice every month or so but ever since i got my skypad ive been stuck on it for over a year now and only upgraded to 3.0 from 2.0, truly endgame
What is your opinon on the Artisan Hien Mid, Vs the Soft? I find the mid to be incredibly fast but I was able to adjust after a break in period. Im curious if the soft or X-soft would be a better choice? Thanks for the great content
Any thoughts on the Razer Strider update? People say it's been brought more in-line to the feeling of a smoother Artisan Hien with some kind of revision to its weave.
Razer Strider is like gaming on sand paper. Super durable, easy to maintain & crazy fast glide but got rid of mine due to scratchiness feeling it gives to both mouse skates(not noticeable on glass skates though) and skin.
Great video thanks man super new to Mnk . I’m switchin to Mnk from controller so got a lot to learn and figure out . Right now I got a giant Razer mouse pad for my first mouse pad with the death adder V2 mouse . The death adder is nice for a starter but I think I can find something that fits my smaller hands better when I do upgrade
Should I pre-order the Xsoft or Soft of their new batch of the Saturn Pro? Or get the Venus Pro? Mainly for Fortnite and other tracking games like Apex Legends and Warzone. I would like a control along with speed and didn't try Xsoft or soft before, and right now I'm using the QCK Heavy so I'm not sure which one to pick.
Aldi sold a mouse pad last week and from what i sounds like the surface is exactly like the raiden. Very smooth, pretty much no static friction and really fast. The weave is very fine and looks similar to the weave of generic cloth pads but the surface material is 100% polyester so unlike cloth pads its very fast. Honestly I'm loving the surface and I'm gonna main the pad. The pad was only 2,99€ and it's 40x89cm so you could cut it in half for two 40x44cm pads for 1,50€ each but i prefer 50cm width so i'll probably leave it in one piece and roll the sides up.
Hey boardzy, could you maybe do a DESK SIZE mouse pad roundup? like the tier list, but for only truly huge desk-/mousepads? I found it really hard to find anything of quality besides the Endgame MPJ and MPC pads.
boardzy idk if u have said this anywhere else but ive been maining artisan shidenkai for years and i cant buy another one so im stuck between padss like the hayate otsu vancer ice skypad and cerapad kin if you could tell me which you think would be best switching from shidenkai it would mean a lot
I love all of these mousepads, my #1 and 2 are the Saturn pro and skypad 3.0. I couldn’t stick with the Hien due to the roughness on the skin, but I loved the glide and mouse feel

@@DIOPA The Zero Soft is slower but very comfortable to use and is better for Valorant and CS:GO games. The Otsu Mid is faster and better for tracking games as Optimum Tech said and it’s his main mousepad, but it is moving easier on the desk itself. They both don’t stick well to my desk probably due to my IKEA Langkapten desk’s materials which is white birch and not wood. Im thinking of getting the IKEA Idasen because it is made of wood (not full wood but at least it’s wood), and Optimum Tech was using it on his latest setup tour video, but he is using the 160x80 which has square shape. But I’m thinking of getting the 140x70 which has more rounded shape. They are the same model’s name but a bit different shapes on the bezels of the desks themselves. Do you think the 160x80 and 140x70 are the same in terms of materials and stickiness? Here’s the links: 160x80 www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/idasen-desk-brown-beige-s89281030/ 140x70 www.ikea.com/om/en/p/idasen-table-top-brown-20473753/
what makes you prefer the skypad over the cerapad kin? Shouldnt the slower cerapad kin fit your preferences more for precision clicking. Asking cuz im debating between the two and i like to play tracking games but my main game is valorant so any input by anyone is appreciated :) currently on a hayate otsu xsoft
dang man, all of your mice are beautiful looking and love the colors! Same goes for that keyboard in the background at 3:38 I can see it. What type of keyboard is it? Or custom? I have that pink superlight with some gripe tape and some Tiger Ice V2 skates on it (though I took out the sensor circle part so it doesn't spin like crazy anymore nor glide quite as fast, but I couldn't control it on the spinning axis very well with that circle on), along with the Saturn Pro red soft smallest size (still way too big for my keyboard tray). I was actually surprised the Saturn Pro feels pretty much the same as my SteelSeries QCK that I've been using for years now (I have like 4 of them I have bought), it is nothing super special not very soft but not abrasive. I am enjoying it but honestly not as much as I thought I would. For $50 on a mouse pad I assumed it would be like a CRAZY big difference, but it's not that huge. Though it is only my first week using it with the Tiger Ice V2 feet. Maybe I should go back to the Lethal Gaming Gear glass skates I was using.
I only play VALORANT and had a Zero for a year, then I changed to the new Hayate Otsu and I can’t stand the Zero anymore. I feel like if you have good mouse control the Hayate Otsu doesn’t hold you back. Zero sometimes didn’t let me to micro corrections because of the rougher texture.
@@ingrid9433 It’s weird, Otsu has more texture but feels softer and faster. Zero is like a classic Qck you really feel the cloth. I play Cordpad CTRL on my Hayate Otsu and it’s the god combo for me. Zero is way better for flicks but Hayate Otsu just feels like movement freedom to me.
Shidenkai out of production so I just go cordura. People always said it was too fast for tac shooters but I'm loving it. Just gotta use it enough to get used to it from my experience.
Hey Boardzy , i was really looking into buying an artizan mouse pad since ive been seeing your videos. But i am really concerned about one thing specifically. I have a g pro x logitech superlight and i have a VICTISING MOUSE PAD and when i first bought my mouse and mouse pad last year i noticed that 3 weeks in the mouse pad really wore down my mouse skates and im not sure if its because of the mouse pad but i do tend to put a bit of force down on my mouse when i play and i play valorant a lot. so if it is the reason because i have such a cheap mouse pad i was looking into buying the hien but im not sure what artisan mouse pad you recommend that would prevent my skates to wear down since im buying some replacement core pads for my mouse
I’m gonna order a Hien soft and I use a Logitech g pro super light, and I’m wondering what mouse feet I should get to go with it? I currently have stock feet on my mouse still.
I ordered a hien and a zero and the zero is not abrasive like you said the hien is very scratchy and the zero is very nice that would be my #1 recommendation for a mouse pad at the moment
saturn pro is affordable artisan zero edit: my bad I have not done enough research, in some cases artisan is cheaper depending on size retailer and location and Im running out of time before they come.
For US after shipping the Artisan is actually cheaper right this minute, over the pro. I thought they were more different than people make it out to be too.
I currently have a skypad 3.0 is it worth buying a hien? I'm used to the skypad (with gpx + tiger ice skates) but not sure if its holding me back in tactical shooters or if its just a skill issue that I can improve on.
I need the most smooth Mouse surface since my skin is so sensible. Which one do you recommend? Today I use Corsair MM350 Pro that I like the felling, but it´s small for me. I was looking for something as 1000x500. Thanks
Which mousepad would you recommend me for fps gaming, I wanna buy Hayate Otsu Xsoft actually but I wanna hear some recommendation. (Valorant, OW2, Rainbow 6) I am using glass mousepad right now but I want one more mousepad.
@@UlasDemircan I've personally been on the skypad 3.0 more than the other 2 pads but the Otsu hasn't let me down yet. If you wanna buy it it won't let you down
I tried the Artisan Hien Mid, but for tracking it felt too slow after using an aluminum mousepad. Basically, my point here is. Is there any mousepads other than the Skypad 3.0 that have that sort of speed with little to no stopping power?
one thing about the hien is if u live in a relatively humid climate the pad is going to wear down significantly faster where you use it to the point where its basically unusable and you cant do anything to mitigate/fix it
Does the Skypad 3.0 work with a mouse with Pulsar Glass Skates(Superglide)?? I have looked for this answer for awhile cus I have a Logitech Superlight with glass skates.
Don't the Raiden Mid slide around on your desk?? It does on mine and it basically makes it unuseable... I will have to try the xsoft variant though since I like the surface so much!
Brother you got to try out the hyperx pulse fire gaming pad. I find it to be a nice mix between speed and control with a slightly abrasive surface. It feels like a Saturn and hien together.
Very new viewer here. Video idea for you: Mousepad recommendations but sorted by budgets. Let's say, best mousepads for under 50 dollars, best mousepads for under 100 etc. Your long videos with tier rankings are helpful but a hassle to scrub through if you're just a noob looking for the best mousepad you can get on a budget
in your experience has the hayate otsu developed permanent slow spots? Mine has and I wonder if it is a special case. My hien has stayed consistent even though the hayate otsu is an "improved hien"
Getting an Artisan mousepad in Germany is a disaster, most of them are between 70-110€ and most of the time you also need to pay 10-20€ just for shipping fees. I got the AC2 Sakura Black for around 50€ this week.
I used MPC450 with glass mouse feet for about 1year now, but i just took out my first red dragon just generic cloth pad and i realised how mutch control i lost with MPC450 and glass scates and my aim was so mutch less consistent because of it. So wouldn't recommend using speed pad with glass skates.
Agree on the skypad, I play worse but it’s enjoyable since it’s unique, sucks that my forearm sticks when I sweat (I don’t main it so not gonna spend extra time and money for an arm sleeve)
You know I'm something of an Artisan man myself.. I'm sure you know this trick; but after the back of my hien lost it's stickiness I emailed Artisan, they told me to just wipe the back of the pad with water, or the desk where it will be placed and it works. After using water it sticks to the desk very well. Also I got a Skypad 3.0 recently and agree, it's very fun to use and quite unique compared to other pads.
@@red-yl9ez Apologies in advance for the essay: Well, I’m sure if I remember correctly quite a few apex pros were using the skypad at LAN. Which I’d say is a competitive scene. I’m not sure about other esports as I don’t follow them as closely sorry. I think really it depends on the person and how good your mouse control is, if your mouse control is high level and your aim is good I think it can be a fantastic pad. However if you struggle with things like smoothness I think it can actually accentuate those issues. You could actually argue that’s a good thing as it’ll force you to focus on your weakness though. Sorry I know this is kind of not really a straightforward answer. If you wanted speed but still on cloth you could try pads like raiden, kuroson ninja, Artisan actually released V2 of the Shidenkai recently. Mine is due to be delivered next week though so I can’t comment on what it’s like, but I’d also imagine fast as it has glass in from what I recall from V1. But if you want a pad that is very unique and will feel different to all your cloth pads though I don’t think you can’t beat a Skypad. Tracking on it feels so fluid. If you do get one check out xraypad obsidian dots which are designed for glass pads and should last longer than regular PTFE, you also get like 40 dots for something like £8. Skypad also recently did a collab with them. I also heard good things about the pulsar superglide pad which Is also glass.
Been playing on a sky pad 3.0 for a few months now…to me it’s been hard to master but the speed you get from it will make it look like straight up aim bot when you snap on some body 😂
