Tiff you were a young mom. Isaac grew up with love care and become a fine young man. That's what's important. Don't beat yourself up. It'd never too late for him to learn about his own culture.
Use a toterilla device with a plastic then put a small dough of masa on the corn leaf and press, instead of spreading the masa on the corn leaf with a spoon, it quicker .
I knew it was never the best thing to do when preheating your pans but I do the exact same thing that Tiff does. I get a little bit of water to test the surface of the pan.
Looks so good but masa looks so dry that’s why it’s loose around the meat and it won’t be easy to spread on the corn husk. It’s okay to add more broth or lard to make it easier to spread. Overall, looks delicious❤️
It’s really cool tiff likes cooking now but I don’t agree with her feeling guilty not being a “mom in the kitchen” for her kids personally it sounds like internalized sexism. I don’t think cooking in the kitchen should be a requirement for being a good mother.
You feel guilty about not bringing Isaac up with Spanish culture, you totally take Casey's contribution for granted, Casey shows him so much love and responsibility, that exceeds any traditional culture that's you over appropriate.
And for a Latina who usually takes care of her man, tiff, you've done a horrible job in showing Casey what a woman is supposed to be. I hope you show him more love after the baby is born. If it was me I would have dumped you a long time ago.
