I am not a cook at all. My mom has bone marrow cancer. She has always cooked for me at least 1 to 3 times a week. Her health has taken a turn for the worse. I have been making her dinners for the past 3 weeks. I want to try and make everything from scratch. This recipe was kind of scary for me. As I mentioned I rarely cook. Thanks to you and your detailed instructions, just made the best pot pie my mom and I have ever had. Thank you so much and I can't wait to try your other recipes. Positive thoughts your way!
Thank you so much! My mom said to say hi and thank you for your thoughts and prayers. She has been doing much better the past month. Positive thoughts your way. @rosedevereux2391
That is so wonderful! Thank you for letting me know. You and your mother are so sweet. Sending hugs from the US, not sure where you are. I receive and appreciate your positive thoughts.🌻@@DanTanner707
Disclaimer, I suck in the kitchen. Now, I want to thank you. I finished mine and it tasted so good. The instructions are clear and straight to the point.
I am a old man who doesn't know how to cook, but your recipe was easy to follow. The dish came out great I thank you for sharing, and will make this dish again. Thank you!
Hi Natasha! I’m newly married and never really cared for cooking-in fact I always said I hated/don’t know how to cook. Then I came across your channel and learned that I actually love cooking and I love your recipes!! I’ve tried a bunch out and I’m about to dig into the delicious pot pie I just made. Thank you so much for inspiring me!!! You’re amazing!! Plus, I think my husband is happy I came across your channel too 😋
Made this last night and my whole family loved it, now when I look up recipes I always put Natashas Kitchen behind what I search for to see if you made it already lol just love how much of an amazing chef you are 🙌🏽❤️
Her recipe for pumpkin pie is devine. And pizza dough is a tried and true go to recipe.Yum Yum! Always watch to see what she is cooking for ideas,Thank You!
I love every recipe that Natasha shares with us. Natasha puts all the chefs on THE FOOD NETWORK CHANNEL where they fall far behind Natasha’s natural talent for teaching.❤
Made this morning. I made your pie crust yesterday and put in the fridge until this morning. I must not have added enough water while mixing, because mine was way too crumbly this morning. I did save it by adding a 1/2 tbls of ice water and reshaping it. Everything looks delicious. I didn’t do a good job on crimping my edges, so will have to practice. Mine is cooling right now. Thanks for the fun easy to follow recipe!
I just made this. I’m 61 years old and this was my very first homemade pie crust AND chicken pot pie! Can’t wait to dig in!! Thanks for a wonderful recipe! BTW, the videos are very helpful! God bless!
I just made this for my family, and WOW! It may have been one of the best dishes I’ve made. The filling was super flavorful, and the crust was buttery and flaky. So much better than other pot pie recipes. I will definitely make it again. Thank you Natasha!!
I just made this today and it was sooooo delicious. I didn’t make my own crust, but instead used Wholly Wholesome rolled pie dough. Came out great! Thank you for this easy and oh so yummy recipe😋
I made this all the time when my kids were little, they loved it. I used a rotisserie chicken, frozen vegetables and cream of chicken soup. This is great when it's cold outside! Great job!
One day my husband told me he had a new best girl friend!!!!!!! He loves cooking. I would have never imagined it was you! LOL! He calls you "Tacha". He has made many of your recipes, and always have been fantastic.
I roasted some garlic. Mashed it up to add an extra pop of flavor. I added some chili sauce from an Asian market. I also put some Trader Joe’s umami seasoning into the mix. Best pot pie I’ve ever had. Thanks Natasha!
I have a chicken pot pie in the oven right now, and my husband and I can barely wait for the 30 minutes for it to bake. This recipe is outstanding and our go to chicken pot pie recipe! I even made Natasha's pie crust recipe and it rolled out beautifully. You must try it, it's the best!!
I made this for Thanksgiving and just pulled it from the oven for Christmas Eve dinner. I love her recipe for the crust. I keep wanting to go eat a bite of it, but I know it has to set up a bit first.
I made this tonight. I made the pie crust the night before. Didn't add mushrooms because H. doesn't like them. Tasted delicious. Thank you for the recipe.
And yet another perfect recipe from the perfect cook lady on the internet. I made this pot pie today it was so easy, came out perfect and very very delicious. As I've told you many times I am not a professional chef , But I like cooking because I know it's in it as opposed to buying store-bought stuff. Again thank you for the recipe Natasha. You rock the internet with your amazing talent!!!
Me too! In fact, it didn’t last a day! 😆😆. This was my first pot pie ever made and like you, my family loved it. I have leftover turkey from Thanksgiving and will make another this week. I even made the crust. Fabulous recipe ❣️
Hands 🙌 down truly the BEST chicken pot pie recipe to follow! I had a left over Costco chicken that needed to be used and this recipe turned out amazing! SO DELICIOUS….Natasha is adorable and fun to watch in this video! What a hoot….the simplicity and laissez faire attitude she purveys while assembling, made me take it on this hot summer day! I prepped all the ingredients the evening before, including thawing out a frozen pie crust found in the back of the freezer. Her pie crust is easy peasy to make but I need room for gelato! I didn’t have heavy cream, substituted equal parts of Greek yogurt and whole milk and threw in some red bell pepper while sautéing the mushrooms. I only had vegetable stock, so I added a couple of chicken Maggi blocks to the filling. Oh and I added a big fat Turnip diced into small bits that went in after with the carrots and onion, after they cooked down a few minutes. The surprise in the flavor came from adding some coarse Hawaiian sea salt and ground pepper with fresh chopped oregano to the pastry top after brushing on the egg wash. I also split the recipe in two and froze the other half for later, when the kids come by next weekend. This truly is a WINNER Winner CHICKEN Dinner. Natasha’s mom must be so proud to have this Distinguished Cook in the Family. Thank you Natasha!
I had been looking for a chicken pot pie forever. I finally found it. Made it with your butter pie crust. It was amazing! Thank you. Your recipes are the best.
I made this chicken pot pie and made her recipe for the homemade pie crust and it was AMAZING!!! My husband said it was the best chicken pot pie he’d ever had, and he’s had a lot of them! Thank you so much for this recipe Natasha! It will become a staple in my kitchen! 😋❤
thank you so much for this DELICIOUS recipe !! Literally my first time ever making this and everyone keeps complimenting my pot pie ! :) i think this is the tastiest thing I've ever made seriously lol
Gonna make this substituting the carrots with potatoes, and broccoli instead of peas! My husband, the picky eater, should love it lol can’t wait to try!
Ever since I came across your channel on “How to make Chicken Pot Pie” my family has requested the meal every Sunday they just love ❤it! Now I have reduced serving it one Sunday a month. You have made it look easy to make. I love the effects to speed it up and it’s not boring to follow. Thank You!
natasha, big fan....just wondering if you know the video editor who helped create this beautiful masterpiece....can't wait to give this CHICKEN POT PIE a try!
Grandma (may she rest in peace) always included pearl onions in her meat pies. She learned to cook in Northern England where steak and kidney pies were common. MAN! those were good. I don't think I've had any since she died.
Thank you so much for also explaining how to chop the veggies!!! Growing up I did not have any cutting skills. Wish more people were thorough like you!
I was hesitant to make the pre made crust but, thank God I did ! Everything took me 3 hours to make but it was the best dinner ever ! Thank you so much for this super easy and delicious recipe.. I can’t wait to recreate more dishes of yours !! 🥹🥧
I've made this recipe several times now, yesterday being the most recent! I always have to double the recipe ... one pie for dinner the night I make it and one for leftovers/lunches! This is the most amazing pot pie EVER! (We don't like mushrooms so I use whole kernel corn instead! Yum!!)
I always make it mixed vegetables, corn, fresh potatoes, cream of chicken soup, lipton onion soup, but I buy my crust from the store. One day I will make a homemade pie crust.
Made this last night for dinner for my picky eaters , and wow it was soooo delicious and easy. I did use a store bought crust due to being in high altitude, and not knowing what adjustments to make and still sooooo amazing, love your videos! My family loves the recipes, best chicken pot pie I’ve ever had 🙌🏼
Been making this exact recipe for a couple of years with little to no deviation. But I have been smoking a lot lately and wanted to try this with a smoked chicken. At publix a ready rotesserie chicken is $7.95 and a fresh young raw chicken was $11.21. So I bought the rotis chicken took it apart, sprinkled lightly with some cajun seasoning and cold smoked it for an hour with pure hickory pellets. Visited my daughter's family for the afternoon yesterday and the concensous was 100%. Best pot pie in the world. Thanks Natasha!
OMG - I have never followed a recipe and it's turned out good. I used shop bought chicken and pastry but everything else I followed and this turned out truly one of the most tasiest things ever!!! Thank you so much for helping me with my first ever successful cooking session. I will try your chicken kiev and then roast chicken next :D
Pastry recipe is really easy, can be a little messy (for me) but bought crust is VERY EXPRESSIVE & this recipe tastes MUCH better. I bought once, no more always make. It’s not perfect looking
Beautiful pie. I like this style better as you can cut out the slice. Better eating. Thank you Natasha. Definitely making it this weekend. Looks soooo good 🌞
I love chicken pot pie. I used to get one at a big chain store during holiday season. But recently the price for a chicken pot pie has gone way up which is ridiculous! So I decided to make one by myself. I’m glad that I found this video! I tried the recipe today, and it turned out very tasty!! Love it so much! Thank you Natashas Kitchen! I can now make chicken pot pie anytime I crave it!
Yumy! I can't wait to try it. I, personally, would never cook ingredients that long. I prefer them more crispy. I have been wanting a good recipe for a long time. Thanks.
Thanks for the hook up! I loved this recipe, I love cooking for my wife on the weekends and this recipe made it so an average culinarian like myself could understand and produce the expected results.
Absolutely fantastic recipe Natasha. It’s the first time I’ve made chicken pot pie and wow ….. like all your recipes, I wasn’t disappointed. The pie crust is so easy to make. I’ve been looking for a “Go to” pie crust for ages and I’m so grateful to you I’ve finally found one. Thank you so much for all your recipes. You’re amazing! ❤️❤️❤️
Dear Natasha, every recipe I need I always find it here on your channel enjoying watching you make everything delightfully easy and "in good taste". Thank you so much for your recipes!
I was looking up recipes I wanted to try and picked your pot pie and omg it was AMAZING!! I’ve never made a pie from scratch let alone chicken pot pie, it was better than a restaurant and definitely better than the pre made frozen ones. I’ll definitely be making this pot pie several times throughout the year!
Thankyou for fastforwarding the preperation of veges etc.No need to watch peeling potatoes ect, especially if youre in a hurry to start making yyour dishes.love your show.Connie,Malmesbury Western Cape SA👏
This was amazing and the crust is the best ever. I didn’t have all the ingredients so I just used all my thanksgiving left overs so delicious. Thanks so much for this video. My family loved it.
@@Natashaskitchen I cooked it today for iftar and dinner and it turned out to be delicious thank you for the recipe I just skipped the mushrooms as my family don’t like them I added cabbage instead 🤩
Hi there, I made this pie today and it was lovely. All your recipes which I have tried are extremely tasty. I didn’t do a good job with rolling out the pastry but it didn’t show when it was cooked. My daughter can’t wait to get home and have a piece. Even my husband who is very difficult to please, gobbled it up. Many thanks. Jenny
Can you list them if you don’t mind so I can try them as well? It’s always great to hear from fellow cookers RU-vid subscribers of a cooking channal of the recipes they have tried.
Hiii! I tried this right now and this was the most delicious chicken pot pie I’ve ever made and everyone should try this and will turn out amazing, no doubt! Thankyou Natasha for this amazing recipe! My family was so surprised the way it tasted and they were like how did you do it?! And all the credits goes to you🤗🤗🤗if I had a chance, I would share the pic to you!
Natasha! I’m so happy I found you! Finally, cooking I can understand! I’ve made your shrimp Alfredo, shrimp cakes, and now this just this week! Thanks so much for the inspiration! :)
I made this a few days ago and it turned out amazing. It was the best flakiest pie crust ever and the filling was so yummy! My husband was so impressed how beautiful it turned out. I am loving every recipe I’ve made from your cookbook. We love your channel so much because you make things we would actually eat. Keep up the great work!! We are your biggest fans from Nampa!
have my own filling ingredients which include rosemary, marjoram, sage, thyme and a splash of Worcestershire but I'm looking forward to trying your butter crust which I will be adding just a little vinegar to for dough conditioner for extra flakiness and brush the top with a little extra butter and some cheddar cheese sprinkles before baking. Thank you so much for sharing!
I hope not. Most things here were good except for... never buy that prepped-cooked chicken, it's very dry. Also, cut off the ends of your mushrooms. Pie crust is fine, I guess, but pastry crust is better. It's clear she knows what she's doing and is a great chef so I'm assuming under normal circumstances outside of making RU-vid videos she would make this a bit different.
Natasha, I've recently found your channel, thank you for all your hard work. I made the chicken pot pie last night and it was a huge hit with my family. Tonight I'm making your pizza recipe with white sauce. Please keep the delicious recipes coming! Laurie
I worked with your recipe for dinner tonight. I modified it a bit since only one family member likes mushrooms. My solution was to leave out the shroons and replace them with small cut potatoes and celery. it turned out really wonderful, but the most amazing part is your crust recipe .I have always been the family member called upon to make the pies for holiday get-togethers because they liked my pie crusts, however I have to tell you that I now have a new go-to crust recipe. Your crust is simply the best I have tasted in years. It is quite simply amazing and I want to thank you for sharing it with the world.
