I really like the granular stuff that you water in later with irrigation and it breaks down DG particle. The simplest process on the consumer. Keep updating our calendars to encompass everything from bugs, amendments, frets, fungus and more!! Love your app
Love these products coming out. I remember back in the day (2018 is when I started to watch your channel and learn) it was just lawn tips. Now it's lawn tips, books, and products. Products that actually work and are tested by people that know what they're doing.
Happy to come back to your channel now that I recently moved to a new house. I learned and applied a bunch of your tips on my first lawn in Ohio, now I am gearing up to work on my second in Michigan. Cheers and throw'er down!!!
I have a sprayer that I thought was broken but I hadn't realized I needed to put the chemical in and fill the rest with water before use. I was just putting the chemical in (1/3 to 1/2 filled the container) and wondering why it wasn't being drawn into the stream. Thanks for this!
Just got mine delivered today, looking forward to using. One thing I suggest is to fill one with water and spray it to empty before using products. That way you know how much you can cover and won't risk over (or under) applying since everyone walks at a different pace
I agree, I just put down some RGS & Air8 mix in my yard yesterday with one of the Yard Mastery Quart bottles and was surprised that it used the whole quart up in a matter of like 90 seconds. You really gotta move quick to get it to cover 2000 sq ft 😅
Venturi went into the car business. French company that looks like a Ferrari. Alan, your videos just keep getting better and better! Keep up the good work brother! I’m editing my original post - WOW. You played both ends of the Venturi/Bernoulli perfectly! You are master. 🙇♂️
I ordered some on your website and coming to pick em up to a shop, crossing border from Canada! I didn't want to keep buying Hydretain in sprayer bottles just to get the sprayer, while I have its jugs. Thank you for making this video!
I have those spray bottles they work awesome. I believe I have purchased like 10 pairs yup so that gives me 20 spray bottles. Why so many. Well sometimes I mix all my stuff up in a 5 gallon drink container, I have a Spicket at the bottom where I fill up the bottles. This way I fill up multiple bottles and when I start to spray I just put in another bottle, works great. Great video as always
I have hose end sprayers and I feel like I can blow through my bottle (measured out) in a minute do you recommend maybe not turning my faucet on full to lower the flow? I do have extremely good water pressure out of my spigots
Plus when you are crazy for the spray like we are, you end up having like 10 of them before you know it so when something breaks there are always replacements around.
Hey from Palm Harbor! Al, it just wouldn't be a Sunday without a how-to video from you. I've been working your lawncare strategies into my SA and am VERY happy with the results! This stuff WORKS. Thanks and keep up the good work!!
I only got 3k sqft and I just got the yard mastery sprayer.......this makes me think I shouldn't have until I remember Im dropping celsius tomorrow. I do love walking up down the yard though, always finding stuff.
Okay.Just got my bundle of 4 along with my Sea K and hydretain about to do some spraying and praying well. Actually I did last night. Rain is on it's way.
I haven’t seen it mentioned yet - when would you use one of these sprayers vs say a battery powered pump sprayer? Does it just come down to preference or are there specific products that require one vs the other?
My soil has phosphorus deficiency so I choose to fertilize with the GreenePOP. I mixed it with Humic12 into a hose sprayer, and also resulted in a really thick sludge as well . Luckily, pouring them into a tank sprayer with plenty of water dissolves them. It's been really rough in Texas this summer and I'll be trying out the Hydretain as well.
How's the empire zoysia doing? My first season with this turf... The turf is a year and a half old new build home. Seems to be a roller coaster ride for me. 😆😆 . I just started a weekly spike aeration program last week. See how this goes. We purchased the house in Dec and when the turf came out of dormancy something happen, ring rust popped up and I really have to stay on it. Areas in the back yard are being stubborn with greening up too. I'll get it down, coming from Rhode Island cool season grass to warm weather turf.
Nothing like Sand Hill Cranes, the premier bird in Florida. Always guaranteed to see them on golf courses too, going after those tasty grubs and mole crickets
Hey Allen. I listened to a Wonderful interview that you did with (Cassie?) on Friday. I can't seem to find it to give it another listen. I jave your podcast set on automatic download for new episodes. Is it still available? I sure hope so! Thanks!
Excited to try the new FourPlay. Should be here on Tuesday. Just in time. Because we’re breaking heat records in Utah right now. Got some good localized dry spots to hit with the new FourPlay product. Good video, Al.
I run a dog training business from my home. That plus summer heat is destroying the back yard. Think you could do a video on keeping a cool season lawn at least alive with heavy foot traffic and heat?
Any plans to manufacture you’re own YardMastery hose in sprayer. Maybe a combination of the ortho dial, chameleon and this unbranded one? I would definitely pay a higher price for a more feature rich and high-quality product.
I've been using these spray bottles for 4 years now LOL. I bought them off a docs channel when he probably didn't even have 5,000 subscribers.. Now he's huge but not like you yet ha.
I use i tablespoon of fertilizer per gallon for water, bucket by bucket, (It's killing me) for hanging baskets and plants. How much liquid "slushy" of the fertilizing would I use in this? I do not understand how to make a strong "slushy" . How many gallons does it put out?
I've never applied any liquids I'm probably going to try with some liquid iron because my lawn is in bad need of it, I might just order the empty bottles instead of the Ortho
the Cutter spray bottle does not produce the chemical , only sprays water. Takes 60 minutes just to get 10 oz to come out. I think they changed the nozzle recently , probably using a cheaper vendor for parts.
I’m new homeowner looking for help with my yard. Tried singing up on site but cannot find a sign up, only current login members. I’m looking to get a custom plan on how to treat/fix my yard
That batter reminded me of… never mind. Anyways, what happened to your neighborhood bro? Those two trucks across that street at the end looks like east chicago with palm trees
So Funny, I covered my front lawn with the dove method and it was great. Honestly, it spread in nicely, I was lucky to get some rain shortly after and today the grass feels soft and bouncy.. Lol.. thanks for the tip...NJ
Honest, I haven’t had rain in 2 weeks, been hand watering not to love my northern Rye. It was course and stiff, today Lol, soft and silky Lol.. you all have to try it..
The reason for low pressure is simple. Conservation of energy through the sprayer. Coming in you have a large diameter meaning low velocity, therefore low kinetic energy with high pressure or static energy. When the water passes through the smaller diameter the velocity increases which creates high kinetic energy meaning the pressure must drop to decrease the static energy so that energy is balanced....simple
Great videos.... I signed up for the notification of when you are getting the empty bottle in stock. Do you have any idea when you will be getting them? Just want to plan ahead. Are we looking at a week or 2, or are we talking months? Thank you.
Are these still available for purchase? both links lead to an error page not found and searching the website they do not come up. Anyone know of where to purchase?
Hey Allen just wondering I buy most of your products but I don't see any applications for insects. I have your app and calendar for cool season lawn I'm in New York. With other fertilizers like milorgnight when would you apply that.
we have not built in insect or disease recommendations in there at this time. That may be something we try in the future but it's pretty variable so a little more difficult to predict the optimal times.
I am having a huge problem with clogging. i am clearing this sprayer every 30 -60 seconds. i like how the next products work. but it takes an incredible about of time putting it down due to clogging issues. So one of 2 things need to happen. Either a sprayer needs to be properly calibrated to handle this sediments in these products or they need to be able to filter these products better. But as it sits these products are basically un usable. until i find a solution that prevents me from unclogging every 60 seconds.
Hi, I've been following you on youtube for a while and I really appreciate the stuff you give in your videos. In fact, I would like to know if the products that you use and that you have on your website can be delivered to Canada? If it is possible, I would like to have the procedure. Many thanks in advance and keep up the good work.
hey there, thank you for watching my videos! At this time we cannot ship to Canada as our products are not registered there. Maybe one day we will be able to do this but for now we are not permitted.
Allen, I love the spray pattern on these bottles. I wish we could get a sprinkler head that had this type of spray pattern. They would sell out fast :). I also find myself just using the green nozzle without the bottle. attached.
So I layed some zoysia in March and it's super green and thick but there's alot of spots that are fully dead where my dog has peed. Is there anything I could put down to prevent it? Also do you know if the dog treats they make to prevent it really work.
Switch to Purina Pro Plan food. Works for me with 3 labs on Zorro Zoysia. Most other brands are too high in N. So you get burn. If I see a spot on my turf I know there is a roaming dog in the neighborhood. Seeing is believing.
Why on earth hasn’t anyone added a “fill port” to these bottles to avoid unscrewing the hose each time? Just unscrew the cap from the extra fill port, add solution, and you are on your way again. I may have a friend 3D print a trial see- through quart bottle. I also use a Flowzone backpack sprayer, but for a quick spray, these quart bottles are very handy! Also much easier for us “yard gals” who don’t want to lug a heavy back pack around. Just a thought. Thanks. Love your content! 🤗💯
Hi Allen. I'm thinking about applying hydretain with one of these sprayers but my yard is almost 17,000 square feet. Would I be better off with the granular version instead of the liquid concentrate?
Due to living in Texas and being on water restrictions, I purchased Hydrotain for the first time. I ran into an issue with the "feed tube" not pulling the liquid up and mixing with the water. I pulled off a sprayer from another product so I could throw'er down. Is there something I'm missing or can do to fix this? ...and yes, the dial was set to "on".
