Wore Cool Water everyday during my college days. Went through so much bottles of it because of my classmates who ask for a few spritz of that good stuff. Good times. And now I wear Philosykos everyday. Maybe I should revisit my first love., Cool Water.

I've become a fan of you when I saw the feature video you did on your 20 designer fragrances and you selected encre noire a l'extreme by lalique as your #1. I think of that fragrance in a similar way and thought there would be a lot to learn from your channel. Good luck on your career and keep up with the good work.

Great timing! I've been on the search for a summer scent for a while now. Philosykos and un jardin sur le nil were two parfums i've considered, the others are concentre d'orange verte, nishane hacivat and ganymede and I love all of them, it's Impossible to pick one...

I need to try that Heeley, I love the salt note in fragrances but I still have to find the perfect one for me, also haven't tried Philosykos. Here where I live it's HOT 100* F almost every day, even though I prefer heavier fragrances right now I'm in love with Loewe Paula's Ibiza it's a beach fragrance but a little stronger and doesn't smell like the typical fresh scent. Hi Ashley. Is there a difference between your fragrance selection based on summer desert vs summer humid conditions? We just had over 100mm of rain the other day and it's getting sticky out. Normally it's super dry. Thanks for the consistently informative content!

Thanks Ashley. Very interesting list. I love Sel Marin. I will buy a full bottle soon as I have burned through all of my samples. ADP Colonia Club is also a go to here when it gets humid.

Now THIS is the vid I was waiting for. When people say “hot” weather fragrances they’re usually taking about 80° lol. Your description of Room 237 has me wanting to try it asap. Being from hot & humid TX a fresh clean cool scent is all I can stand. This summer I’ve been LOVING Tauer’s l'air des alpes suisses. It has a sort of cooling bitter fresh vibe that’s straightforward and perfect for this current hell weather. Only complaint is that it vanishes quickly on me.

Hi Ashley, great review. Fragrances I wear in very hot weather include Roja Oceania, Parfums De Marly Darley and Galloway, and a few Creeds

Will have to go and smell Cool Water again. I'm pretty sure that Luca Turin really rates this fragrance highly too. My hot weather favourites are: Mugler Cologne, Guerlain AquaAllegoria Herba Fresca, Philosykos and Valentino Rosa Verde.

I live in the desert in Southern California...114 last weekend. Phylosykos is a favorite of mine. I've also been wearing a lot of Eau de Rochas Homme and Cristalle EDT Chanel. I need to try Room 237 now...had no idea there was a 'Shining' inspired scent. That's a good one.

It is currently over 110 degrees where I live so I appreciate this video very much!

I love Un Jardin Sur Le Nil especially when I am slow cooking dinner. I love the carrot in it. I love citrusses on hot days too, but yeah, an hour or two and it's poof. Perhaps as a perfumer your masterpiece of eternal renown would be a citrus that survives a day in the office in a heat wave. For the moment, I can solve it by just re-applying. I love AdP Colonia Pura for that. It's so light and airy.

I enjoy Zara’s Vetiver Pamplemousse and Amalfi Sunray nowadays as well as the Polo Blue’s, sometimes layered other times one by one. I’m quite pleased with the new Parfum version and another fave of mine in high heat is Y Eau Fraiche from YSL.

Hello Ashley, I was wondering if you might consider addressing the concept of perfume maceration. As a perfumer with knowledge of the chemistry behind it all, is it in fact a real thing? Besides an unopened bottle macerating overtime, I have heard that oxygen introduced to the bottle can deepen and enrich a perfume more quickly. Would love to know your thoughts.

Ashley, I love your list. I wear Philosykos by Diptyque, Eau de Campagne by Sisley & Concentre d'Orange Verte by Hermès in hot weather. They do not last very long on my skin but I love the fragrances.

It gets very hot where I live. My big hot-weather discovery this year has been Amouage Beach Hut Man. I also really like ELdO's You or Someone Like You on a hot day.

I expected Nishane Hacivat on this list. But refreshing to other choices.

Jokes aside, I wear Aramis by Aramis when it is very hot outside.. The bitterness turns into creaminess in the high heat.. I got many compliments with it on hot days, but I also got negative reactions wearing it in the winter, so go figure

Have you tried Bleu Turquoise by Armani Privé? It is a wonderful salty, vanilla aquatic.
