Atlanta Xcelence , hey I see you in Atl, so I’ve been scheduled to pick up my rental in 2 weeks at union city, to drive for Uber, but I haven’t been connected to their drivers app. It seems confusing to me and apart from the instructor, I want someone else who can help me navigate through it. I don’t trust text conversations 100%, I’ve been on RU-vid just watching folks talk about their first time experiences, how to get started, etc. I’m trying to rent through uber and then drive for them. Any advice, any tip on what to do and what not to do.?

stev stevhoov thats true you might find surprises driving late at night.

In San Diego,..they all say Lyft gets no beeps now ,... you rarely get a drunk at Lyft but the people at Lyft also rarely tip ,.. Uber gets all the calls but Uber will clog your car with 5 riders and pay you 3.33 $ lol,.. for all of it,..

Don't do that they rate after they see their rate...in that case u are at risk

Did that for 2 days. Riders retaliated. My rating went from 4.93 to 4.87. 6 points by the end of the 2nd day.

I wouldn't recommend it. Too many drunk people you have to deal with. If you want to though, 1-3am is probably the best time for that.

I've driven those times, and yes drunk people are a pain. They sometimes tip, and they tend to leave low ratings because they just don't feel that good. It to me wasn't worth the ratings. I give them great service, and they repay me with a 3-4 star rating. Again, not worth it.

Passengers request an Uber and the driver that is closest will get a request. If the driver accepts the request, he gets the ride.

@@LeonAllanDavis you weren't paying attention with what I said. I said in some cases even in most cases what you say may apply, but not in Kavanaugh case, he lied multiple times under oath and his story wasnt adding up plus he looked guilty. Not too mention she is a credible witness.

The example you used is invalid because of the inconsistencies in Kavanaugh story and the fact the witness was credible. I'm in D/FW ... I hardly do mornings... 3p-9p is a good shift ... you can average $20 /hr

20$ an hour - tax. -vehicle wear and tear (.55 cents a mile). It’s not that much. In mass I average 30$. But I get less then half it. Only worth it if it surges or I get some passenger wth a heart that actually tips. And a loaf of breads 8$ here jk but you know the deal...

Thank you! For female drivers who are concerned, I would recommend getting a dashboard cam and have some pepper spray in your car as well. Make sure your passengers are buckled up. This will limit their reach. Also, try not to wear anything that's too revealing. Definitely don't drive past 2am when the drunks are ordering Ubers. Nothing good can come from that. Drive safe!

You can buy dashcams that have screens on them. People will be more inclined to behave if they can see themselves on camera, like putting a CCTV screen in a store where people can see themselves so the decide not to steal.

The same hours apply for Miami area. I do not drive between 9 to 4 anymore the rides are too spreadout to make any decent cash.

Do you mean for UberPool? Tell them that that there is a max of 2 people for Uber Pool and ask them to order an UberX.

Yes, I had a passanger request uberpool and show up with 3 friends. I told them that they needed to request another car and they became angry an said that Uber does not specify maximum passangers per fare.
