sadly i've never tried the quartets. Im very much a novice when it comes to iems. trying to build a foundation in this style of review since its not really my main style.
Thanks for the great review! Since you recommend these for gaming, how good is the microphone on these? Does it perform well in voice chat? I'm looking for a new pair of wired IEMs or earbuds for Microsoft Teams. I dislike wearing headsets, so I've been using a set of Philips Fidelio S2 for years (higher end earbuds from the days when were all still listening to our music wired). These have a great mic, but unfortunately the flat rubber cable on mine is degrading quickly due to age. If the mic on the May is good, it seems like a great replacement.
i personally found the stereo separation to be awful. there was more times than not where i would mis hear steps or util being used in games. Sounds like just left and right and nothing in the other channels (if that makes sense). When using something like the Cadenza (same prices) the sound was not as good for music but MUCH better for gaming. I just didn't experience this with the may's at all, the separation for me was MUCH better than the other iems I've tried and I've had zero issues personally with them.
@@stubbyfpsyou sure you put in the cables right on the iems? when i first got them i had the L and R cable mixed up to the L and R iems and had the same issue. After i fixed that they sounded good for spatial sound
@@arthpatel271 nope, there were in the right cables. the audio just wasnt as good for gaming compared to iems at a similar price point for me. i can def try them again, but i vividly remember the audio in game sounding very bad compared to just listening to music.
They are not the best for gaming Stubby... even in gaming there is specific picks for what u are looking for, I get u are hyped but dont get people induced in error I would actually consider Aria Snow Edition cleaner and better for gaming then the May
well from what i have, they are the best. i dont have much knowledge with iems but compared to what i have, they are fantastic. great directional audio and zero complaints for me (also clickbait title obv). i do need to try other iems in the $100 range, but its the least of my worries since these are great enough to not feel hindered by them.
