Thank you for your enlightment, I'm always looking up to receive latest ideas and development from you. I will share my success story soon by God's grace.🙏🙏🙏🙏
This is insightful. I currently work as a graduate teaching assistant as I pursue my masters here and it has been great. I share my journey on my channel also.
International Student workers got in-state tuition back in the day(dunno if it still happens now). And of course there are numerous scholarships that help cover that cost in addition to your job as a “student worker”. So being a student worker was/is great too😊. Not many departments have RAs
Very true! At my institution and some of my friends institutions, student workers still had to pay Tuition and fees. But I guess it varies, depending on where you go...thanks for your input!
Thank you so much. I've been in a fix getting scholarship for PhD. Ive had admission since early 2019, but now I feel a certain way as I am not able to get scholarship for international studies. So exhausted 😴
Hi Dr Ann, thanks for the videos. They are quite educating. I am from Nigeria and I'm interested in pursuing a Master's of Public Health in Canada. I will need your guidance please. Thank you.
Thank you Professor for this wonderful piece, I must say it has been insightful. I am currently rounding up my Master of Science degree in Public Health, here in Nigeria and i wish to find out if I can email professors at this time or I wait until I am through with my masters program? Thank you for you time. David.
Hi Dr. Ann, another great session in this video. I got admitted to four universities about four universities in the US for masters in computer science. Unfortunately I haven’t got any RA/TA or secured any work yet. I’ve written to over 20 professors but still not got anything positive. Are there any scholarships external scholarships you think I could apply for at this time?
I did proof read and personalized for each professor based on their research interests. I also attached my cv and transcripts in each case. It could probably be the way it’s crafted. Thanks for responding.
Hi Ann. I graduated with a 2.2 from a Nigerian University. I'm looking at getting a Masters in Canada but I'm not sure of the next step to take. 1. Do I get a Post Graduate Diploma here in Nigeria first? 2. Someone mentioned going through an under grad diploma in a college in Canada before applying for a Masters
Hi Ann I just got my admission to do masters in Computer Engineering at Wayne State University. But the challenge is they don't have Assistantship for MS programs in my college. I've already secured this admission, I really wanna take up this offer, I applied to 6 schools like you advised only Wayne State University offered me admission. How do I go about my funding? cause I've not got my I-20 because I've not sent my financial support. I really don't have the money required. I know I can fund my studies once am in USA but the challenge is to scale through the Visa how to I go about the funding?
Thanks for this insight Dr 👍 I have a question, are this opportunities open to all graduate students or is it just for Msc research Students. What about those on planning for Taught graduate programs? George-clifford Opara Nigeria MBA or Msc Entrepreneurship.
@@annondemand6607 Sorry about that. My question is, these job opportunities you mentioned are they open to all graduate students irrespective of the kind of graduate program they are planning to study? To be more specific can someone who is applying for a taught graduate program get these job opportunities?
Hello doc Thanks for this, The graduate research assistant is what I really like because I have a lot related to my field that I will really love to do more research on. ❤❤ It is a big day tomorrow doc Name: Valentina Country: Nigeria Course of study: Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Artificial Intelligence)
When aiming to get the graduate research assistance should we send the emails while applying or when we start the program. Also is it common for masters students?
It depends on the state, university, department and course of study. I can speak for only Texas: I earned $1750 as a GTA and $1500 as an GRA, however my fees were covered as an GTA. If you're in engineering you could earn up to $2500 as a GTA or GRA. Lower end is $1300 - higher end $2500.
This info is GOLD. but i'm a bit concerned, what if the school you get admitted to asks for proof of funds, and you know fully well that you plan to pay through scholarships or RA/TA jobs? How does one go about that? Meanwhile, it's almost a new month. Lol COUNTRY: Nigeria DEGREE: Masters COURSE: Structural Engineering/ Construction Engineering
Hahaha! I see your plug :) While you apply start trying to get a research or teaching assistant position. If you get this, you are covered for your i-20 and visa. If not, you can always be truthful about your plans to get an RA or TA position.
