There was one restaurant along Rada Street, Legaspi Village in Makati that’s really small called Rural Kitchen. I’m sad that it’s closed already, but they (I believe) has the most delicious, nutty, creamy, and rich kare-kare in all of history.
Kare kare is my favourite comfort food; and even I have allergies with peanuts, I always take anti allergies ahead of time for this Savoury meal; last vacation we ate at Crisostomo Resto in Robinsons magnolia it was the best kare kare for me; but since chef Martin is my crush. . . I will try all his recommendations with my anti allergies ready before feasting
I already tried Iya's Kare kare and it's good tlga masarap! must try! buti pa ang taste buds ni Chef credible, e un ibang vloggers e budol sb masarap dw kht nde. I tried one in Caloocan mura nmn kc 80-100 pesos don't expect much lasang karinderia.
Legendary Pedring's Kare Kare in Caloocan. You have a very small window time to buy this Kare Kare. Store opens only on a Sunday as early as 6am to 12pm. You can choose a variety of beef and porks parts from Tuwalya, Buntot, Balat, Laman, Laman Loob. Heck, even Crispy Lechon Kawali. The Kare Kare sauce is unlimited so there's that. There's also veggies on the side as well. Featr, I suggest to include Pedring's Kare Kare in Caloocan. One of a kind!

Mom’s kare kare is da best and syempre mine kc nakukuha ko yung timplang gusto ko. We use 3 types of peanuts - smooth peanut butter, grind to powdered, and the peanut bits 🤤

Eto yung dahilan bakit ang daming tao sa Romulo Cafe QC kagabi hay nako, ended up eating at Max's and ordered their Kare-Kare, okay naman din yung Kare-Kare nila but we were craving for Romulo's Kare-Kare.
At Costco today, oxtail sells for over $7.00 lb. At one point during the pandemic, grocery stores were selling for $12-13 lb! Best kare I had was in a Chicago and a Washington DC restaurant! I love adding tripe and beef tendon to kare. Nothing beats homemade bagoong!

The problem with kare kare is that oxtail is pricy therefore restos always skimp on their serving of that meat and replaced it with the cheaper tripe. Also the quote from time magazine “as close to home cooking as it can get” is kinda ignorant of the food and restaurant industry. Home cooking is not necessarily always better than restaurant cooking. Home cooking is no longer the bench mark of good food. To demystify kare kare, it is nilaga or bulalo with peanut butter basically.
just feedback, maybe he can describe the difference of each taste of the kare-kare from each location..cos the content is just filled with them eating with no verbiage and description.
