I tore a lig in my knee my last vb season in October. I was out for 6 months 😭. I have been searching over and over for a sleeve that’s thin like this so i don’t have to wear a big bulky brace! This review was amazing coach, thank you so much!!
I have just gotten surgery to remove a portion of my meniscus last week. I am recovery pretty quickly so I am back on my feet and walking pretty normally, and this video has come at the perfect time! Thank you for giving some information on the recovery process!
Man, thanks for this review, it's actually really well-timed. I've been struggling with calves that just won't turn off lately (I guess too many hills when I walk in my neighborhood + jumping around in rec volleyball for the first time in my life last winter while I was still pretty overweight didn't do them any favors), so the calf sleeves actually sound like something that may help. It's a bit of an investment for a canadian (man, that exchange rate), but dang, if it helps me make it out to train more so I can keep losing weight and getting better without constant tightness and soreness in my calves, would totally be worth it! And that 35% off brick discount is pretty sweet. I should get them by next month so I'll check back in when I've worn them a few times!
Could you do a product review on the Attakk performance knee support from Jumplete? I’ve been wanting to buy a knee sleeve due to my jumpers knee and this one and the Go Sleeve are my top two contenders but I can’t find any video reviews on the knee sleeve from Jumplete. I would love to see your in depths review with this product. But great video coach Donny 🙌!
I would love this. I’m in the same predicament. After a knee injury in high school and hit or miss training since then, at 31 I’m constantly dealing with pain in my patella tendon. Iv tried a ton of different sleeves and have been hesitant to dip into the more expensive ones after non of the cheaper ones hoagie worked. Iv tried shoes with more cushion and just about everything I can think of. KT tape was pretty good but I’m usually coming straight from work to the gym now and it takes to long to apply and I can never get it to stick unless I shave my knee area.
After just playing on Saturday and bruising my right knee bc the padding on the knee pad wore down and badly bruising both knees yesterday bc i didnt bring my knee pads at all, this video came at the perfect time!😂
Sorry to hear that! The ones I’m reviewing in this video actually don’t have knee padding. They will absorb some shock but it will mostly be for preventing cuts and scrapes. They actually plan on coming out with a pad attachment for volleyball players. However I still recommend these knee sleeves for recovery and performance benefits!
@@ElevateYourselfOfficial Thanks so much for the reply Coach! i just realized that theres a difference between "pad" and "sleeve" lol. im fairly new to the game, i havent played on an official team yet, but i love the game so much. Question: Would knee sleeves prevent bruises? Most times, my bruises are around my patella, so i could probably get away without protection there.
@@larvitar2065 maybe a bit, not really. sleeves are meant for compression to help primarily with patellar tendonitis and other overuse injuries. they are not made to be used as impact protection! 👍
@@larvitar2065 It will obviously help a lot with sliding bruise, any fabric will. And a tiny little bit with direct impact, but for that you probably want pads. You can also learn how to dive without hurting yourself, but it is kinda tricky :P I guess you could in theory just tape, or add some kind of padding to these sleeves. Would be nice with a clip on eh? :P
These seem great, but I play a lot of beach volleyball and dont want to rip expensive sleeves. Do you think the material was strong enough that they could last a for many uses on the sand? I play some indoor too, so I might just pick them up anyway and only use for indoor. Thanks Coach
