I have aging combination skin some of my Korean staples are Purito -Sea Buckthorn Vital 70 Cream (This has really done wonders for improving my skin texture) Haruharu- Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner iUnik - Black Snail Restore Serum If I want to give my skin a little rest but still have that boost of hydration, I use the Isntree - Hyaluronic Acid water Essence (This contains 8 forms of HA) and love their Green Tea fresh toner too. I wonder what I'll be using in August. Any ideas, can't wait for the big reveal Rob!

I'm falling in love with Sioris atm, they're cruelty free and have so many vegan options! Their milky cleanser is oh so gentle and the Bring The Light Serum is very very calming, the Calming Day Ampoule is fun to apply, not sure if it did anything dramatic to my skin and the You Look So Young Night Cream (now being called Deep in a Barrier Cream) is DIVINE, I think it's almost a dupe for Krave's GBR, because of the tamanu oil, but ofc GBR fixes my barrier much much faster than anything.
I love Korean skincare! Right now I'm using the Cosrx Full Fit Propolis Extract Overnight Mask, the Purito Deep Sea Pure Water Cream, and the Purito Centella Unscented Recovery Cream. I tend to switch on and off with the Purito moisturizers depending on what I feel my skin needs. I love to get my products from Yesstyle because they have korean fashion as well as beauty!
I agree 100% I love all Beauty of Joseon products I have bought. The ginseng essence water is a go too since I bought it. The Dunasty fream is also a fave in the colder months. I'm oily acne prone. The cleansing balm is a top in that category. Love BOJ.
You're the first person I've seen talk about the Purito cleanser! It's my holy grail - I can't believe it's not more popular. Definitely makes me want to hear your other recommendations! So happy I found your channel :)

I would recommend the Pyunkang yul essence toner, rovectin clean lotus cream, Benton green tea lotion, to name just a few faves, by wishtrend polyphenols in propolis, purito as a brand is great, try the sea water cream or the green level buffet serum. I could go on for hours. Apart from TIL and Facetheory I buy only Korean products.
I have been using all KB for 1 1/2 years and have not touched anything western since. My skin is the best it has ever been in 25 + years. I am also oily and live in a hot/humid state
There is so much choice with K beauty and lots of wonderful products. I am currently loving Heimish all green cleanser, PKY essence toner and moisture cream, Klairs midnight blue calming cream and my heart belongs to Hada Labo for cleansing oil and HA serum (J beauty I know!) ❤️👍
Love Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence and Isntree Fresh green tea toner. Love both brands. Recently been buying some product of "I'm From" and i am in love. FYI, since you are in the UK, you should definitely look into Niche Beauty lab (Spanish brand) and their sub brands Acnemy (acne) and Transparent labs (their ROSE CALMING CLEANSER is silk for my acne prone oily skin).
Thanks for the video! I have to try Beauty of Joseon. As for recommendations: the Iunik tea three relief serum works very very well for me to calm down pimples. Two hours after applying it, the pimple has reduced in size. Also, the Corx propolis sleep pack is great to refresh the skin and keep moisture during the night.
I'm a combination skin type with dehydration, I use isntrees clear skin 8%AHA essence then (bare with me) 3-4 different toners 😅 the Beauty of Joseon ginseng essence water, the Purito Centella toner (not 💯% loving this) the Bonajor and the Tiam Vita B5 toner. I love the texture of toners layering onto the skin, I feel more comfortable and less bogged down with product at the end of the routine! I use serums depending on the skin situation, Purito Centella serum (calming, skin barrier), iunik tea tree relief serum (redness, acne, calming), iunik vitamin propolis synergy serum (not used this ong but I immediately saw brightening), also recently the dermacube probiotics therapy ampoule (so many fermented ingredients!) I go between the illyioon ceramide concentrate and the iunik beta-glucan moisturizer (dehydrated skin loves it!) I honestly don't need to use as much as I do I just like to try new things out, would love recommendations for sunscreen that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!
I'm so glad you did this video, and a big thanks to Jenni🥰 The Korean skincare industry can be very intimidating, much like The Ordinary was for me when I first began buying from them. I tend to buy in bulk, so as soon as I get through more of my stash, I am definitely going to place an order. I will see what product will compliment my MAS products. I do buy my Klavuu Lip treatment in bulk from YesStyle several times a year🤓❤️ Rob you did a great job reviewing all these products. I'm sure it was a lot of work on your part. Normal Mature skin. I love Corsx 🐌 essence, Haruharu Wonder Rice toner, Benton Honest pH balancing cleanser (HG), PYK essence, Innisfree Green Tea toner, Benton Green Tea toner. Looking more into Benton products. I don't use oil based serums that often. I use alot of hydrating products. #BentonBoy. Have a great Tuesday❤️
I was originally introduced to K Beauty by a Chinese friend and it is simply amazing. They have the most innovative formulations, variety of ingredients, gentle and effective products, at a reasonable price. Their cute packaging doesn't hurt either. It's why I managed to stick to K Beauty for so long, when I couldn't stick to CeraVe (even though the products work well).
Yay more Korean skincare products! I reallyyyy want you to check out a new Korean beauty brand called Barr. They have a couple of skincare products that I think is good and I'm interested in, but not a lot of people are doing a review about it on RU-vid since it's a new brand :)

I have and use most of the products you mentioned...specially from the beauty of Joseon!!!...I highly recommend mugwort after shaving...fantastic to condition the skin!!!( personally I find an essence better in this case)....I find it difficult to find a good moisturizer for the summer....still searching....I forgot to mention, I am currently using the BONAJOUR green tea water bomb moisturizer....I 🙂.. so far enjoying !!
Hun I’m completely with you on the beauty of joseon green tea panthenol serum: my skin drinks it up! A full Pipette absorbs immediately, and I can easily layer twice. Beautiful product. I’m not a huge fan of their ginseng essence water though.... Keep sharing the k beauty love with us 😍

I tried k-skincare because of you and I am so very thankful. Mixed with my NIOD and Facetheory, my routine is so good for my skin and it’s come so far and it’s looking better everyday. I have ‘mature’, combo to dry, cystic acne prone and sensitive skin now and I have discovered my skin loves anything with propolis in it. It feels sooooo good. The Dr Ceuracle Kombucha tea essence is one of my HG’s - so hydrating and moisturizing. I’m trying the T’else kombucha Essence right now since it’s getting hotter & more humid here, it’s hydrating but not as moisturizing so it feels lighter. I really like it so far. Love the Haruharu Wonder black rice toner, just not a huge fan of the scent. The ACWell 5.5pH Licorice toner is one I keep purchasing (I’m on my 3rd bottle) I add it to a spray bottle and use it in between each of my steps. The RNW ceramide serum is one of my new favorites! Also BFFECT 10% Niacinamide + 2% Matrixyl and their Brio eye serums are fantastic (they’re actually a Taiwanese skincare brand). Thank You Farmer Back to Pure Daily Foaming Cleanser is my absolute favorite cleanser, doesn’t make my skin feel tight, gel consistency that lightly foams. One bottle lasts awhile. I have combination skin, finally no longer dehydrated 😂.
@jenni is going to just love this video…. I have to ask…. How do you manage to spread one or two drops over your face? Do the Korean serums spread better? I’m lucky if I can get away with 4 to 5 drops of serums…

Hi Rob I found K beauty a few years ago and have many many favourites. The Korean philosophy of skincare is being gentle and improving the health of the skin, which is good for my severely dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin. My skin drinks up layers of toners, essences and serums so I apply multiple layers. Moisturisers is the one of the areas I tend to like Western products for more and the other is actives. For hydration though K beauty can't be beat. A few long term faves are: Missha time revolution treatment first essence Neogen micro ferment first essence (as shown) Soon jung relief ph 5.5 toner Dear Klairs supple preparation unscented toner Pyunkang yul essence/toner Laneige cream skin refiner cosrx snail mucin 96 power essence Dear Klairs fundamental watery oil drop isntree tw bifida serum Purito uncented centella serum A few newer loves are the: cosrx propolis toner cosrx cica toner pyunkang yul black tea eye cream All of these are fragrance/essential oil free and suitable for my dry/hypersensitive skin. I always recommend patch testing however any new product. Many products are now available in travel/trial sizes which is really helpful for sensitive skin. Best wishes.

i love the some by mi toner and moisturizer. the super light exfoliation is pretty great for me. i also LOVE the primera miracle seed essence. it's pricey though, well pricey for a korean product, but it lasts so long.
Hey Rob, just wanted to mention that *"Joseon" is pronounced "cho-son"* with "cho" rhyming with "Jo" in Joseph but with more of a "ch" aspirated sound, while "son" rhymes with "John". It's a dynasty in Korea so thought it'll show more respect to Koreans if you would pronounce it right, more so since it's one of your favourite brands now 😊
So, I've been using that Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum, and I've been underwhelmed. However, my biggest frustration is that it's so lightweight it dries too fast to spread easily on my dry skin! I have to start with my skin wet (more than my usual "damp" for other products) and use a larger volume than I do for other serums. I was wondering if people who had oily skin might fare better with it, and it sounds like that might be the case! Great video, again! Thanks! P.S. I'm glad I'm not the only person who hates the name "mugwort"!😆
I tried the Glow one i believe. The one with propolis and i believe niacinamide. And im pretty sure it broke me out. But i havent seen anyone else say that.

I loved Missha's Super Aqua Ultra Hyalron Cream when I used it about a year ago. I'd say 80% hydration and 20% occlusive which is what my skin loved. (I have mild eczema and acne prone skin, so I am basically dry dehydrated acne prone) There really isn't much Korean skincare available around here other than Nature Republic and Farm Stay and unfortunately I don't think they're vegan or cruelty free as a brand. From Nature Republic I like the Pure Cherry Blossom Toner and Green Derma Mild Cica Serum. Farm Stay's DrV8 Black Snail Ampoule was surprisingly good and their DrV8 Hyaluronic Acid Cream was decent enough. I like using DrV8 Vitamin Ampoule for my body.
I ordered the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng serum and Ginseng toner. I didn’t get the dynasty cream because I already have a ginseng moisturizing cream I will be using. I’ve tried the Isntree Hyaluronic toner but it was way too viscous for my skin. I have T-zone oily skin. I use 95% of Korean products in my skincare routine. Great review! Xoxo ♥️

Adore the Corsx snail mucin line. I’m a 47year old guy so I’m on the ageing side and this works really well for me. Also the Neogen Real Ferment is amazing for my skin. Very hydrating. I’m still trying to find the perfect spf

I love klairs vitamin c, good molecules tranexamic Discoloration serum, haruharu black rice oil cleanser, toner, and bamboo mist. Also missha first essence, Benton snail + bee venom serum all combined with inkey list niacinamide, paula's choice azelic acid booster and their bha exfoliater. I have very dry skin so for moisturizer I use tatcha dewy cream when I'm not wearing makeup and clinique turnaround cream with makeup, I currently have a missha sunscreen. I know what fall and winter smells like but don't know what summer smells like so could u please describe because all I could think of was hot, wet blacktop and tar🤣
I also have the other two serums and the three of them are pretty reasonably priced on yesstyle, I think I got all three and the ginseng essence and I really like all of them. The panthenol and green tea serum is wonderful and nicely calming, and I get red easily so I use that one and the propolis and niacinamide one most often, green tea most often before sleep or when I wash my face after work, and the propolis mostly in the morning (I noticed it's usually more brightening and tacky than the green tea, so I like to use it for a fresh face at the beginning of the day). I noticed after a couple months of use, the snail mucin and ginseng repair serum has like... helped to balance my skin's oil production around my fine lines, like my smile, brow, and under-eye area. I have combo and freckled skin, but on my skin that isn't freckled I have noticed a lot more consistent pore clarity and healing of tiny hives or breakouts from wearing a mask. If I bought them again I think I would just get the repair serum and the green tea serum, but I have to stress how nice it is to have all three. After this video I'm thinking hard about buying that dynasty cream too!

I actually bought the dynasty cream and veegreen after you recommended it in a vid a few weeks or so ago - my dry skin loves it ! I started my k-beauty/skin care exploration late last year... love MediPeel, Too Cool For School (rules of mastic is amazing, Elizavecca - some of the serums are great but there a few creams that contain animal product, and my final fave is The Plant Base ! The plant based collagen ampoule is honestly one of the best things have ever used on my skin. So glad i discovered your channel... my skin is very grateful too :) xx

I personally think so. I have oily/combo skin and can only use the cream on my driest autumn/winter nights, since it can be a tad too rich for me otherwise. I think it's definitely worth a try!
