This is the best LED headlight that I have found for a moped. I use this on most of my mopeds and love it. Its 12v and works best with a battery or a capacitor to keep it from flickering at low RPMs.
If you dont have a 12V system here is a video on how to upgrade your points system easily

This headlight is sick!!! After following your simple instructions the install was plug and play. Now I can see and be seen when brapping at night. Best of all it fit perfectly into the stock cev bucket on my kitted 1978 Puch Newport. The top cutoff is also a nice bonus. Thanks bro this vid is the bees knees

I received the halo one as well.(Six months ago but actually just realized it last night when I took it out of the box and mounted it in the ring lol). So the yellow wire is just for the halo? If I connect both red and yellow to positive before the cap will it power both at the same time? Or do I need to choose between one or the other? Haha.

This set up works best on a 12v set up. With either a floating ground or a battery system. I have run it on 12v non floating grounds and been fine but there has been a small flicker at low idle. converting a 77 5 wire and 79 6 wire maxi from 6v to 12v. running points. three questions: got the treats 12v upgrade party and assuming all i need to do is replace the 12v light coil and run it thru the regulator and i'm good to go. also assuming i can swap the jeep fog light you used for my existing bucket and bypass the need to mess with my old bucket and 12v bulbs, correct? do i need a separate regulator to run LED tail and do you have recommendation? i plan to keep my brake light. i'm an electrical idiot and don't fully grasp the terms capacitor, regulator, rectifier, floating grounds..
@Corn-ped
@Corn-ped 2 года назад
Replace the coil with the treats 12v coil. Then run that thru the regulator and power all of your lights from that. You can put the LED fog light into the stock CEV bucket.

Is that bike running on a 12v ac system with just a regulator for lights? or are you running a 12v dc regulator/rectifer on the lighting circuit? just wondering if the antiflicker cap will work on AC since it's usually hooked up to car DC battery setups

Im a little stuck if you could lend some advice? I swapped the 6v coil to a 12v like your other vid. I then ran the coil wire to the trailtech, grounded the brown and mated the yellow to the coil. My question is how I should connect the taillight and headlight same as this setup here to be always on. Can i just tap it in to both leads from each light and just ground them?
