So i made two cakes for eid last month, one the regular high carb version and the other was this recipe, there were leftovers as we're only family of three. Fast forward several days later, i took a bite from the fridge. It tasted even betterrr, for a moment my heart skipped a beat because i thought ive had eaten the regular high carb one. I double checked and no, it was the keto one, using this recipe. Its that good.

Georgia Andrea I haven’t made the cake but normally coconut flour is pretty flavourless, even in a vanilla recipe but especially in chocolate

I made this cake but literally cut every ingredient in half and it's so good. I hate almond flour because the texture has ruined so many recipes for me but I gave it a try anyway. I was recommended a new Almond flour by Wellbees and I don't taste the grainy texture at all so I'm so happy. My non-keto boyfriend thinks he's going to keep eating my cake but he better go get some sugar-filled cake because keto ingredients are not cheap lol.

I made the full recipe version and the half version of this recipe. Both, tasted AMAZING! It was so soft, light, but full of flavor. I highly HIGHLY recommend trying this. Tasted both great as a cupcake too! I used Choczero's hazelnut spread as the frosting for the cupcake. SO good. Please make a strawberry short cake!

Follow the same recipe she posted minus the coffee, chocolate chips and coco powder. In place of the missing coco powder add: 1/2 cup of almond flour and 2 tbsp coconut flour. I made this last week turned out perfect. Her Cake Recipe is really the best.

I made your cake recipe for hubby's birthday. It came out beautifully! I followed your recipe exactly and my cake came out light in texture with a rich chocolate taste. Truly wonderful recipe and the buttercream frosting was so good. I will try cupcakes next time or attempt to create a German chocolate cake. @@jasneetsidhu9174 : I use Anthony’s coconut flour in all the recipes that call for I I find this brand doesn’t have the strange aftertaste that some brands have. I use Kirkland brand ultra fine ground almond flour but I sift almond flour always it really helps with a lighter texture. I follow her recipe exactly for the cake. Use fresh baking powder old powder loses its strength. I use powdered espresso powder n place of a fresh cup of coffee but have also used fresh coffee like she instructs. Asked de from all of that it bakes up very fine. I do suggest baking a practice run cake before the big day so that you are confident with the result. Oven temps vary and ambient room temps or high altitude can change the results. Baking in the summer for me and winter can change things so I suggest a practice run. All the best results!!!

Hi Andrea … Just made this chocolate cake and WOW the flavor's in this cake are superb! My only concern was how wet it was. Cooked it according to the directions and did a toothpick test and came out clean. When I turned it over peeled off the parchment paper I could actually see liquid droplets. Not sure what I did wrong ? followed the recipe to a T.

Hello! I am glad the taste way great... Yes, It is so hard when using different types of Coconut flours, some seem to absorb more moisture than others!? Maybe next time try to add an extra 1/4 cup of coconut flour or reduce coconut milk by 1/2 cup :)

yes, I always prep a day in advance and keep in the fridge wrapped in plastic wrap to keep fresh! Also, the frosting can be made in advanced too, no need to keep in the fridge, but I would recommend whipping for 5min again before icing the cake because it will not be as fluffy ;)

is the Lankato Golden Sweetener made with Erythritol? i can't find monk fruit without erythritol. Do they all come that way. Just been hearing about Monk fruit. i want to make this cake for memorial weekend the link you posted for Golden Sweetener go to classic.

You could use just coconut flour, however, it may not stay together as nicely as with almond n the mix. I would use 1/3 cup coconut flour to 1 cup almond flour!

No it won't because coconut flour is too absorbant. Your cake will turnout very dry

Hi I made this exactly the way shown. Only difference is I used swerve. My cake didn’t rise much as yours and very wet. I used 3 six inch pan and kept 50 min in oven.

Omgsh thank you for letting me know!! I will fix this right away! I used 1/2 Cup but you may use more or less depending on how chocolates you like it, the cake is very rich so I liked a bit lighter on the chocolate side 😉

it's good as far as keto goes, but still not as good as a regular chocolate cake, but I guess that is to be expected. I really try to like almond flour, but have a hard time with the texture and I used Wellbees Almond Flour.

You can, however, cooking olive oil damages the fat, making it high inflammatory... If you want to use a none flavored oil that is good with heat, I recommend avocado oil :)

I just wanted to say, olive oil makes it taste absolutely amazing and it makes it very rich. Heating it does make it inflammatory as the it doesn't take much heat to break it down, but I think the same is true for coco oil. It's something like 250 (it's smoke point). Your oven will be at 350 anyway. This is just my opinion but cake isn't something most folks eat on a weekly basis you know? Just enjoy it!
