luz didn't go back to the human realm after saving the boiling isles in watching and dreaming, she kept living in the demon realm with Eda and king at the owl house during the timeskip in the finale, and she never moved back to Gravesfield or back in with her mom, she ONLY came back to Gravesfield using the collector's portal to visit her mom and vee on weekends and on holidays, and she didn't go back to finish her education at Gravesfield high school until after she had turned 18 years old.

@@brettglover135 I’m pretty sure she said Luz finished high school in the human realm. It was the same one where she revealed Hunter was bi and Willow was pan. I guess maybe I just misunderstood what she was saying about Luz finishing high school. Sorry if I was mistaken.

@@cassandraspoelhof3752 yes the one with her saying hunter is bi and willow is pan was in fact the one right after the finale, and as I said I saw that on here, though my speakers were broke so all I had was the subtitles, but yeah no all she said in that one was luz went back to her old high school to finish her education, but that doesn't mean luz went back to live there just that she finished high school there.

An exchange program usually is two-sided, Gus is probably helping the humans in the demon realm, and Willow and Hunter kinda stick together and Hunter is probably dealing with politics shit. All the people who came over either had an interest in the human realm or some ulterior motive like Amitity wanting to be with Luz and Boscha probably wanting to dominate more sports. But that's just my guess
