The best thing about the head sculpt is that it looks like he's so incredibly ecstatic that he was made. He just looks so damn happy to exist. It's great. I love how he's not short. The original 90's Toybiz figure was very short compared to the rest and it made him look weird but this one has a much larger tank comparatively and also has the extender piece between the torso and the tank to add even more height. At first I thought the pipes were exhaust too. I mean, if they were intakes, they would've been way too close to his back. I tried to clip everything together and it wouldn't go. Then I looked closer to see what was going on and seen that those were indeed intakes and that the parts were keyed to work only one way. So I flipped the engine around and then just scratched my head as it was just so odd to see the intakes right behind him. I'm no expert and know next to nothing about these things but I do know you don't want your air intakes to be mostly blocked like that. I guess it really doesn't matter though as he's a tank and not a fast car. I haven't picked up Havoc though as I feel I already have the better version of that overall design. The canisters aren't really needed too so it works out if I never pick him up. I'll wait for him and Wolverine to go on sale and if they don't, no real loss. I feel the wave was a bit lacking in optional parts. I also don't think that Bonebreaker, Maggot, Eanie and Meanie quite make up for it. That's also not the outfit for Siryn I really wanted either.
I love how this character doesn’t look like that at all in the Logan movie. In the film, he was portrayed by Daniel Bernhard and only had some bionic replacement for his forearm (without having a Mohawk)
Maggot and this BAF are the highlights of the wave. I really like the rest of the figures, they have some problems but they are pretty good toys actually
Awesome ranking bro and I don't have any of these figures, To me ranking is.... 1. Wolverine because he is a badass X-MEN character. 2. Havok because those new power effects are freakin amazing. 3. Sabretooth tooth because he is another great Wolverine villain. 4. Maggot because he s unique while being gross lol. 5. Siryn because no screaming head but beautiful head sculpt. 6. Bonebreaker because he is a crazy bad boy. 7. Vulcan because we need more updated classic suits on characters we have already. 8.. Darwin because he is okay.
Hey Russ! If you end up really wanting a collar piece for havok, you can use one of the wrist bands like bonebreaker has. Use a hair drier to heat is up and the you can stretch it over the neck and then paint it. I did it to mine and I think it looks pretty good! Just thought I’d let you know! Great vid btw!!
I actually used the Reese head on the O.G. Marvel Legends Cable's body.. since i already have the Apocalypse wave Cable & recently picked up the latest Cable released in 2024👑
No wheels makes no sense. The wave is okay my must haves/ranking would be: 1. Maggott 2. Havok 3. Siryn 4. Bonebreaker 5. Vulcan 6. Darwin 7. Doped Up Sabretooth 8. Hot Claws Wolverine
Bonebreaker is one of those designs that is simultaneously stupid and awesome that you never forget, guy with a tank for legs, hell yeah! I didn't get this wave though, I like Bonebreaker but not enough to buy this wave, and even then I'm limited for space when it comes to displaying X-Men villains. Also bit of a weird comparison, but the Reavers to me are the equivalent of the Neo-Nazis from Breaking Bad. In Breaking Bad that group were only a major threat when the main characters ended up in a really bad situation, compared to earlier threats like Gus they were nowhere near as powerful or organized. Same goes for the Reavers in my mind, they've got nothing on say Magneto or Mister Sinister in terms of power or scale as a threat, but when the X-Men wind up in bad circumstances the Reavers prove more of a threat than they usually would.
Had to buy Bonebreaker complete from the scalpers on eBay. Luckily, his starting bid was that $50, and I managed to win him at $69 (giggity). He's a fun little action figure to have, but I'm thinking of trying to get his head and glasses alone, get a shirtless ML torso, and some jeans and sneakers, put the spider punk this on him and guitar, and have him has a custom punk rocker. 🤟🤟🤟
Heat claws are so dumb. Never read any comics where wolverine had them, do they do anything interesting aside from presumably make Wolverine uncomfortably warm and instantly cauterize wounds as he gives them? I bought some figures I wasn't excited about to finish Bonebreaker, glad I didn't need to buy him.
I didn't buy Darwin, but I am not sure that piece is even that important. I haven't started building him yet so we'll see. Almost looks like you really only need pieces 1,3,4, although I have 2 & 6 as well judging from the boxes.
8. Maggot - cool figure but I just never liked the character or his design. I would skip if I didn't want Bonebreaker. 7. Darwin - nothing really wrong with it, but I know nothing about the character and the lack of accessories is deplorable. 6. Vulcan - great new body but I have never read anything featuring him and no effect parts sucks. 5. Wolverine - my favorite character. I love the deco but I have lots of Wolverines and the Hot Claws idea is dumb. 4. Havok - I am as surprised as you are. Never really liked him or this look but this really hits my nostalgia button. 3. Siryn - Great to finally have her, though imwish it was a more common costume. No screaming head though? Lame. 2. Bonebreaker - awesome. I am just thrilled that weare slowly getting all the Reavers. 1. Sabretooth - Yes please. Mutant Massacre, Fall of the Mutants, and Inferno are where I cut my teeth.
Thanks for the reviews. I skipped this wave. I was curious about the BAF and was maybe interested in 2 of the figures, but you reviews validated my concerns. Nice thing about waves like this, since I skipped it I can save money for future releases down the line. Bad thing about waves like this is, I will eventually see some of these figures at some point hanging on pegs in the stores with the BAF parts swapped for random parts, which then makes me realize how shitty and selfish some people in the collecting community can be.
Being a pistonhead, and have spent too much of my professional life around these types of vehicles - intakes or outakes makes no difference when they are less then a foot away. Trust me. I loved your review Shartimus and the figure looks attractive, but I cannot afford the whole wave of unnecessary characters. And the only tanks I have ever seen this crisp and clean are on parade and NOT in battle.
These price bumps from Hasbro are slowly making me step away from the game. As much as I wanted to complete the Reavers, Syrin was the only figure I wanted, at $25 a figure before tax, I passed to the whole wave too. Only wanted Syrin and Bonebreaker, if that wave had Wolfsbane and Ferral, I would've considered it but damn... Days of collecting to me are numbered.
Video felt very rushed like you had better things to do and didn't want to spend too much time. I mean dude that's your job now, I realize you got kids to take care of and so on but if it's work you have to put more effort into it... That being said I did liked the Australian background you used with the rotating base 🙂
[6:33] DAMN SHARTIMUS!!! You wanna take TANKY - BOY out on a date first before you get SOOOO HANDSY with him??? Lololol....IM JOKIN BRO-CHACHO.... TUFF CROUD 😬 🥲 😬 TUFF CROUD 😬 🥲... Edit: "forward & back like a pile driver" that movement was the BEST BY FAR!!!!
