Kewpie is not even close to Blue Plate! Kewpie should loose against Hellman's, Blue Plate, and several others as it is just that nasty. One sandwich and I had to throw the whole bottle away along with only two bites of the sandwich! This is how bad Kewpie is!!!!!

Kewpie has a weird aftertaste. I actually prefer the Shirakiku brand mayo to Kewpie. Kewpie is easier to get where I live though.

Kewpie is worse than Duke's, JFG, the Kroger Brand and all others... not lying I bought a jar based on your comment, and had to throw away my sandwich and the whole jar... that is how so so so nasty it tasted! But Blue Plate is the best, sorry Kewpie is just so so so so so so gross and nasty, I threw away my 4 bucks immediately! Never ever ever buy this nasty tasting thing! I so so so hate Duke's, it is just so so nasty, and when I moved from GA to the Carolina's and people said, only Duke's I tried it.. only to be so so repulsed.... Blue Plate rocks!

This is the comparison I want to know about out of these 3. The south is fighting on who’s better. I want to know how they’re different.

@@mzmaryd6452 Duke's (the Carolinas) has a vinegary edge to it. Whereas Hellman's has a more eggy edge to it. Blue Plate (Lousiana) is like Duke's but more neutral. Heinz is what Chick-fil-a uses and it's good too. Kraft Real Mayonnaise is also good. Since Im a Southerner, i use Duke's and Blue Plate. Maybe Duke's is slightly better for cold cuts and potato salad (savory) and Blue Plate is slightly better for cole slaw and Waldorf salads, but that's splitting hairs.

Blue Plate>Dukes>Hellmanns>Bama>dog shit>Kraft

As a kid my parents always bought Kraft . As a teen l gravitated to Hellmann's and have been a fan for 40 years . l haven't tried Duke's but l am going to give it a go and l just had 2 bottles of Kewpie delivered that l will be investigating on my own terms . Can't believe that l have never tried McCormick but l will have to grab a jar .

I know Hellmann's is the most popular mayo , and it's what my dad bought growing up . But l MUCH prefer Kraft or Dukes , and even some store brands over it . I went to a friends house growing up and his mom used Kraft tasted 10 times better than used chunk light , and my dad bought solid fancy albacore in water . That's when l knew that Hellmann's was done in my eves . It's been Kraft ever since .

I best he bought all of those with foodstamps .

Gordon Ramsay has a great Mayo Recipie, and of course it will taste better than preservatives.... Anyway, a few years ago, I saw a segment about a mayo taste test on America's test kitchen, and Blue Plate was ranked number one. For some reason, I couldn't find that particular video to watch again to find out where Hellman's or Best foods finished, but I would bet the farm that it didn't come in last. I also don't remember if Duke's, (which I never tried) was included, but a lot of people rank it very high. Hellman's may, or may not have come in behind Dukes. Regardless, all three need to be on the top shelf when it comes to mayo brands.
