People saying hummus isn’t it, I’m telling yall it’s only cause you had mediocre hummus. Good hummus is flavorful and smooth with unlimited amount of variations for toppings like roasted red peppers or fresh herbs, I’m telling you it’s such a huge difference. Makes even the most bland things like carrots or brócoli into an addictive snack, let alone fresh pita or crunchy pita.
The logo is the aleppo citadel, so its definitely syrian. The food this guy ordered is not syrian though, they are from other countries in the mediterranean.

Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Balkan food is my absolute favourite. A good hunk of grilled meat, some simple bread, some yogurt based sauce and lots of vegetables and rice. Honestly the GOAT combo
Arabs have such an amazing culture and food, and healthy high protein heart healthy full of fiber and vitamins. It just breaks my heart how much discrimination there is against them just cause their countries are oil and gas rich. propaganda is set up in the media against them to justify stealing from them and killing them, it happened in iraq syria and now palestine. I pray the world softens and allow these beautiful people to live.

If you ever travel to the middle east, everyone should try the grilled food out there. It is way better and the portion sizes are way better. It depends, but most of the time if you go to the middle eas the lower middle-class neighbourhoods the portion sizes are way better and will be cheaper. In America, Arabic food always comes in smaller portions and the prices are insane along with the flavor that doesn't hit the same way. This is my two cents on just giving some idea on the level of middle eastern grilled food.
Take the shanks home put a lot of spices on them and fry them on a pan maybe you could've made them taste good. I only eat rotisserie lamb and no food comes even close.
I always thought packeged hummus isnt my taste, thats why I preferre hummus made by restraunts, then again im levantine and live in Jordan, here we have restraunts that sell only hummus, flafel, and foul almost in every nieborhood 😂 there is a reason why they only sell one thing (breakfast menue)
you received some weird recommendations for St. Louis. Not sure what these people were thinking, but there are so many great places to eat, but I would not have chosen any of the one's you went to.
Also i like Medina for their Mediterranean sandwiches in STL but that's in the city. My plates ain't right enough to be driving out in Creve Coeur (& yes, u said it right or at least thats how we say it in Da Lou,)
If you think its burnt to us as middle easterners in egypt it perfectly cooked haha so thats why it could have been hella roasted for you but for us perfectly cooked you can find other resturants doing meat the foreigner way

That second food is not called kufta its a persian koobideh style but its made without chicken the whole plate is persian that salad is called shirazi salad
Idk if that was your first attempt at pronouncing Creve Coeur, but if so, great job. StL has an abundance of French names for towns and streets. Creve Coeur I believe translates to "broken hearted"

@@ExtremeMedium The right one is like how you pronounce the "e" in the word Czech in English, "Crev", and "coeur" is somewhat close to the last syllable of "master" but with a "c" instead of "st".
