The Best Mod for Your MK6 GTI for UNDER $50 

Hi guys! Hannah Kennedy here - Cam’s wife! I don’t usually weigh in on a lot of TPLM because we’re both so busy working full-time, money-paying jobs to financially secure us. First of all, Cam is an INCREDIBLE husband and provider for our family. For you to say we “can’t afford” things is assuming a lot about us and our income. We make more then $50 a month, but thank you for your concern. Secondly, Cam impresses ME with his hard work, passion, & love for cars and this community. So if he has one big fan and cheerleader who is impressed with him keeping a job, loving his wife, and doing this RU-vid, it’s me. I can’t wait to share it and watch it back with our future kids. And finally, congrats on being financially secure, OpenCarry. I hope you’re able to not just be that, but I hope you teach your family the importance of being nice to people. I’ve heard before if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all. Maybe go buy yourself some etiquette lessons with all your money.

thanks for the recommendation. Bought a mk6 a few months ago and so far I've done the mods that affect daily drivability. Lowered, short shifter, and a adjustable clutch stop. I think this mod will go nicely with what im trying to do with the car. Next will be a unitronic intake and diverter valve relocation, throttle pipe and downpipe+resonator.

Fully agree with you on the simple/cheapest approach to mods, and it is very difficult to beat drivetrain related improvements on a FWD car. Due to the shifter & mounting methods on a transversal engine there is a a lot that is left on the table as manufacturers have to make sure to neutralize as much as they can the NVH for the normal drivers., so you cant go wrong with any improvement be it on engine mounts or shifter bushings to significantly improve the feeling you get to them albeit sacrificing marginal comfort levels. Keep it up !

Why are you spending money you cant afford to spend on a depreciating asset? It's just a car that isn't impressing anyone. Its a necessary expenditure and your end goal should be to spend the least amount as possible for transportation. Focus on your family by creating a secure future for them through appreciating assets.
