A few moments I think you overlooked since you have a bit of a villain fixation. - Ezra getting his kyber crystal was wonderful, yoda’s presence made it even better. - Ashoka kicking the inquisitor’s ass - Hera flying a freaking B-wing - Zeb and Kallus bonding, understanding each other in that ice planet - Rex killing droids again, then working together with droids to kill imperials. - Ezra finding out about his parents death. Also his growth as a Jedi and as a person overall was so well paced.

You missed one great one from the very beginning- when Kanan opens the Holocron to listen to Obi-Wan’s message from ROTS. That scene and the music set the tone of the show for me as 100% Star Wars.
@umainebearman

That moment is even better if you red the book "A New Dawn". Obi wan has a Q&A with a group of younglings and tells them about the message that jedis at the temple can send out to recall all the jedi. A young Kanaan asks if the message can me modified to warn the jedi away from the temple which is what Obi Wan does in ROTS.

I would have to say my favorite moment in the series was Kanan vs Sabine at the end of "Trial of the Darksaber". The episode as a whole wasn't just a character development moment for Sabine, but you also see Kanan himself grow during it as well, and the ending scene really puts both of them on full display. Sabine finally opened up, revealing the secret that had be eating away at her for the whole series. Kanan started the episode with a strict idea of what fighting with a lightsaber was like, but in that final session, he instead encouraged her to use all her skills as a Mandalorian. Toss onto this, he was baiting an emotional response from Sabine... he sensed that there was something lying underneath, and brought it to the surface, and prompting her to express it, facing it and owning up to it. This is when I really started to understand that Kanan is nothing like the Jedi Order that he came from. It was such an emotionally charged moment that I now consider it my favorite Star Wars moment, and Kevin Kiner's score during this scene... I am willing to hold it up there in as high regard as anything that John Williams has written. "You ran from the Empire, you ran from your family!" "LIES!" "Then whats THE TRUTH!" I have to say, Filoni's decision to animate this scene to the studio recordings rather than the traditional method of directing the recording to match the animation really paid off in that scene.

this scene was the one that broke me. Before, I had only been watching for Ahsoka but once she had "died" in season 2, i didnt have much motivation to keep watching the show. But these episodes focusing on Sabine, and this scene specifically, they sold on the entire show. I felt her frustration, her vulnerability in her confession that she did everything to save her people. It's my second favorite moment in the entire show, just behind Ahsoka vs Vader.
@JonathanMCook

Funny you mentioned that Sokolniki, I'm at the point I don't care if it's only in Burbank. I will fly out to see this conception. I want a Star Wars concert set in the AV format of VGL, FF, and Zelda. The first half has Kevin Kiner conducting all his best scores: Music used in Trials of the DarkSaber, Twilight of the Apprentice, Legends of the Lasat, The Mortis Gods (TCW), That Raiders of the Lost Ark score from Wolves at the Door, etc. ::intermission:: The second half has John Williams walking out with Kevin handing him the batton followed by fanboy standing ovation. As soon as everyone quiets and checks sound, first up is the main Star Wars theme, followed by all the A-list stuff: Imperial March, Sunset Horizon, Raye's theme, naturally Leia's theme = lots of fangirls crying, etc. Then comes the encore. Both Williams and Kiner walk back on stage, each one goes to a small podium on opposite ends of the stage, and that's when you hear it..the first beats of "Duel of Fates" done by dueling conductors. On screen is everything imaginable: Asoka vs. Vader, Luke vs. Kyo Ren, Obi-won/Qui Gon vs. Maul, Raye & Kyo Rin, etc. etc. Yeah, we're talking serious coin here even for the cheap seats but I'll be happy to pay for it.

My favorite episode is "The Last Battle" mostly because of the nostalgia of the Clone Wars series. It gives a nice little conclusion of sorts to that series with who actually won the clone wars between Captain Rex and General Kalani. In the end they both realize that were played and work together against a greater enemy. It also provides the question that while Kalani was unsure that the Rebellion can defeat the Empire it could change after the destruction of the Death Star and put his faith into the Rebellion along with finding a new purpose to his existence just like Rex has

This show's ability to create and develop characters that draw you in and keep you coming back because you CARE about them is phenomenal for an animated series. Cameron Pearce Totally forgot that somehow, thanks for the reminder! Maul was always intriguing (especially in Rebels) because you never quite knew what he was gonna do. I love how "Twin Suns" finishes the image of Maul being mirror image of Obi-Wan, both lost everything, but while Obi-Wan embraced light side and had glorious purpouse (Protecting Luke) Maul single purpouse was to kill Obi-Wan. I like how in the end Maul said "He will avenge us!" the moment he died he realised that it was not Obi-Wan who was his enemy, it was Palpatine. Luke will avenge "Us" both Maul and Obi-Wan...

one of my faves that is a less obvious one is obi wan's message from the holocron. i just think it serves as a great initial bridge between clone wars and rebels. a message from an old friend that our newly introduced jedi receives and its one that applies to kanan's arc (not just in the show but in his comic as well). kanan has to learn to trust in himself, others and the force overcoming many challenges and doubts. he has to learn how to fight for an uncertain future because his work will one day allow a new hope for the galaxy to win the day even if he doesn't live to see it.

Great choices Alex! One episode I really like is "The Honorable ones". The episode that showed us that Kallus is a multidimentional character and esp the silent moment at the end where he is alone in his room and he realises that no one in the empire cared if he was dead or alive and he really is alone.

Thrawn deducing who Hera was then stunning Ezra was probably one of my favorite scenes because it showed Thrawn’s ability to decipher art and anticipate his enemies. Though, as another commenter said, Vader saying “Then you will die braver than most” is up there too. Also the unmasked Vader and Ahsoka’s fate were great because it tied the show directly with clone wars characters.

Boy, I think my favorite moment was the defeat of Thrawn, and how poetic it was to see the Purgil forcing the Chimera to hyperspace. And boy, how I love the Inquisitor's introduction to Kanan and Ezra as he enters that cell. Also I find the escape from Atollon and the hope everyone has while the star destroyers try to blow up the remaining rebels just beautiful.

I would've added reaching Lirasan through the star cluster. The music in that scene was amazing. Ahsoka fighting the inquisitors in Future of the Force, Obi-Wan's holocron warning message, Saw Gerrera (like everything of him), the episode with Kalani and the battle droids, all of Rukh, and everything with the Loth Wolves.

Who said Star Wars Rebels was bad? It took risks that were rewarded with. Heck, more than half of the things in the show are inspired by past shows and movies, such as practically 50% of Rebels having something to do with Clone Wars, be it from Ashoka, Rex, Darth Maul, Obi-Wan, overall a great show. The Ghost crew was also a very unique group. It kind of reminded me of Mass Effect, how each character had a unique quality. Hera is the pilot and deadly skilled behind the controls of a star fighter, to the point where if anyone takes her down they are dangerously good. Sabine is the tech expert and is a skilled marksman, as well as being Mandalorian, which adds to that. Zeb is the brute of the group, and the fact he has a magnaguard staff like weapon is simply awesome. Kanen was also a good character, as he was a Jedi from before the Purge, and so didn't trust clones, but during season 2 he learns more about himself and grows up in a way. And Ezra was the glue that held the group together. As the show went on he grew up and learnt the ways of the Force, and eventually he made the ultimate sacrifice. A great show with a great cast. And beautiful references.

There were a LOT of great moments in this series, but the one moment that defined the story for me, more than anything else, was in the very first episode, "I'm about to let everyone in on the secret". That one line summed up everything that would come, not just in Rebels, but the original trilogy as well. The Light had not fallen and it's champions would still stand up. That's the core of everything from Rise of the Empire on, and was an incredibly powerful opening climax for the series.

Job well done @Star Wars Explained. Those are all among my favorite episodes as well. To add to it, a few of my favorite Thrawn moments occurred in Season 4. First in Flight of the Defender. I love his response to Ezra waving at him in the Tie Fighter yard and he simply but effectively says “Curious.” Then I really like his strategic thinking to allow the Rebels to steal the Tie Defender in order to flight test its capabilities. Then his power of deduction to determine that Ezra was piloting the Tie Defender with his “meager skills”, a real LOL moment, that Sabine was the one responsible for disabling the tracking device in “record time”, and that their Tie Interceptor pilots would not have survived that long if Hera had been piloting the Tie Defender, a real nod of respect to a quality foe and pure Thrawn...the better the foe, the better Thrawn becomes. Second, was in Jedi Night when he was interrogating Hera. Third was in Dume when Thrawn admonished Governor Pryce for destroying the fuel depot thus ending Thrawn’s Tie Defender program, “I will deal with you upon my return” was a chilling statement and the tension of that moment was palpable. Honestly, I was hoping for a different ending for Thrawn than what we got, but it is satisfying that Dave Filoni confirmed that both Thrawn and Ezra survived the jump to hyperspace, which opens up many possibilities for future content. Whatever their story becomes, Filoni is the only one I trust to get it right! Thanks @Star Wars Explained, your channel is excellent.

Favorite moment of all time in rebels and maybe even all of Star Wars was when Ashoka and Vader has their reunion. The light saber duel was epic, and so emotional. You could really tell when Ashoka saw his real face how much she missed him and how dark he had become because he would kill her if could in a heartbeat. Very exiting, emotional, and amazing scene. And it was continuing the story of two beloved characters. Best scene in rebel’s and one of the best scenes in Star Wars of all time 👏🏻👏🏻

This show was honestly amazing and although it will cause butthurt, I think Rebels might have just edged TCW in my mind... Both were amazing, and TCW was great for showing many different stories within a war, developing characters in the prequels, and ofc changing the storyline of the whole films in some cases (Yoda knew about Order 66 beforehand), but hands down Rebels has more outstanding *moments* like was addressed in this video, as well as fitting the traditional storyline of a series - introducing new characters and loving them and their journeys, rather than the route TCW had to take.

I guess I will go with a top 5 scenes in the series for me: 5. Obi Wan checks on Luke "Twin Suns" 4. Kanan's sacrifice "Jedi Night" 3. the entire World between Worlds sequence "A world between worlds" 2. Ashoka fights Darth Vader "Twilight of the Apprentice" and Finale Montage "Farewell" 1. Sabine's dual with Kanan "Trials of the Dark Saber" My number one is specifically because it was the only time in the series I teared up. The "Sabine's Theme" music or Kevin Kiner and superb acting by Tiya Sircar as Sabine Wren and Freddie Prinze Jr. as Kanan along with the context in that scene cements it as my favorite Rebels moment.

Rebels has a lot of moments I loved! And one you didn't mention and I think is underrated. Is in S3 at the begginning, after Kannan talks to the bendu and Kannan goes back to Ezra. That scene of Ezra falling to the Dark, to his own destruction, but still in a place he can be reach with Kannan giving his hand with the light behind him trying to save Ezra from keep falling is fascinating. Kanana: Ezra! I'm right here! Ezra: Kannan!. I can't! I can't reach you! Is too far! Kanna: It's ok! I got you! Go ahead! Let... Go... The "Let Go" plus the music is a clear sign that the scene is not Just Kannan saving Ezra from the falling station, but from Falling deeper to the Dark. Short, maybe subtil, but amazing. And with a lot more meaning that it seems at first sight. There was people who felt that Ezra dealing with the dark side should least longer, and in a way, maybe. But Ezra was never simply tempted, he was using the Holocrom to *Do Good* he was trapped in the past blaming himself for what happened to Ashoka and Kanan, he thought he wasn't strong enough and he would never let his friends get hurt again. Ezra wasn't that far from the light yet, his heart was still in the right place, he was still where he can be reach, and Kannan reach him before it was too late. Of curse with Ezra choosing to Let Go. He could just let himself keep falling, he could let himself not letting go. But he choos to go back to Kannan, to hear his master and be back to the light. But is not until the next episode that Ezra took the finale decision. When they got the Sith Holocrom and Kanan give it to him saying "If you think it can help us against Maul oepen it" and even When Ezra daubted for a second he said "No"
