True. He was an exceptionally awful human being, which is particularly hard to pull off in Peep Show, where everybody is disgusting. To be able to stand out in that crowd, that takes a level of nastiness not many of can sink to. I mean, he's worse than Jeff. I mean, Jeff! Jeff? You did it with Jeff?! Johnson is even worse than Jeff. That's talent, that is.

Season 1 of Peep Show consisted of 167 episodes, beginning in March of 1982 and running continuously through to "The Berlin Wall falls" special in November 1989. Robert Webb joined David Hasselhof live where he performed This is Outrageous. Peep SHow became the most popular television show in Germany from Season 2 onwards, getting an average 95 million viewers per episode

Like many sitcoms, s2 is a significant improvement on s1.

Actually, scientific studies have shown the improvement of s2 over s1 was not statistically significant.

I still prefer S1. I know objectively season 2 is probably better and there’s obvious quality improvements but season 1 just looks more realistic and it actually feels like you’re the character when they do the pov cause the camera is literally on the top of their head.

@@williamcooper8599 I agree, I prefer S1. In fact S1 is probably my favourite from the whole show. I kind of like that it's more lofi. I remember watching it when it premiered (late night on C4) and it definitely felt quite underground and edgy. Towards the end of PS (actually, more like halfway through) it felt like just another sitcom. S1 was exciting because you didn't really know what direction the show was going to go
