34 YEARS, 119 GAMES, IT HAS FINALLY HAPPENED! A PERFECT GAME THROWN BY A SEATTLE MARINER, IT WAS DONE BY THE KING! as a baseball fan that is the second best call ive ever heard. the only one that beats that is when my favorite team the cubs won the World Series
I remember that call by Kevin Harlan on a fan running into the field. For further context, that game was one of the most boring football games ever hence why Kevin exclaiming "That was the most exciting thing to happen tonight" made it that much better. 😂
"DROGBAAAAAAA!" "Milner. Lovely cushioned header. AND GERRARD!" "OH YOU BEAUTY! What a hit son. What a hit!" "Hello, hello, here we go!" "Vardyyyy! It's eleven, it's HEAVEN for Jamie Vardy! Hold the back page, hold the front page, the Leicester player has smashed the record! What a moment in Premier League history, in Leicester's history!"
@@captain_e1052 You know Joe Buck was practicing that for days before and had it up his sleeve just waiting for the chance to say it bc it's already a famous line
How the heck does this list NOT include...? Larry Allen's rundown "Down goes Frazier!", and "He is moving like a tremendous machine!" (Secretariet's Belmont) Those, plus "Do you believe in miracles?" are my Mt. Rushmore of sports calls.
The Capitals Radio call in 2018 when they beat the penguins in Game 6 Overtime to move on to the third round should be an honorable mention. That is one of my favorite calls ever, honestly.
Secretariat winning "...and DOWN the stretch they come!!!" Jack Buck calling Gibson's pinch hit homer: "I don't believe... what I just saw!" Vin Scully, same play. Anything from Chick Hearn who invented 90% of modern basketball talk. The final 92 seconds of ND-USC 2005 by Pete Arbogast. Allyson Felix winning 3 golds in London great calls by the UK TV guys. Cal-Stanford.
If there’s one call that I think was missed it has to be Mike Joys call when Dale Earnhardt won the Daytona 500, probably one of the most iconic calls in nascar, that and of course the Donnie Allison and Cale Yarborough fight call by Ken Squire
“The 2-2 pitch, strike 3! 34 years, 119 games, it has finally happened! A perfect game by a Seattle Mariner, and it was done by king Felix!” Has to be one of my favorite calls for my favorite team.
Joe Buck's "This is gonna be a tough play! Bryant! The Cubs! Win the World series!!" is one of his best calls, and I mean that without any disrespect. Simple but exciting.
The thing thats cool about the cubs is they were not celebrating all about them winning the world series but also they were celebrating the wait of the World Series championship for the cubs too like they were fans of the team
For the Minnesota Miracle play, you should listen to the Minnesota Radio announcer version, it is way better than Joe Buck and you can even here them screaming from the other booth in the clip in this video at 8:18. Paul Allen is a legend.
