having tried many brands of no show socks that fall off almost immediately after putting on, i took your advice and splurged a little on the bombas no shows. and they are fantastic! they actually do stay on all day!!!
I remember also tucking in long crew socks. Thank goodness for no-shows. Although, I have to say I hate how they look without shoes. Lol. It just makes me feel like I'm wearing ballet slippers.
This is the absolute best men’s fashion channel on RU-vid. Nobody else provides this level of genuine brand advice. Very nice knowing that whenever I need to buy a certain piece of clothing I can turn to this channel to find the best option.
Don’t wish to sound offensive, I am an HCP in orthopaedics and notice you have a marked bunion on the left foot. Keep an eye on that because you may need some surgical correction at some point, hope it doesn’t cause you pain!
Too narrow shoes is the problem. The bunion can be reversed without surgery, but it takes effort to do so. Routine use of toe spreaders and more time barefoot (or at least less toe constriction) is required. Eliminating the use of too narrow shoes would be ideal.

I'm always amazed at why their are different colors and patterns of no show socks when they are essentially "no show" socks. I just get black , grey or tan ones.
I cannot understand why (🤷🏽♂️) you do not have your own style Network. You are hands-down (👐🏽) the most comprehensive and thorough person on RU-vid! I would be remiss not to add that you are so easy on the eyes as well 😉
Jon, this is incredible! The amount of research and work you put into these videos is honorable. I've only had one good pair of no shows and that is from 2(x)ist. They're pretty good but like I said, I don't have much to compare them to.
Im digging American Eagle liner socks. Though they are not as low cut as intended. (which was fine for me) Reasonably priced and especially with holiday pricing and rewarding redemption.

I completely agree with you regarding Bombas. You have omitted Invisisox purchased through Amazon and my absolute favorites, Stance. The ones to stay away from are by Sperry.

Jon, thanks for the video. Over the past couple months I have spent quiet a few bucks trying to get some reliable no-show sock. The always slip of my heel and roll up in my sneakers. I've tried CK, Stanz, and FOTL. I sure will give Bombas a try. Thanks for the info.
first, why some dudes who are sneakers freaks or in men’s fashion don’t feature your sock selection. it’s like a taboo. i’m glad you did it. i love wearing the slipper version of the socks. those are socks that hang over your toes only like the bombas. i don’t care. they are socks! here’s a tip for socks that fall off the heel. use elmer’s glue stick and run a film along your heel and it sticks!!

I’ve had a good experience with Uniqlo @ 3 for 9.90, I’ve gotten my season of wear through them and should be in your honorable mentions. Weren’t great for cushioning as they’re paper thin but I hate it when there’s additional cushioning in my loafers/leather sneakers

I use foot powder with no socks whatsoever. Sometimes the top of no-show socks is visible and that really bothers me. Foot powder keeps your feet and shoes smelling nice and reduces chafing at the heel. Try it.
I might have bought my falke invisible no shows 1 size smaller. It doesn’t slip off if I wear it w/ running shoes/ sneakers, but it does w/ loafers and prolonged use hurts my toes. The uniqlo 1 size fits all no show socks are more comfortable and doesn’t slip off which is why I think I bought the wrong size falke no shows.
I find the whole idea of no-show socks to be moot. I use terry cloth or rigid honeycomb shoe insoles, the latter available in Japanese 100 yen stores. Very breathable. removable for washing, and you’re never constantly readjusting your socks when they slip off the heel.
"No-show shocks to be moot" now that's an interesting well debatable topic of discussion or either an issue with semantics. As "Gentleman" we can definitely have a healthy & productive debate. What (🤷🏽♂️) say you?
I’ve also been curious to try some of the cedar wood inserts. I don’t usually wear no shows with my loafers but will wear with some non-leather lined sneakers. 🤷🏻♂️

I will never not wear no show socks. I just don't like the idea of my barefoot inside a shoe. It's the same reason I'll never go without an undershirt. I just don't like the feeling.
Hey Jon, what was your experience with Stance? I haven't tried as many brands as you show here, but from what I have tried, Stance works perfectly on my feet and stays up without fail.
thought they were okay but for basically the same price Bombas fabric was better. I see Stance and Pair of Thieves praised a lot, but nothing I’d say to stay away from
Great video! I will have to try Bombas. I currently have been using invisasox which are pretty decent. I have used ninja sox but did not care for them because they were way to thick in my opinion.
I have used Bombas. Better because of the long staples egyptian cotton. Could be even better if they did not have the extra cushioning-which is not appropriate for the beneficial health of the foot. A MD specializing in this area of the human anatomy could explain why. Also there is no need for an arch support on any sock. Again a MD could explain why. The back tab on the Bombas could be a little shorter. Overall, I find Bombas sock better, and definitely much more confortable than others I have tried over the recent years. Regardless of price. And more beautiful.
Can you tell Bombas to make a version between the regular no-show and the ultra-low no show... the ultra-low is unnecessarily low for most men's loafers (thinking the Fear of God Seventh Collection Loafers or their Zegna collaboration).
Great video as always. Thanks. I only wear merino wool crew socks from brands such as Smartwool and Icebreaker. Just curious if you had any experience with no shows made of wool or a wool blend? I find their wicking capability superior to cotton.
The Smartwool no shows fall down so I would avoid that brand. Bombas have a merino wool version but I don't know how they compare with their regular no shows.
What's your opinion on ESNTLS no show socks? I'm fairly new to no shows. The first pair I tried I went cheap with Walmart and regret it instantly when I put it on. Never did it actually stay on while on my feet for more than two steps. I tried the ESNTLS and they worked well for me.
Yes! I have a pair but their “one size” really didn’t fit me and made my big toes hurt 🙃 Plus after 2 washes they were fraying more than others so they get the Kav Cold Shoulder here
Did you try the Sperry's no show socks? They've been working well for me, they aren't always super comfortable, though. I'd be interested to see how they stack up to see if I should upgrade my sock game or just stick with these.
I followed the Modest Man's advice last year and went with a three pack of Stomper Joe's from Amazon for $12. They are cotton, stay up without any issues and have held together very well through many washings. I'd be curious to know if those came across your radar since they were Brock's budget pick in a blog post from a year or two ago.

Great video idea John, really enjoying the podcast as well. A qualm I had was that you didn’t show the socks with the shoes because there’s a myriad of cuts for no show socks. I hate it when too much shows out the top of the forefoot and can be seen if I wear tassel loafers. Just a thought, keep up the great work!
I got to say, ESNTLS were not that bad. Definitely stays up, thin for a nice snug shoe BUT it’s not thick enough for a sneaker. That’s probably the only down fall for me... oh and if you sweat then you are doomed lol.✌🏼
Oh, also, I'll second that people should stay away from Richer Poorer, I wore them and they left horrible marks and cut into the top of my foot so much that I had scars on both feet for a couple months.
Aaah, I bought the Uniqlo ones two days ago. In any case, its a challenge for me to get the other brands like bombas since I am from Canada and most of these guys will charge me shipping + duties.
I've got a new republic no show sock and it doesn't stay up very well. I tried it on and walked in the house it was okay, I put my white sneakers on and was leaving and they fell down.
Have you tried Invisasox? I want to see what you think about it. Also Most of these socks are for regular size. I wish they had smaller socks for smaller men's feet.
