UFC 229 was a testament. The man got his ass beat into submission. KOs are cool but there is something about a man making another give up & taking his soul. Sure Conor is entertaining. But that means nothing when you are apologizing in the cage while getting your ass beat. When Conor got caught with that right in the second round he knew he was fucked. I was there and still have my ticket and bet slip. Didn’t even cash it in. There was so much internal joy seeing all of Conor’s fans upset and crying. And me walking thru the arena looking them in there eyes full of sadness. In the fourth round there was a girl three rows above me that said “stand up and fight!” Referring to Khabib beating the shit out of Conor. My response to her and her emotional significant other I believe was simply, “tell Conor to get him off”. When they did stand Khabib got the best shot of the night.
