A video compilation of Hell's Kitchen's world famous maitre d', Jean-Philippe Susilovic, from Season 1 of Hell's Kitchen UK. I was only able to find episodes 1-9, so there are probably some clips of him in episodes past 9 that are not included here. A big thanks to Sweetyflypie and SeventhRepublic for uploading the original videos (sorry about the quality, these videos were very hard to find and these were the way they came originally). Credits go to ITV Studios.
I made this video because I am a huge fan of JP and wanted to share some of his best moments with other JP fans. Hoping he returns to HK soon, it hasn't been the same without him!

Nara Medusa - The US shows that star him basically go out of their way to highlight his outbursts and downplay everything else. The UK shows present it much more authentically.

This is the UK version?! Why haven't I heard of it before! It's wonderful! Gordon is far more passive aggressive than straight up atomic, and the narrator is so deliciously sarcastic

We don't talk about. That. Ramsay infamously disliked that one because they forced him to use UK celebs instead of actual chefs. Also eliminations were done by phone vote. Thankfully a few USA producers saw this and offered him the USA version and accepted it on the condition it was done what it was ORIGINALLY INTENDED. He left the UK original after the first series and died from there.

The UK version is about running a restaurant. The US version is mainly about weeding out the weak chefs through insults and thinning the herd until we find the best of the best.

Just some of my favourite moments: 3:10 - "you're so fucking good looking when you smile" JP "yes Gordan. I know" 3:46 - adorable pout 4:00 - him being dragged into the kitchen looks like a kid about to be told off by their parent 6:50 - adorable smile 7:20 - wish they did more of these little "interview" type things on HKUSA 12:06 & 13:02 - he definitely seems to pay more attention and perk up whenever people start talking to him in French 🖤 13:05 - "shit" *immediately covers his mouth in shame* can this man get more adorable?!🖤🖤 19:09 - he's just trying to be respectful and Gordan's just ripping him for it 🤣 19:12 - adorable smile🖤🖤

Poor Jean-Philippe, he's cute though. And I think his is unflappable expression in the face of Gordon is the best xD Chefs should learn from him. And Gordon doesn't seem to be as harsh with his chefs here than in US version, although he's pretty harsh on Jean-Philippe.

U.K. version seems more like a documentary, no drama no yelling great sounding their accent , I can listen to this like music , this video goes hard !! Hahahahaha!! , the U.K dishes seem way harder than the U.S does that mean we are just dumber ...

I thought the same thing- the UK version is way less dramatized than US. I like that they don't have Jaws-esque music playing in every scene and they focus more on the food than drama. The contestants actually work as a team instead of fighting with each other. Granted Gordon is nicer here because these aren't pro chefs, but still. US Season 10 has got to be the worst crop of contestants yet.

Ahhh thank you for this video, I’m also a fan of JP, a great respect for him and anyone in the industry for enduring so much and still managing to smile to the customers I really like the small “interview” when we get a bit more insight of him and the job, wish the US version had a bit more of that In the UK version we got the see JP more relaxing and smiles more, in the US ver HK he always seems to tense

I just found out the "coughing major" bit was actually some guy who committed fraud on the UK Who Wants to Be A Millionaire. If you click on the link above (where it says This video is a response to...) you can see the same guy. That was where the joke about the cough drop came from. He trained in France with French chefs who were like 10 times harder than him, so of course he had to learn French quick otherwise he'd be out of a job, and stuck in France with no idea what the hell is going on.
