I feel that it needs to be mentioned: the guy in the thumbnail is Feliks Zemdegs, and he's actually the goat, having achieved over 100 world records, and basically dominating 3x3 from 2009 to 2020.
This is in response to the question about the moths and lights. Scientists recently discovered that moths navigation systems are actually disrupted by lights. Moths naturally turn their backs to luminaries, such as the moon. It turns out, that when footage of moths flying around a light is slowed down, their backs are too the light. Essentially, moths and other flying insects are trapped in a horror show in which their own navigation systems cause them to keep reorienting in a circling of death. RU-vidr Anton Petrov recently released a video covering the scientific research on this and it is titled "We were completely wrong about why bugs are attracted to lights."
“Turns back to” no they want to use the moon and sun as points of orientation. It isn’t always the brightest thing it can orient with and therefore attempts to fly straight and subconsciously is correcting to be “straight”
@@thelibrariansupermanny a layman should be able to understand, orientate and Straight. Otherwise I’m scared for them doing any job that is more than walk here place down.
3:00 Robin didn't learn about the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny... :( It literally opens with describing Godzilla as "hopping around" WHY ROBIN WHY
I've never met a WoW player who would forgive you for being a newbie. I was invited to a dungeon run by a friend of a friend because they couldn't find a tank, and I happened to be playing my warrior. Friend of friend seemed to forget that warriors spec differently for certain roles. I was specced for arms and had never even tried to tank. I told him this. He says it's fine, it's easy, just do all this instead of what you're used to doing. So I moved things around and changed armor and all that, we went in, and wiped in the second mob. This guy gave me an absolute lashing with words, lots of them four letters. Never did it again. Had one veteran player who was really cool to me though. He helped me because a player of the opposite faction and much higher level was camping my corpse in contested territory. He killed the guy and escorted me to my faction's town and invited me to his guild, which was dedicated to helping new players. Because of him, after I got better and upped my crafting, I would hang around starter towns and give new players a mooncloth bag and one or two gold.(Yes, I realize I probably helped a lot of people just making an alt or something, don't kill my buzz.😅)
4:14 1. Give Kong the Harambe skin. 2. Trade out the bombshell blonde Kong kidnaps. Make it so Korambe is saving a small child from Godzilla instead. 3. Kong still loses. Ending shot of passed out child on the palm of the still giant, Godzilla roaring in triumph. Tear streaked, mostly dressed military lead a screaming charge. Fade out with "to be continued" Let the rage flow, let the eyes roll. Call Michael Bay, he's gonna owe me money.
58:49 basically moths use the moon/sun as direction and point their wings toward it, but when a brighter source of light appears they use that as a new direction and attempt to keep the top of their body pointing towards the light.
05:41 the big problem with nuclear energy is that you can't get rid of the waste, unfortunatly we can't do it like Josh in satisfactory and stuff the waste into a lizard doggo and yeet them into the void
The issue with this thinking it ignores how lil waste there is. Strip mining for coal causes way more damage for the environment. Couple this with the fact that per capita nuclear has by far the lowest amount of deaths with almost all deaths from Fukushima being caused by the panic.
The only real problems arise from accidents involving nuclear material. Chernobyl and Fukushima are pretty much worst case scenarios, but are necessary to realize where design can improve to be as safe as absolutely possible. The moment we figure out how to permanently deal with nuclear waste (which is actually mostly contaminated hazmat suits and equipment, and little of the material is actually spent fuel rods), it’ll be a very viable power source.
There is surprisingly little waste, we can just encase it in a layered box of different materials and that thing will last until the radiation breaks down into led, we've thought about this for decades now but the public fear of radiation limits the approval
I wanna say for the voting thing in the USA, it may vary on the area, but if enough people write on the ballot a name of a person not listed they can actually be accounted for in the final count. This can be done for federal and state elections.
39:15 This also reminds me that Super Mario Galaxy is going to be an 18 year old game, which would make it an 18 year old series... *in 2 years.* Ive quite literally grown up with these 2 games.
Finally after seeing 12:34 I know I am not the only "weirdo" to do this. Took a break during a motorcycle ride today. Had myself a Clif bar and some coffee from a thermos. Stuffed the wrapper in my pocket, to get rid of it at home. Same with the tissue I had used to clean the cup of the thermos. Meanwhile some other people apparently cannot be arsed to take their own trash with them and leave literal piles of McDonald's packaging behind for someone else to clean up. Sometimes just a few feet away from a trash can. That laziness...I just don't get it.
0:27 I'm better than both because I take it out at zero seconds riiiiight before it beeps so that I don't have to hit “clear/cancel” (or leave it at 1 second like a jackass)
1:35:47: As a New Zealander, I can tell you what different parts of the flag represent. The union jack in the top-left corner is probably there because we got colonised by Britain. The stars are in the pattern of the Southern Cross star constellation.
1:02:20 while I've never had someone keep my resume after not being hired, I have had multiple local companies contact me about re-hiring after I left on my terms. It felt nice to be valued for my work even if I didn't need the position at the time.
5:37 my entire school district and the district i live in are powered by nuclear power and ever since finding that out, one of my friends has begun telling everyone in the elementary side of the school that they’re gonna be radioactive and glow in the dark from the lights. I love her so much, truly my role model
Here's the German Translation for 1:49:24 Girl : Can I have a beer, papa? I am turning 14 today. Guy : Yes. This is knowledge from Duolingo, so correct me if I'm wrong, this is just the basic saying.
Lets keep it a buck, all the phrases like "a score" or "half a dozen" are properly used to refer to a general amount. Yes, a dozen is literally 12, but you know full well when someone says "a dozen" it means "a dozen, or so" and are referring to anywhere between 11-14 of that thing.
15:40 i'm a huge fan of Mr. Beast but are we just gonna forget about the insane people saying he was evil? or calling him the anti-Christ? or saying he was exploiting the less fortunate for for personal gain? stuff like that? i feel like there are truly none who qualify because it doesn't matter how benevolent or selfless a rich person is someone will come up with some BS reason to hate them
in reality the prices of everything have gone up significantly since biden became president i am not saying that trump is a better president i actually tend to say that they all equally suck and we haven’t had a good president in a long time but yeah lip balm is definitely more expensive hell the deodorant i like to use has gone up from like 4 dollars a stick to 9-10 dollars a stick per stick of deodorant and i think the size did actually decrease as well
0:20 pathetic, I can take my food out with no time on the timer without letting it beep, so I don't have to cancel it when I want to use the microwave again and I don't have to hear a beep
20:00:40 that's the fallacy fallacy! disregarding a point purely because it is fallacious. remember: fallacies are just things that go "hey, this might be wrong?"
Band aid? I think you mean pre-assembled medical grade adhesive, a medical grade coated cellulose sheet, and medical gauze that we conveniently can lend you for $187, before tax of course.
