Glad to hear Deckorators Voyage is your top choice right now. We will be using it to build our deck coming up. For the price compared to Trex and Timbertech, it was an easy decision. And the traction on it was far superior to the other brands too.

Great choice! It certainly has the best collection of benefits in the industry right now!

Does butyl joist tape interact with pvc boards to make them brittle over time? Ive seen some things online sayijg butyl tape and pvc boards dont mix... thoughts?

I plan on using Decorators Voyage on my refurbishment of my new deck. I was told that if you use a 16" center-to-center truss span I will feel a bit of bouncing compared to my old Trex boards that were installed 20 years ago. I thought the Voyage line was more sturdy not less. I really don't want to add additional trusses if I don't need too, but at the same time I don't want to regret not adding them if needed. Any thoughts?

We are choosing between Timbertech Reserve, Timbertech Legacy, Deckorators Vault and Deckorators Voyage. I specifically mentioned that we were very interested in Voyage because of its traction and our contractor stated: “One thing to keep in mind when selecting is, if a board has a ton of grip or texture, then it will get dirtier faster. But also, if its more smooth, it can be slippery. Timbertech Reserve is usually what I recommend to people because its right in the middle.” Do you have thoughts on this statement?

Can you tell me the differences between the Deckorators "Voyage" and "Pioneer" lines (Deckorators "Pioneer" is sold at HomeDepots in Canada) ?

Where would you put the Azek board vs Other pvc boards? I have that as a choice in my area.

Some really beautiful colours. Scratches a little easy. Priced VERY premium compared to other PVC options.

I was considering some dry decking options and was looking for some reviews on your guys' page, but didn't find anything. Any recommendations come to mind? Besides aluminum decking, I thought I saw a mention of TImbertech also offering something.

We really like the Trex Rain Escapes option as it keeps the whole frame dry too and allows for electrical and audio to be run in the framing a little easier. But you can also look at a variety of undermount systems like TimberTech DrySpace, Under Deck Oasis, ZipUp Ceiling, etc.

@@TheUltimateDeckShop just seeing this now... fortunately I'm only now right at the point where I need to decide. REALLY wish an over-joist system was an option, but because of the weird angles of my deck, it's not going to work, unfortunately. Thanks!

@@mockingbird187 Have a look at ZipUp. The joist spacing and angles won't matter. It should work.

What about Envision brand?...top rated by consumer reports.

Not a huge fan of the look of it. I'd be leary of any report that says it's the top board in the market. I don't have much personal experience. I've heard from others that it's quite durable, but lots ofwarranty issues. Whatever that means. Take it with a grain of salt.

It's mostly been a UK product, but not been very available in Canada. Sounds like it's making its way over. Looks interesting.
