The funniest moments of Tristan Taylor from Yu-Gi-Oh the abridged series. All credit goes to Littlekuriboh for Ygotas and 4kids for Yugioh! I do not own the rights to any of the footage or audio in this video.
Canon Tristan barely contributed anything to the show. Making him an idiot for comic relief would of been far more interesting. Martin was truly a genius for what he did with the most useless character
I love how the official Konami licensed Yugioh game honored this Abridged series with a cool reference. One of Taylor’s unique powers in there is called “Super Strength”
@AlHasan Sameh mines a little fuzzy too but its the one where Samuel L Jackson and John Travoltas characters are in the one house with Marvin and those other guys
i love the monologue before he falls in the lava it wasn't so much funny but it really hit home for me "if I do die it'll be as a main character" "I used to think my voice gave me strength but now I know it's my love for you" that will always be my favorite tristan moment
Somehow doesn’t include the moment where Tristan’s voice dying from dying with scissors but I’d imagine we wouldn’t want to relive that traumatic moment
Because of the abridged series I completely forgot what tristan’s personality was like in the original anime. Did he even have a personality to begin with? My favorite Tristan quote is… well, all of them but the one I always think of is the Spider-Man one. The sadness in his voice is hilarious when bakura tells him he’s not spider man. I also love when he talks about his voice. Bakura I had no idea you were spider man! That’s because I’m not. Now we have to get out of here. You mean you’re not Spider-Man? Okay fine, I’m Spider-Man
I'd exclude GX because of Jim (Fossil Fusion-guy), but abridged Tristan is the best character who's not a duelist. Honestly, I wouldn't put it past Konami to give us Cyber Commander-support, considering that even HUNGRY BURGER got something, but for now, he's just a character who might not even have a deck. Sure, there's the duel against the council-guy from 4kids, but that duel was in a virtual world. Hell, the abridged series is so good that I don't even want to watch the actual Duel Monsters-anime! I've done that once and already forgot most of it.
Abridged Tristan is funny as fuck. I love the ones where he says something like "holy shit on a shit sandwich with shit on top with a side helping of shit. The bread is also shit"
@@BlueBlazeKing nah a lot of the older jokes either aren't that funny or are delivered in a way that distracts from the joke. It's true the audio quality affects this but it's just a combination of all the stylistic elements of the time. The redux of episode 1, which largely keeps the same script, really isn't funnier despite the higher quality and modified delivery of most jokes. It's fine, that's just how it was. But it does make me wonder what the beginning of the series would look like if it was totally re-done
@@NinjaLobsterStudios its partially because the internet was younger back then also. We all still remember “Screw the Rules, I have money”. Because it was funny, but if you heard it today in comparison to modern day memes you’d probably not laugh at all, it’s just an ok line. I also believe its the same in reverse, since most of our comedy is poopeestinka or a reference to something. If someone from 2011 heard our garbage they’d probably not laugh either.
@@silasmontgomery6982Everything being just a reference is actually just as common to early internet humor. All Abridged series used that as their main source of humor.
"The Best Of Tristan Taylor" - So...Pretty much every lines he ever said in TAS? I can live with that. "The name's Tristan Taylor and for the next 5 min, you guys are officially my bitches."
