His jumpsuits were really off white gaberdine wool, so the lights would not reflect back the light so much, look at the scarfs that are white and you can tell the difference, he also wore white suites so the fans in the back could see him on stage, KING ELVIS.
Elvis’s was spontaneous adding a little humor between the lines. My favorite live version is the 1970 version from That’s the Way it is. Much more high energy. You can tell he was having fun and the band followed his every move.
Super reaction❤ THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS❤️ Elvis inspires you to be a better human being❤️ You bring me and other Elvisfans a lot of Joy and Love❤️ Welcome to the Elvisfamily..It is filled with LOVE and FUN❤️😉
Yes, he was The Man. That’s what my dad and all the men called him. I remember my dad was on a phone call and he said, yea, were waiting to watch The Man 😁♥️👑
His 1970 live performance of this is much better, more energetic.and.more fun. He couldn't let loose like he usually did because this was a special concert......the first time a concert was seen via satellite all over the world to 42 countries and over 1.6 billion people. His Vegas concerts were more intimate and he goofed around snd l danced more. You could also hear the backup singers better. Elvis never took himself to serious, but for this special concert he wanted it to be perfect.
That kiss meant more to that woman than anything 🤣 Anyways, this is my fave performance of “Are You Lonesome Tonight” bc it’s so funny ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-imLTtAp_vOg.htmlsi=BT1Hu3MXs92Qzj-S and also take a peek at “An American Trilogy”
Hi Jimmy, I just wanted to say love your reaction but you need to react to suspicious minds Las Vegas. I believe 1972 or 1973? It’s completely different and so so so much better although this was good. You need to check out the other one and see the difference in the performances. Love your reactions to Elvis and I heard you say well if you guys get tired of them… Believe me when I tell you, we don’t get tired of them. I’ve been watching them for 50 years and I’m still not tired of them. God bless take care, love love love your reactions.
Live Las Vegas version is much better. 🙂 He was tame during the Aloha from Hawaii concert since it was being telecast via satellite all over the world. The whole concert is a little more formal than one when he was on tour. He did look fantastic in this concert.
Aloha was his most celebrated & perhaps most classy. It's a great show, but for energy and vocal variance, early 70s Elvis wins hands down in vegas. He was so "up for anything" in those days, at his creative peak and physical max!
We get a lot of entertainment from one song from him. Interaction with the crowd, funny lyrics. good moves. And that's just one song. He has the looks and the style. We don't get this with other artists, either they're violent or sexual. Like grabbing their crutch, Considering there's children in the audience.
Everyone is telling you to do the live Vegas version but no one is giving you the link -- it's ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T1g5tVGZhfk.html. BACKGROUND INFO for the song: Written by Mark James in '68, it's based on one night when James was fooling around on his guitar & came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James' wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of."
While this was a great version there is actually an even better live version from Las Vegas ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T1g5tVGZhfk.htmlsi=yEUxSEMcBphHawpU Also another fantastic live one to watch is Love Me Tender ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BeTurYZuY4A.htmlsi=NbbAkfpy3IadnGkM
- - - - NOT the good version. This was mediocre compared to his 1970 Live Version and the best one of all was 1969 Studio Original Version. As much as I love Aloha 1973 Concert, this song was 'just there.'
@@christielysdale1815 it's so intricate, sophisticated, & brilliantly crafted. It stands as perhaps Elvis' best work as a serious & modern artist, also showing his flexibility in 1969 for breaking out of his movie mold. Totally astonishing.
