Well, recently I had a Neverhood related dream with randomized Neverhood world, with new unique puzzles and returning puzzle elements. I went crazy when I woke up.

To answer your question seven years later, it is basically a tape that you have to collect as part of a set of 20 to finish the game.

It's some kind of tape or disc talking about their history and how it all happened of how. Neverhood and it's society brought to existence

Okay, no problem.

I don't think what's outside the window changes after the two halves are recombined. If you look at a full map of The Neverhood after it's recombination, you can see that the weird butter-bread house is behind the hall of records.
