Don't you think the benefit you get from the 3-piece Lengmo is cancelled out by how worthless the 1 and 2-piece are? Couldn't the same or better damage be achieved with Walker or maybe crit pieces? I just have hard time justifying wasting two stats with explosive resistance and skill health, which contribute exactly zero to an LMG build. I really can't imagine what the devs were smoking when they conceived Lengmo.

I made this build and it's great in the range. it's funny to watch those tics drop off on the NPC's but reality in open world you can't get those stacks to pop (on heroic all directives engaged) I couldn't get those numbers to proc in open world so let's not be deceived this build is GREAT inside the White House but open world you'll die just trying to get the proc of all the talents collaborating for the synergy. Love the info and inspiration to create new builds using different talents..... So I took this that inspired me to create a status / crit instead of glass cannon go trauma and instead of unstoppable go wicked or creeping death w/ status n crit damage...... W.I.P but I'm surviving and I'm able to get proc thank you n good video mate.
I don't die with this build but I do find that getting max can be rough but only because things die so fast. I do kill myself if I chase getting max stacks as being out of cover for so long can be rough 🤣
I actually have this build but I like using the new exotic gloves that just came out to blind fire at enemies up close. I know people piss on those gloves but I would say try it, it’s actually handy in this build, to get ticks without getting hit as much accurately.
Pestilence build is the 1st build that allowed me to play heroic difficult setting. My old gear attributes were set to status effects because apparently that increased the damage of the ticks. Not sure if that is still the case. I think its weapon damage that affects the tick damage
I just jumped back into Division 2 since year one. My very first exotic after clearing the warlords of New York dlc, was pestilence and i love it. Since then I've been just using whatever I can to make it viable. I really want to try and make a True Patriot set but i need that pesky ninja backpack lol. Awesome build
Been running the exact same build for a few months now and it is my favourite build. I get 1.58m ticks as my Pesty is at lvl 21. Surprisingly, the all red Lengmo chest dropped soon after Lengmo got added to the game and I wasn't looking for a glass canon all red chest but stuffed it away in the stash thinking I might need it sometime and the rest is history...Oh and on the NPC's not being affected by reapplying the Plague, that's not true. The Plague icon doesn't show after the first application but the ticks can be refreshed by just firing a few extra shows to keep the plague going. Great for Rogue agents where they won't die from tick damage alone (15m+ damage) as you can top up the Plague and get another 15m damage.

I love my Pest build, I use it for the speed runs. But I happened on it by just trying to get to proficiency up on the gear brand. It's more on status effect than damage, and it allows for more armor. Where it shines is during "Golden Bullet " events where your RPM goes up when killing at golden bullet holder. Of course, the downside is that it does take longer for you to break armor. As such, you have to have distance from the target.

I know your going for ultimate tick damage with this build,but its one of those builds that is actually more user friendly if you dont , pesti doesnt greatly benifit from crits it takes an age to reload its slow rpm means your exposed to danger for longer whilst shooting so glass cannon is bad for the playstyle it requires and the backpack only procs if your the one that gets the kill and skill health and explosive resistance bonuses are not being utilised at all,if you build to use everything it offers instead of damage its much nicer to use, so 3 piece legmo + contractors + petrov chest + saywers kneepads all rolled to hazpro and explosive resistance or weapon handling unbreakable on the chest companion on the backpack and a healing drone which gets to use the Legmo skill health bonus) to proc it works nicely quicker reloads and accuraracy from 2 petrov extra danage from sawyers knees and you cant be blown out of cover it means you can stay up top in the boat on legendary Roosevelt on your own with no healer no problem it still hits hard enough i know coz i solod capital Hill on legendary and used my pesti build for last boss area and it worked a treat by, just saying👍😃
I slap regen on my pesty builds. It's funnies. You're right you don't really miss the crit damage. I also am not 100% sure but I think rate of fire might affect the speed of the tick damage

This is a solid build and makes use of the Lengmo brand set. Ive got the lengmo with perfect Unstoppable force, but dont think i have one with glass cannon. Some more farming lol.
FINALLY, a good Pesti build lol. Cheers. Tried it out, VERY unoptimized. (mine that is lol) Works well still. Got a blue in there but still tickin for 1,4 mil
Try with true patriot and 3 piece whatever gear set Picaro’s holster (I forgot the name) gives you so much ammo per belt on the pestilence or any other LMG. I hope True Patriot gets its 3 piece buffed, having it less than a gold three piece is bad balance IMO
Agreed! True Patriot needs to be buffed back to the way it was when it was originally released. The game, along with the NPC's is strong enough to handle it now.
Good build DJ. If I can make a few recommendations that is simple to build but had that same if not better results. Coyotes mask, perfect glass Canon, perfect vigilance, and Sawyers knee pads. Your gloves and holster are the same as what your running. All easy to acquire. I ban get this to tic for 1.8+ if someone else is running Coyotes. With golden bullet I've had it tic for 2.8 million. Fun build. Cheers!
I love pestilence when it spread to enemy behind cover... those bastard sometime won't pop up for me to shoot, or the worst one. The one in the mission where it pop above area you in, but you can't get into that area until it secure, and 1 of them just keep hiding behind the cover and not atk. Edit, oh it was this mission u showcase, at that area at the end of your showcase. I was so annoting of that 1 add who cover at the top lol
Its worth buying the game currently? Loving the build, the pestilence was my first exotic and my favorite weapon when i was playing on PS4 I am debating picking up the game on steam
Little Update - I upgrated my pestilence for fun to expertice 25. Now I got a dmg of 1.802.545 per tick. But just to make it clear. This Setup is just a test how high you can get the dmg per tick and should not mean this is the best build to play the pestilence or something like that. I just tried to figure out how high I can get with the dot :)
Crits dont matter as much as pure weapon damage. You need to load weapon damage and have a few weapon handling rolls to help with handling. 3 lengmo, backbone, glass conon, contractors, parcarios holster, and w/h. Stack the weapon damage.

If you’d put 2 walker Harris for the damage to armor, which is what the pestilence works off of, you’d hit way harder than with that coyotes mask, just saying
3 piece airaldi, 2 piece walker Harris, contractor gloves all rolled with chance and weapon handling would absolutely destroy the stats on this bro, try it for yourself if you don’t believe me
Absolutely Solo. Why ? Because I play with an agent who uses it - they tend to get the kill on everything because of the virus-spread, which negates most talents of mine proccing. Even with striker any killdependent talents proc maybe 25% of normal. P.S., I already have FC6.
You’re playing it like a traditional dps build man. You have 1.5m ticks. That takes out every heroic enemy in the game with the exception of named bosses. Just stack it and stay in cover and just watch the entire thing die on its own with a single magazine
by my testing this is not the best build for max ticks or damage as you are clearly missing sawers and the coyote has no bearing on damage or ticks in relation to the gun also this must be your preference as it only adds team buffs so if you wanted max damage and ticks the mask shouldnt be used mate
The pestilence will hit way harder with damage to armor than it will with weapon damage bro, sorry. I have a yellow pestilence build that the tic still hits for over 600k damage
It's funny though, because my mate is farming the build you have showcased or very similar and I have just sent him your video. He has been on it for weeks Was like "mate, you are already hitting 1.4m"🤣. I am doing the same with an Electrique SMG build and I am probably wasting my time also.
