I’m really jealous Jay Jay! How many times I mentioned Bleecker Street Pizza and Nonna Maria to you🙀?Finally you tried it in person👍😸, and I hope your picture will be on the wall next to Here Be Barr one!☝️😆
You were 100% right about the Nonna Maria! THE BEST! Dad Be Barr knows his Pizza! It would be an honor to be up on that wall with Here Be Barr the LEGEND!
2:29 it's nice that they import it personally from Italy, more for bragging rights than anything, because generally speaking, if a cheese is called "Parmigiano Reggiano" it means that it's made in Italy, in the Emilia-Romagna region. It's all about DOP or PDO in English. You can't make it in Wisconsin or in any other place of the world and call it Parmigiano Reggiano, legal reasons. So if if on the packaging it says Parmigiano Reggiano DOP/PDO, it's made in Italy either way, and the quality should be the same.
Boy it looks fantastic! I love Pizza! I live in Connecticut, and haven't been to NYC since 2005! We have good pizza here but not like that.. I need to plan a trip! Good to see John and Jason!
@Alex WallaceIf you are close to New Haven you got apizza at Sally’s or Modern Apizza, not to shabby, but I’m biased - Bleecker Street Pizza with Nonna Maria is #1😺😃
Now you’re making me want to eat Pizza all day! Awesome video with Jon Barr, Jason Rupp and Ben! The NY Pizza looked so delicious! Thank you Jaycation for showing us the different kinds of Pizzas in New York!
Never been to New York, but the best pizza I've had is at Sirricos Pizza over at New York New York in Vegas. I always take two pies home from there every time I go to Vegas. In a matter of fact, just came back from Vegas last Friday and again, brought back two pies home! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕 Enjoy your stay in the NYC Jay!👍👍👍
This reminds me of one of my favorite slices in the city. This place called John & Joe's in the Pelham section of the Bronx. The slice is also marinara heavy. I'm definitely heading down to Bleeker to try this one. Lived in Manhattan my whole life and have never been.
Imagine Jon filming in New Rochelle. Buratta Pizza is pretty good. It's in Eastchester and their pizza is Neapolitan style wood fired using ingredients imported from Italy. For NYC style pizza in Westchester, Antonio's in Peekskill is decent. It's hard to find good pizza in the Hudson Valley though!
