Can easily argue and say that Barou's stubbornness holds him back as a player(at least in the first selection). And also, while the pass from Reo did help, it was Nagi that moved on his own and the one making the plays in that moment. Just a reminder, this is before Nagi truly awakened(he only awakened in the Team Z match)

Both scored 10 goals and Nagi had some assists. If you read the spinoff you will see that Nagi slept through most of the first game as the GK, and in the second match he was only trying to assist Zantetsu. He was only serious against Barou and team V
