That's a fantastic setup. Those are great watts and solar array would do everything & more than I would ever need to live happily off grid plus a few things I can't have right now being off grid for the last 8 plus years. At the end of the month, I start my 9th year.

Hey Sam, this is one of the best reviews I have seen on a BLUETTI setup. Very detailed and easy to understand. Showing what the BLUETTI could handle and the hours it would run those particular things was super helpful. Nice job buddy.

Thanks! This is the 2nd to last power pack review video we'll do on this channel though. We agreed to do this one plus one more months ago, when we were still living off grid, but they were late in arriving. We don't want this channel to become a review channel and know our viewers would not appreciate it. I still really enjoy the technical part of all this and getting to test out things. Hence the new channel. :) I like your new channel name too!

@@GreenAcreHomestead Haven't commented but do like your channel. What I don't like on any RU-vid channel is commercials put across as "reviews". I know how this works. Marketing departments a.k.a. ADVERTISING contact RU-vid channels and offer FREE products in exchange for "review". Funny how all these "reviews" on various channels are only positive! The company gets very cheap advertising and the channel owner gets free products. If I had my way, these "reviews" would be ruled as fake and outlawed! Again, like your channel. But.... I'm also an advocate for the consumer. I wouldn't be so peed off if various channel channel owners would disclose that that they got the products free from the marketing department of the company, and only positive reviews are posted! By the way, only watched enough of this video to confirm it was a "review" :) Have a nice day!

Excellent review demonstrating capabilities without getting to technical. Glad you are creating a separate video with the geeky stuff for those that want to go to that depth. Keeping it charged via solar or even an electric cord and on standby ready to go at a remote location is a great idea. When needed it can be in the house during an outage. I would like to see you using it in the house, and your solar installation that will feed this beast. If you have a need for 240v like for a well pump or other it would be nice to see someone demonstrating in the real world Bluetti meeting that need, not just a sales pitch that it can.

I have a Bluetti system that I use for our camper. It is only a 120VAC unit which is great, but is even better for extended camping trips to keep our phones charged, and has 3 solar panels to keep it charged during the day. I mainly purchased it for the phone benefits, and also to make my morning coffee. I simply love it. I wish I spent a little more to add the 30 amp camper circuit, that would have definitely been the better choice. Sam you will have a new subscriber to that new channel.

The only thing over there currently as of October 9, 2022 is two "shorts;" I sure been hoping that you will be having full length videos over there because those "shorts" are just annoyingly small, looks like when someone turned their phone camera wrong way to make a video. I watch from a computer screen so maybe it don't look that way to people who watch on their phone. AS ALWAYS LOVE BLOOPERS and I hope you do that on your other channels too.

I hate to start filming them in a construction zone.

I like that but too bad it doesn't take him 5,000 watts of solar then it'd be really good generator. Of course I do believe solar generator should be able to take in 1/2 times more than they can use from solar panels this way if you have to use the full amount it would run 24 hours a day but then you probably need more than 6 battery packs.
@thomasfreeman7770

This should have been the first post to the Juice Box. It seems pretty strange that you say Angela can run her soap shed off of that one 20 amp outlet. A/C, microwave, fan, computer, and other lights seem to be an overload on 20 amps unless you intended to say not all at once. This plus the voltage drop in the extension cord even though it’s heavy duty. So what’s your final intentions for homestead power other than this for your shop. Will you run grid power to the new shed and soap shed permanently. Or do you want to eventually engineer a system that shares solar panels output to the entire homestead electricity system with the grid?
@williamkn621
@williamkn621 Год назад
Yep. He's got a 20 amp cord from the blue Eddie to Angela's shop. Why didn't he just run it to the mobile home where he has grid power? It's a very expensive middle man extension cord isn't it?

Sam the one drawback I have seen in other makers.is not being able to charge AND use the system to power stuff. I gather that it uses the "inverter" or "control unit" to control stuff to the point where it is unable to provide power to its outlets while charging its batteries. Not sure I said that right but for example I saw a Darbin Orvar video where she was using her solar panel array to charge the batteries but she could NOT use her system to also run a small teakettle because it was in charge mode. I cannot see a situation where I would not need power at the same time I was charging. Things like phones, tablets, computers, and other devices that may use USB ports to charge. Do you plan to clarify that dilemma for me? Worst case, is in a cabin with a small heater to prevent frost/freezing in the cabin and having to recharge the batteries for the power station. Obviously the heater is critical but shutting it off so I could charge the batteries is a NIMBY situation. I won't name the makers but Bluetti was one in her possession.
