Adjust the first HDR SETTINGS to barley I mean barley seeing it the 3 hdr setter set it all the way to the darkest where you can see it so In essence now you’re getting for peak brightness and sunny scenarios and and dark detailed shadows and dark places
Appreciate the lesson. I just recently purchased a 48” LGC1 and wanted to find a easy to understand video breakdown of how to get the most out of my PS5. I like how you didn’t just point and generalize each setting like I’ve seen on other videos. “This is for that” then moved on. You actually went in-depth for what each meant. My TV-iQ went up 3pts⬆️ lol.
Thanks so much fam this totally changed my gaming experience and my games look so much smoother. I never would of known what to change if I didn’t find you🖤🖤
Fantastic Video...I purchased a new Sony 55 inch and was experiencing an ever so slight lag in between my gaming movements. Your descriptions with the TV behind you were the perfect assistance. Thank you
You’re welcome! Yes sometimes HDR creates substantially brighter whites, creating a “wash out” look. Depending on your model TV it can be more substantial just leaving HDR off at this time!
Thank you for this video! PS5 is the only console in my console collection where the image looks weird and off. It's weird Sony didn't have this system adjust itself to whatever tv you may have.
It’s ridiculous that the “better” they try and make the graphics look… the worse it actually looks, because now their is so many new picture settings and display settings that its nearly impossible to get it to look as good as you think it should be
Very useful information, I didn’t know about the deep color output, I think I have it off on my ps5 but on on my monitor, I gotta check that because sometimes I feel there’s something wrong with the colors
@@JohnHammer can you please make a video on how to fix your ps4. So basically yesterday I was cleaning my ps4 I turned on my ps4 I started updating a game then my ps4 randomly closed and now when I try to turn it on the blue light turns on then it turns off and I hear a beep and when I turn my ps4 on my fan turns on then it closes. Please make a video how to fix it I looked at other videos how to fix it but do you know any other way then opening up all of your ps4? Please make a video on this
Great presentation I will try this if I ever decide to play my ps5 and on a large tv I am a pc gamer so I have a ASUS 24 in gaming moniter with eye care tech 1ms reaction time all my games seem to look fine and preform well in 1080p but I will try this in the future thanks
Yes I have 2 the digital version and disc version. But target won't let me get anymore. For me and my son. I tried to sell the digital one and no one wanted it until I put it on Facebook
Like and subbed! What an amazing information. I got 2 questions: 1. From a tv/oled reviewer I got the tip to change the HD brightness number 3 (dark) and the way done (most dark), is that correct? And I have a Philips oled but I can't find these setting the names are so completely different. Can you help me with this? I can make a video of my options or something else, would mean the world to me. I have Philips 806. Thx again
Very detailed video, but doesn't quite answer my question ... what is 4K from PS5? Sure, sounds like a silly question, but ... I have just purchased the C2. Pressing the green button does the same as yours and has the same settings. My Current Video output is showing 3840x2160 - 60Hz, colour format RGB (HDR), HDCP 2.3 ... your video explains that it matches the VRR Information displayed - I believe the fact it is showing 3840x2160 confirms it is displayed in 4K...but see my comment below re Auto Resolution and the option to Test 1440p. It says 120Hz is supported for HDR and non-HDR, so why isn't it using 120Hz??? I think this is where I need to watch the video you mention right at the end, but I can't see a link in the comments. The thing that is bugging me, Screen and Video Resolution is set to Automatic, with an option to Test 1440p Output, but ... does that mean it is set to 1440p??? (It is strange I can manually choose 2160p ) Your video does not show the Test option ... perhaps the ps5 has been updated since(?)
When it comes to the Ps5s HDR setting, should I make it barely visible or should I go one step past barely visible? from what I've heard, many people say that it should be one step past barely visible so that the sun disappears by 1 click. Any thoughts about that? I DON'T use HGIG by the way.
You adjusted your HDR incorrectly and your going to miss highlights in your games. Instead, adjust the HDR to the point where the sun is no longer visible and, if you have an OLED, once you get to the dark HDR screen - adjust that all the way down. An OLED TV produces true black. You do not want the HDR brightening the black levels in a scene when the scene should be pitch black.
Hello, thanks for the video. I have TV TCL c735 model and PS5 and unfortunately strange issue. When enable VRR in TV and Console I have something which is called "Inverse ghosting" when moving camera in games. Its like this blur effect on movement, very bad looking. I have oryginal Hdmi cable from PS5 in HDMI1 140 htz slot connected on TV, also same settings as You on PS5 Hdmi menu. Any idea/help will be useful. Thanks!
How do I get my colour format to RGB? Mine is automatically on YUV and I can't change it because it Says something about HDMI 2.0 transfer speed limitations which don't make sense because I am using the 2.1 cable that came with the PS5 and my TV has 2.1 HDMI ports.
Hello John Can i Ask What kind of Tv You Have cause mine is Pretty Bad and i Need a New One if There is One You Recommed Pls Reply But Has To be Cheap :) Thank You
So I guess Deep color is called Color tuner on my RCA TV thanks I'm really learning stuff here also about adjusting my HDR 👍ps. This Color tuner option has so many tweaking options without preprogrammed settings that I may never get the perfect picture humph
Hdr is way too overrated in my opinion. It messes with the colours way too much. Also I find in my own experience, freesynch and HDR don't work all too well together
Hi I just got a ps5 please help me to understand which visuals and graphics settings are best for my ps5 all so is the graphics booster thing out yet which is advertising on you tube
John hammer thank you for a amazing review. The fact the review is amazing is content and clear content (without fillers and time wasting stuff). It's clear and crisp and most needed info. Thank you and keep going with perfect content. God bless
hi so i tried playing ghost of tsushima with the hdr the picture looks SO MUCH DARKER than it should be , when I turn it off it looks a lot better, what should I do in this case? i tried all settings and it still looks worse
I have a question my man! Okay so I set up hdr through the system settings of the ps5, now do I adjust the hdr levels in the games that support it too, or do I leave all the levels at 0 in game, so that only my system settings are coming into play.
@@nebrotron9483 okey doke no worries. Cheers for the reply. Lets hope the guy who made this video will reply to us. What im gathering from what ive seen is that you can set the ps5 hdr setting for standard gameplay, and it will do its best on hdr content. But if the newer types of games have been made to purely be hdr compliant, then thats where you would use the extra settings in the game aswell to further better the hdr experience. Not sure though. Hard to find much info on it
