I drove to Rhode Island by myself and ate at a restaurant by myself and ordered 4 entrees and the amount of looks I got from people bc I was watching was crazy but never felt so liberated in my entire life! U really need to enjoy your own company

Their food is yummy yummy and you haven't even seen nothing yet. if you try their Ox tail with white rice or Goat meat with white rice and fried pork fat. MMM! The meat falls off the bone. so good!

You should go to Jibarito y más! Get a some Jugo de Parcha and my fave rice and beans with breaded Chicken. Oh and add a sorullo de maíz and don’t forget the Mayo ketchup. Nice that you are doing puertorrican food, since I am puertorrican and living in Chicago. Definitely Puerto Rico needs to be recognized more not because of its food but the current situation they experienced from past hurricanes. Maria and Fiona. Maria led me to move. Are you kidding Sean Mitchell you super thanks for me because I’m going through some tough stuff right now I mean what I can’t even that is so freaking nice I’m watching this at 6 AM with my raging insomnia and like this is the nicest thing that has happened to me in a really long time. Yo you super thanks‘d on my behalf because I’m going through some rough stuff!? anyone who takes the time to go out of their way to do anything nice for anyone else is just next level for me (and should be for everyone) I can’t even! 🥰

Sean here is a heads up on what to really buy when it comes to Puerto Rican or Latin food in general: 1. Pernil (uniquely seasoned to bring you to your knees pork shoulder oven roasted) ask for some of the skin and fat on it. Eat it with Mofongo (mashed plantain) or Tostones (fried flattened plantain). Or with the standard rice and beans. 2. Vacalaitos (fried cod fish coated in flour and flattened). 3. Dominican Arepa and not the south American version (dense corn cake... heavenly). 4. Argentinian Carne Asada or Sausage (grilled meat over fire). 5. Colombian Bandeja Paisa (has pork belly fried with rice, beans, fried egg, avocado and fried steak all on one dish 6. Mexican grilled or fried fish. 7. Sancocho (hearty soup made the best by Puerto Ricans and Dominicans). 8. Ensalada De Pulpo (Octopus Salad that most Latin countries know how to do well). 9. Brazilian Feijoada (thick bean stew with meat). Or they also make incredible fish stews. 10. Last but not least from our European motherland Spain, authentic Paella with Jamon Iberia (uniquie rice with a ton of stuff in it like shrimp, saffron, mussels, Chorizo sausage). The Jamon from the Iberia region in Spain is the best ham on the planet. Even my brothers from Italy come over to Spain to buy entire cooked ham legs and take it back to Italia. All these foods I recommend are smack everybody's mama hard. That's how good they are. But, NEVER EVER fall into the trap of buying any Latin food in touristy areas, especially in Spain or you will end up eating really bad overpriced garbage. Ask around where do the poor people live in those Latin countries and go there. Then once there, ask the locals through Google Translator on your phone where are the best local but cheap restaurants in each respective area so that they won't think that you as a Gringo white guy is only looking for expensive restaurants. Your welcome.
